  6. You do indeed. You don't look like you've 'dropped' yet (when you get that much needed gap at the top of your ribcage as baby's head moves down) so maybe my estimation date was a tad premature

  8. I think this could be why. CUK (not sure about the Irish Coeliac Society) and all UK docs say codex is safe for 'most' coeliacs. If you posted the question 'who reacts to codex?' on an English coeliac board you will be swamped with replies. There is much to learn about this disease (remember when they thought you'd grow out of it?) IMO , what...

  12. Hi Taylor, My husband was dx with Psoriatic Arthritis (similar to RA - no rheumatoid factor) 2 yrs before his dx of celiac disease. Going gluten-free has improved the level of pain and swelling he suffers - BUT it hasn't disappeared. His flare ups are less frequent but he does still get them. The fact that your x-rays already show damage to...

  17. Although my son was on a 'gluten' diet before his bloods I did up the 'ante' slightly in the weeks before. He would never eat bread or cakes (mmmm big sign! ) so I used to sneak it in. I used to stir flour into his gravy on dinners and also his porridge - and allowed more junk food than normal (KFC = gluten) He was getting gluten in all 3 meals...
  18. ...and consider yourself very special (well you don't want to be like the 'common coeliacs' ) as you don't have the 'usual' genes. I'd be interested also as to what genes you have
  19. Go Lisa!!! You CAN do it!!
  20. Well Tom, the proposed house looks great to me. I think you'd be horrified by (not just our teef) how close and such small property we live in in London (or any highly populated town in England) Wow - DE- TACHED!! ....I could only dream!

  22. Low platelets have been picked up for my hubby in the last year (he's been gluten-free 3 yrs) - he's under a haemotoligist who's monitoring it. They tend to go up and down of their own accord (are still low now but not dangerously so) No idea if it's connected to celiac disease though
  23. I felt exactly the same!! No terrible moods - nothing Kicking myself that I hadn't done it earlier (and yes I've tried before and it was AWFUL!) I think it's when it's the right time for you and you're ready it just works out ...Need to apply that philosophy to losing a few pounds now
