  1. So, I'm sitting here in Scotland and thinking about now having almost daily contact with people from all over the globe. Although members are predominantly from USA, there's also people from all parts of UK, Canada, New Zealand, Australia, India, Italy etc. I thought it it be interesting if we could find something which in a couple of minutes gave a taste...

  10. Your Letter - Joan Armatrading
  11. I was really shocked by this thread. I've had a completely different experience. I live in Scotland and when my adult daughter was diagnosed she was advised that it would be a good idea if I was tested. Foolishly I didn't at the time as I didn't think that I had it. I know, I know - I could kick myself now. Anyway, eventually got tested and experienced absolutely...
  12. The Letter ThatJohnny Walker Read - Asleep At The Wheel
  13. I had debillitating fatigue with joint ache three years ago - prior to coeliac diagnosis. I eventually went to G.P. when it got to the point I just wasn't functioning. My ferritin (iron) levels were done to four! I started to feel the same way last November but decided, foolishly, to wait until after Christmas holidays in case I just needed to rest. You...
  14. Glad your first cocktail hour went well. Great idea to rename it and take control . Hope it continues to go well. Thinking about you and your family.
  15. I go regularly to both a massage therapist and a chiropractor. They've both really helped with the aches and pains in my neck, shoulder and lower back. The massage is also a wonderful relaxant.
  16. Baker Street - Gerry Rafferty
  17. Just try and take care of yourself as much as you can. Some of the things I used were bubble baths, reading and going for massages and reflexology. I found that I was slipping into a down and these helped me. I also did a daily countdown and kept thinking 'that's one less day of gluten to go'.
  18. I know how you feel. I went back on gluten for 7 weeks before endoscope and biopsy on 26th October. My worst coeliac sympton is fatigue and that hit once I was back on gluten. Although I also had bowel and stomach issues, for me the fatigue was the worst. I have to say that I only managed to last it out as I wasn't working at the time. However, the seven...

  22. That's good news! The last two weeks I'm also feeling better than I can ever remember. It's only with this improvement that I've realised that what I previously called 'good days' were just 'not as bad days'! Here's to life starting at 54
  23. Rabbit, Rabbit - Chas and Dave
  24. Blue Eyes Cryin' In The Rain - Willie Nelson Am I being predictable again, Mushroom
