  1. Just went to your blog - good stuff. Thanks!
  2. How about sponges and towels. I tossed the old sponges, but can gluten be washed out of towels or should I replace them all?
  3. I hear you about lists. I had lists all over the place and even a master list for my lists. My wife gave me a notepad one Christmas with a drawing of Santa on it and the quote on it was: "I made a list, checked it twice and forgot it!"
  4. I was quite ADD before going gluten free. I was forgetful, disorganized, would lose things, had bad social anxiety because of things like concentrating so hard to remember something I wanted to say that I had no idea what the other person was saying during a conversation. When I get glutened I revert to that, but it is a bit worse and I absolutely hate...
  5. When I get glutened my short-term memory is terrible. Very ADD-like. I can look at a phone number, turn away and not remember any part of it. I think of something I need downstairs and when I get down the stairs I have no idea why I'm there. This is almost completely eliminated when off gluten.
  6. D within 30 minutes Gut rumbles and more D throughout the day Abdominal bloating Urine is almost fluorescent from malabsorption of vitamins Much more hungry Sadness and anger Depression Avoid people altogether - social anxiety Super tired and lack of strength No motivation to do anything at all Inability to concentrate Dry hands and nose - flaky...
  7. I recently dealt with CC and while driving was paranoid that I would die in an auto accident. I was scared of every car on the road.
  8. I developed a fear, almost a paranoia, of heights about 3 years ago. I was at a park looking over a cliff at rock climbers and got such vertigo that I almost fell down. That was very strange because I used to rock climb, climb trees and skydive. The problem got worse over the next few years and I didn't even want to go up in a building. After going...
  9. I've only been off gluten for 90 days, but getting accidentally glutened now makes me feel much worse than it did when I ate it regularly. So for me, it seems that I am more sensitie now.
  10. When I have been glutened I think caffeine combined with gluten cause my heart to absolutely race. It is kind of scary. Being back off gluten for at least 3 days I don't even want coffee. Before going gluten free I would drink 5 cups a day just to be able to function.
  11. My dad is a doctor and completely missed it. I talked with a girl right out of nursing school recently and she was shocked about everything she learned from me about gluten intolerance. I think most of the medical field still is fairly clueless and that is an absolute shame. In my 40s I started seeing therapists and psychiatrists for ADD and depression...
  12. Very cool little benefit. I've been gluten free just since early May and wonder what other benefits I will start seeing over the next year or so.
  13. I got glutened this morning and paid the price in the bathroom, but started feeling better more quickly than usual. Then I had canned soup late in the day that contained carrageenan, which I knew nothing about. I was in the bathroom several times within 25 minutes just as if I had been glutened again. I have had the same soup when feeling non-glutened...
  14. OK, this seems strange. I'm a 53 year old man who has used Grecian Formula for around 5 years. The strange thing is that I have not used it in a few weeks and my hair seems to be trending back to a more brown shade anyway. Anyone experience hair color restoration after going gluten free?
  15. How about an evacuation route?
  16. I seem to be pretty lucky in that after going gluten free 11 weeks ago I don't seem to be sensitive to other foods, or at least not yet.
  17. I had that same look and it seemed to have been brought on by a certain paint that was used in my office. I had to get a steroid pack to get rid of it.
  18. A few years ago my 17 year old daughter started reacting to sun exposure. She got a rash on her arms and legs. Nothing seemed to get rid of it but time out of the sun. She also has fainting spells, hypoglycemia, gets nauseous often, gets migraines and various other things. Could this be a gluten problem? I am a recently diagnosed Celiac at age 53 so...
  19. Good call on the cutting board. It was one I used to slice home-made bread months ago. Must have contaminated some of the meat. It is amazing that gluten could be on something I have washed and washed and not used in months, but that must be it.
  20. Glad you're feeling better. I noticed significant health benefits within 48 hours of going gluten free. As far as restaurants and family dinners go, I will go for the social activity, but will eat prior. Many people will not understand gluten intolerance so I have read in the forum to tell people I have a severe wheat allergy. People get that and...
  21. That is a question I would like to see answered as well. There doesn't seem to be any Celiac in my parents that I know of.
  22. My dad is a physician and recommended Caltrate or the Walmart generic equivilent.
  23. I just pulled some brisket out of the freezer that I cooked last week. Ate some with the same BBQ sauce I had last week. Ate nothing else, used clean utensils, but had significant glutening symptoms within 30 minutes. Ate the same stuff the same way 3 times a week ago and was fine. Any ideas as to what might have happened?
  24. I have 5 Bard's in the fridge that I won't drink. 30 minutes after having one last night I got sick. Today the brain fog is back. I guess sorghum isn't for me.
  25. I bought some Bard's yesterday and 30 minutes after drinking one I was in the bathroom.
