  1. Hold on you guys, I'm going to find the link to the site that I found helpful....be right back... Got it! Open Original Shared Link
  2. Headaches are the "fun" part of detox--aren't they?? UGH!! good news....they will pass! Hang in there!! PS...Love your kitty cat! adorable!
  3. This is what I was thinking when I posted earlier....and had some time to think on it....because I was so pissed off about this situation and needed to cool off. The doctor will likely refuse to talk with you as he cannot divulge information, so you can't get him to tell you what the parents' instructions were. So, you may never know the truth about that...
  4. Interesting question... I look at gluten as poison....so an accidental small dosing of Gluten (like last week at the dentist's office) makes me a nauseous, sick, space-cadet head, full of anxiety, raging insomnia with a side of heartburn and diarrhea that burns from my mouth to my rectum ...plus stomach cramping and the burning neuropathy in my whole...
  5. I have most of these symptoms too and am trying a no sal diet for 2 weeks.....I'll keep you posted. It DOES limit the intake of a LOT of foods, so I am reluctant to do this for long. I was using a TON of supplements, herbals, etc and I think that made it worse.... I am not sure if it is SA or just me--I am only gluten-free 2+ months, but since you...
  6. THIS IS a most UPLIFTING POST!! :D Good for you!!!! and thanks for sharing. It really gives me great hope!! I don't give a rat's patootey if I eat gluten or soy ever again, but cheese would be awesome!!!!!!!!!!!!
  7. I am sick to read this. I too, wish I had someone recognize this in me as a child. It would have spared me a lifetime of illness, crippling pain, and things like miscarriages...This thing is not something to mess with. There is NO SUCH THING AS "MILD CELIAC"--what the hell?? This is child endangerment. This poor kid---if she is still sick, HOW is this...
  8. I'm sorry, I "forgot" to add ....yes, memory issues clear up too ...LOL LOL LOL Some of 2009 and 2010 are lost to me....but they were not so great health wise anyway...
  9. Do not be sorry for that message!! I am happy to listen!! Yup, we have to focus on the success stories. one woman's message to me made me CRY--in RELIEF because she had all the same symptoms--even had the burning mouth I have and it is gone from her now..... It is hard to believe...but you will come to a point where you will stop fretting about...
  10. I didn't even sleep when I was a baby! LOL My sister and dad took turns rocking me to sleep in the middle of the night...mom was sound asleep.. I think a warm foot soak would help, yes! then, elevate them after so they do not get puffy? I hope it helps! Honestly, I think the sleep meds make it worse...Just my humble opinion. Be careful when you stop...
  11. This is also good news--that you feel more awake and less "draggy"... ... progress!!
  12. Good luck--and yes, walking and yoga will help!! Anything to keep things moving--detox the system. Keep us posted!!
  13. Poor babe! It truly sux. Me too--sleep meds, valium!! even...geesh.All the drugs did was "whip me up" more. I stopped trying things a few months ago. here's the thing...it takes a long time for that poison to get out of the gut, the organs, the skin....and I know what you mean about the jealousy thing I never thought I'd be "jealous" about people...
  14. AMEN, SISTER!! :D
  15. Looks like you just needed more fiber to bulk up your stools and to get things rolling more smoothly. I forgot to mention that I used psyllium for a while too. Sorry I failed to tell you that one, too--but it seems you have figured it out! Good! Cheese? oh, yes!! I miss cheese more than I miss gluten...sigh...ah well, maybe someday down the road. ...
  16. I had really violent, scary dreams on gluten. People standing over me, going to kill me, or I was running from someone. There were good ones, too where I could fly like superman (which is funny, cause I do not like to fly)or I was with relatives who have passed and we were having fun ..OR upsetting ones where I was supposed to teach a class and I was not...
  17. I have to show you my new avatar. I am going back to Chili Chinchilla but I wanted you to see this.

  18. Poor babe.sorry!!...yeah, that "seasoning" stuff is tricky. I avoid all that stuff for that very reason.
  19. Judy! and Love2Travel! Thanks for the encouragement.!! I'm having a downer day in pain and came on here to cheer up !! It is interesting you post about back pain (sorry you have pain, hon!!) as mine is KILLING me!!and my shoulders/neck.arms..geesh!! ...I have awful debilitating muscle/joint pain --even my legs/hips/buttocks are in agony...and that...
  20. Apple and pork...yum---I always put ground nutmeg in my pork & apple stuffing, homemade applesauce.. and a pinch of nutmeg is AWESOME in quiches. . Wow, you guys!I cannot believe I am even talking about my love for cooking again. It disappeared for 3 years while I was so sick and unable to eat, losing a drastic 90 lbs. I am a bit of a gourmet...
  21. My first two months were awful. Still had the stomach pains, diarrhea, burning heartburn, burning throat, nausea....then, it started to lighten up. Now, I have more time when I am not in discomfort than the times when I still feel yucky. Healing takes time. Digesting meat fat (and beans) is difficult. I had a hard time with beans and raw veggies...
  22. NOT A SILLY THING AT ALL, Brigit! :D You are healing and that IS cause for celebration. You are making remarkable progress in a short time. Many of us have a long way to go and hearing your story lifts us all up! Hooray for you, hon!!
  23. Sounds awesome!! Good for you! I would think a bit of fennel would be de-lish!!!
  24. THANKS A BUNCH, you sweetheart!! I LOOOVE focaccia bread and I'll get hubby right on it---he's our baker.
