    I'm not in B/ham (I'm in E London) but my hubby (who is the coeliac) is yet to come across a bar that actually sells gluten-free beer (although you can get it in supermarkets) Hubby usually ends up having either cider or an alchopop (e.g bacardi breezer) Not all coeliacs get the 'temporary' lactose intolerance.     Agreed. It's free at the point of entry, but you (seriously) might die waiting to see that specialist. If you don't like the alotted doc you finally get to see - too bad If I had the money I would pay for private healthcare. Many procedures in the UK (e.g heart bypass, hip replacements) can be refused on the grounds of smoking/obesity.

    Oh well Will keep watch for any updates. ...and can I just say how marvellous it is that you can get the relevant tests AND results so quick!! With our NHS you'd wait 6 months for an MRI...and 6 months for the appt after to discuss results!!! GOOD LUCK

    I've no great ideas I'm afraid Lisa as my hubby suffers the same thing (fatigue/lack of appetite) most of the time. Just checking the obvious - anaemia/hypothyroid been crossed off the list??? Hope you feel better soon

    I wouldn't say the patches are a symptom of celiac disease per se. Vitiligo is an autoimmune disease (as is celiac disease) If you have one autoimmune disease you are more likely to get another (they like to run in packs!!!) My son has celiac disease + vitiligo My husband has celiac disease + rheumatoid arthritis.

    *groan* - what are you doing to me Patti!!!! UH - The weather is ATROCIOUS!!!! - constant rain, cold windy nasty weather. We're still waiting for 'summer' (HARUMPH!!) I think I've got SADS (seasonal affective disorder) ....I needs me some SUN!!!!!!..and QUICK!!!!

    Hi Gareth, fellow Brit here. Fries are ok unless there is another 'special' on (e.g potato wedges) as these are fried in with the chips but have a flour coating on them. (I think there are 'mexican' potato wedges on at the moment - so hold off on the fries) Anything else - look at the back off the paper sheet that is placed on the trays - it lists...
