  2. I tend to stick to the Glutafin products on my prescriptions (prescriptions in Scotland are limited to Juvela and Glutafin, I assume same for all UK). The Glutafin products came in both Gluten Free and Gluten Free/Wheat Free versions. The Gluten Free ones contain gluten free wheat starch. Given your reaction, I would stick to gluten and wheat free versions...
  3. I'm not so happy today because there's a report in the British media today that 'old age' begins at 54. I'm - you guessed it- 54!!!

  5. I am Roman Catholic and all I, and other coeliac members, have to do is go to the priest before mass starts and let him know that we are there and wish to receive communion. He then consecrates that number of gluten free hosts and we go up first. I don't take wine as a piece of the 'regular' host is placed in it and people go for wine immediately after receiving...

  16. I glutened myself on Thursday night with spices when I was making a curry. Just starting to feel better today. I'm really annoyed as I thought I had it all down to a fine art. Oh well, won't make that mistake again.
  17. I'm 54 and have had hot flushes, night sweats, water retention for about 10 years. I tried various remedies (black cahoosh, red clover, menopace, flash fighters etc) but didn't have any success. My hot flushes were really bad - my whole body went bright pink and even my scalp sweated. I could take 6 in an hour. I've been wearing a ladycare magnet 24/7 for...
