  1. i wouldn't do it. I just wouldn't.
  2. oh wow, that'll work Thanks.
  3. Is there anyway to cut down on the butter amount you have to put in them?
  4. Or... might have none at all and not believe what your GP said.
  5. and if he wants you to have a biopsy, it might turn up negative due to being off of it for a month (went threw the same thing)
  6. were you full on gluten for at least 3 months before this test? If not it could give inaccurate results. Not weird at all.
  7. not all celiacs have the genes for it (i'm thinking 2-3%?). It helps paint a picture as it were.
  8. no such thing as a stupid question. Anyway, gluten intolerences are just that: body does not like gluten and will lash out with gut problems. celiac is similar but much more devistating. Where the intolerences don't harm the gut, celiac will (most notably the intestans). Celiac is also an autoimmune disorder as opposed to being a simple intolerence...
  9. Honestly, i'd rather have a steak then eat processed foods most of the time. It really isn't that much more expensive if you stick with whole foods.
  10. yep. Out of curiosity i looked on the back of a container that my family has of them. It had a "warning" lable that had the usual nuts, peanuts, and to my surprise wheat.
  11. Thank you I needed something to keep me busy and i didn't wanna take a medical leave from school sooooooo
  12. nuts, more often than not, are processed on shared lines with wheat and such.
  13. casin is in all dairy products (correct me if i am wrong)
  14. either get your own and exchange it out or make your own candy (they might like this option more)
  15. i don't even bother making stuff on the counter. I've pretty much gone to making stuff on plates and such because a certain family of mine does not know how to clean up their messes
  16. you need to keep track of WHAT you eat so you can get an idea of what it might be. Also, there is no reason to doubt a new intolerence coming on.
  17. Went to my local walmart today and saw that they had rudi's bread. All is well and good and i checked the back out of habit and saw "organic wheat gluten". I take it they have two lines or something?
  18. Thank you for the links, i'll show them that. I have no allergy to nuts and such. Just the texture issue. I've been on and off theraphy for years, it really hasn't worked for me :/ and thank you again.
  19. mmm it might be your allergic (midly) to a medication. The ichyness sounds like what gaviscon did to me (ichy, no bumps no nothin). It went away after a few days. The bone pain however sounds like you hit a nerve or something that lays right in that area. That is if you bump it just right. My elbows have been known to do that as well :/
  20. i had oatmeal, wasn't up for cooking.
  21. I tried talking with my mom about it. It didn't go over very well. She keeps saying i need to eat better (i really am trying but a lot of foods irritate my throat, she does not understand this), that i'm somehow hurting myself by not taking a vitamin (to my defence it is a vitamin for 50+ year olds... no... i'm not taking that), and that its somehow my fault...
  22. my only guess is that the antibodies produced during the digestion of the gluten lash out at everything they come in contact with.
  23. i wonder if you have other intolerences outside of gluten. you said you were lactose free but what about soy? It can be a common problem among celiacs.
  24. Thank you so much, you have no idea what it means to me. I've been living off of the rest of my student loans for this semseter. Currently i'm not even on campus (i've been doing online courses because i've been really sick), so i'm at home. When i visited campus on the 24th just getting down their nearly killed me (had to use my inhailer twice). My...
  25. you would have to do 3 months of eating gluten for the tests to be accurate.
