ARCHIVED Gutpro Or Custom Probiotics - Any Experience From Super Sensitives?
IrishHeart replied to carolynmay's topic in Super Sensitive People
Glad to hear it is helping and not causing problems! I really think if you go slowly, with child's doses--- and ramp up gradually, you will see the benefits and do just fine. PM me if I can help any further. Cheers, IH -
ARCHIVED Gluten Free And Constipated
IrishHeart replied to jenhunter's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Guys, seriously??....lower bowel stimulants and various chemicals and dependency on them to "make you go"--- is not really healthy. Water. Lots of water. Start your day with 16 oz. of water. Please, just try the ground flaxseed meal in water instead of those OTC preps that will wipe out your entire gut flora. That stuff is designed for colonoscopy... -

We do not want to go too far off the topic or the original poster's question, but I will quickly suggest this: Children will transition faster. The "picky eater" ? this suggests to me that he has a gluten/dairy issue. (I was a picky eater as a child, too) That's all he wants? That's a big clue. Just approach this as "food" we are eating, not... -

Ah, a real Oregonian tells us the truth....so, for the most part, it is too wet! Bless you and thanks for the real answer....um, I do not need webbed feet. It's plenty wet (with snow) here in NY. A Bostonian by birth, I've had my share of the "wet stuff".... -

ARCHIVED Ear And Jaw Pain Anyone?
IrishHeart replied to GFceliacgirl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I heard you sweetie! and I have always appreciated your advice. I have done the Biosil; I do take the Curaphen still--great product: I also tried Hyaluronic acid, upon the advice of my MT/PT and I just ordered the NeoCell Super Collagen. I also do flaxseed oil and L-glutamine. Little by little, I reduce the inflammation and I am not ready... -
ARCHIVED Ear And Jaw Pain Anyone?
IrishHeart replied to GFceliacgirl's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I'm in agony from it. Neck, back, jaw, ear.... all my joints, muscles, tendons....I am in PT rehabbing right now. It lessens as the inflammation goes down, but I have a long way to go. I was UnDXed for years. You may see relief sooner! -
ARCHIVED Can Gluten Cause Ms And Other Autoimmune Disorders?
IrishHeart replied to TomC's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Well, good! Really, kiddo....this part of it is not much fun-- the beginning stages...But, in a few weeks, as you start to feel better, you'll be encouraged to stay the course. No fretting! Serves no purpose ---except it gives you sore shoulders, wicked jaw pain and makes your eyes all wrinkly ( & who needs that?) Cheers, IH -
The What's For Dinner Tonight Chat
IrishHeart replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
aw, gosh, well, I love you, too. I hate to see a girl deprived of food---when there are so many options out there. Irish thinks you should come and clean her house. It would be very good for you! (probably not buying that one, eh? meh, it was worth a shot) Dinner tonight is: veal osso bucco in the slow cooker. My shoulder is... -
ARCHIVED Can Gluten Cause Ms And Other Autoimmune Disorders?
IrishHeart replied to TomC's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
Other foods do not really cross-react or do any damage. You may have other food intolerances, but for most celiacs, those are temporary and resolve off gluten. (notice I said "most") You may be able to add those foods back in soon. I have many CNS symptoms and they are resolving slowly. It Takes time to heal. You will have to be patient now. ... -

I'm with you --I do not crave gluten. I miss cheese more than gluten. (dammit, I love cheese.) hey, you ditched the helmet! nice pic! Hubs agrees about the beer, but will slug down a New Planet or a Green's and say "it's okay!!". (and he gave it up voluntarily! his beloved Guinness--mother's milk of the Irish! I know--he's a G D saint!) ... -

(groan) Oh NO, you didn't say that....arrgh!! that's my Mom's joke. And it's not funny when she says it either. She also used to tease us with this nugget when we were kids: We'd ask "what's for dessert?" and she'd say "DESERT the table!". (groan) Geesh, my Mom was kinda mean, now that I think about it. I'm gonna call her right now and... -

It cooled off to the 80's yesterday and it should be this way all week here in NY. It's only 75 right now. (I like it hotter, honestly) Like Sylvia, we need some rain or the grass will be toast soon. -

You KNOW Annalise Roberts? And you didn't tell me?? and you're on a first name basis? Cool! hey, tell her my lemon bars were a hit--but that you have to dust them with confectionery sugar in the back seat of your car. Gotta love a woman who even HAS a Kugelhoph pan!!!!!!! ARCHIVED Can Gluten Cause Ms And Other Autoimmune Disorders?

The link does not work, hon. Try posting it again? There is no cure for MS --or any other AI disease---as far as I know. There are treatments and ways to put the symptoms into remission. My friend Suze did the same thing by going sugar and grain-free 25 years ago, avoiding a wheelchair and running the Boston Marathon. But she still has MS. -

It's 20 ppm here too. Open Original Shared Link (And it's just as nerve- wracking when you can tell there is gluten in them, believe me---I pay for it for weeks. Most everything we do is a bit of Russian roulette, yes?) But some people are not comfortable with this level either and that is completely understandable, so, everyone needs to decide...
