  1. Why is it everything here lately seems to be against me? First off, my family. At first they were all aboard, looking researching, etc. But once they learned of the possibility that it might not be Celiacs, their attitude did a 180. Now its "well the doctor said" (the doctor said NOTHING, he has no idea what is going on (or so he says)), and "you just...
  2. better than nothing a day.
  3. I don't think that is an allergy. Allergy normally means a histiminal responce (ie: hives, swelling). Sounds like you have intolerences. From what i've read thats fairly normal
  4. I get C so easily. My fix is eating about 8 or so prunes... that seems to help.
  5. could be something they put in the icecream as well.
  6. increase calcium as well.
  7. I tried cheddar cheese today after being off it for so long (4 weeks?), and i didn't have a problem with it
  8. Oh wow, that sucks Also, the cheese and yogert thing: If you can eat those two but not milk you most likely have a problem with lactose.
  9. I use a vitamixer, grinds rice in 5 mins
  10. Mine was always in the afternoon or evening (though sometimes at night). Delayed reaction perhaps?
  11. reflux will do it easily. Honey helps sooth throats btw, try that to help it
  12. celiac IS considered a disability by the ADA. Go to the disability office of said school and talk to them first, if you have a problem (once enrolled), go to them. That is what they are there for, to assist those with diabilities. Would you not have to have a 504 plan for a person with food allergies? Would you not have to report that as well "just in...
  13. Do so please. That was one of my symptoms (eatting fatty foods and throwing them back up, pain in side). Insist on a HIDA scan (basically you lay there for 1.5 hours whilst they scan your gallbladder).
  14. Pickles O.o thats interesting...
  15. Not really, i find that it gives me C really bad :<
  16. All the bbq sauce we have in the house has tomatos in it and there's a snow balls chance in hell that i'll be able to go to the store today. Sooo ideas? I was thinking of doing a honey/cinnimon mix like i do for baked ham, but other ideas are welcome.
  17. Hard cheeses have no lactose in them, neither does yogert (if i remember correctly). I know what its like Try being in a house where their like "you just need to start trying it again". Umm.. no thank you.
  18. Just a tidbit of info, your body changes every 7 years (in terms of allergies, not sure about intolerences), because of cells dying off and replacing and such. What you might not have been allergic to before, you could become allergic too. The opposite goes as well.
  19. Just had mine out ~2 weeks ago. Prior tests showed nothing, HIDA scan showed it was working at 5%, enough for my GI doctor to order it to come out. Its nice not having side pain anymore. When they took it out, they said it looked sick and had abrasions (bad memory is bad). It was hard for the first day or so afterwards (damn pain meds and vomiting),...
  20. Gloves maybe? Teaching the children good handwashing methods? Thats all i can think of.
  21. prunes, the sunkissed ones. Those things can pass off as candy easily Also, sugar crystles (you can look up online how to make them). You can even add food coloring to give them the color you want.
  22. Apples are my weakness with peanutbutter... as is iceberg lettice Still haven't gotten the rice cakes tho, but mom did find rice chex on sale for a good deal so she staked up for me
  23. No... There is a very high risk of CC'ing with that as well.
