  1. Find some vitamins to take, make yourself a schedule (ie: get up at this time, shower at this time, etc), seek a doctor to see if maybe they can do something about this lack of energy you have, go to bed at a decent time (even if it means staying up all day, etc. You'll be fine
  2. i lost a bunch (20lbs) the month before my DX, several months later i'm starting to push the 40lb mark. Its a good thing i guess.
  3. lol i'd do it with (because i've frozen with many many times). It turns out to be similar to a frozen cake (this is assuming that the cupcakes are also cooled before application of the icing ).
  4. could be something in that cofee that you are reacting too :< I know if i get into gluten, part of both of my hands go numb.
  5. i cheated since it was so hot and had toast with peanutbutter and honey on it. Not that healthy, but i really haven't eaten today so -shrug-
  6. i get my sasuage from a local butcher who knows her stuff but it isn't links, just the loose stuff you can use for pattys.
  7. It couldn't hurt to get him retested (with his family history, i would), after all its just a little blood
  8. no idea. Might just be a rice and veggies night.
  9. 1. errr not that i'm aware of. You could try the diet and see how it goes. 2. No, it would not. 3. Persue it definently. You might have caught it "early"
  10. yes! I've had issues all my life. When i was eight calcium would not lay right on my heel on my left food. It ended up being all jagged and such and i couldn't walk on it for a few months. When i was 12 my D issues started and slowly got worse and worse until i was 20 where it became a daily thing (doctors wrote this off as "stress") Around...
  11. oh god... can we add food allergies to that as well? I'd give anything to eat: maple glazed doughnuts (the good kind!) Beer battered onion rings Pizza with all the fixings (i can't even replicate this due to allergy towards tomatos <.<) a good pasta drowned in alfredo sauce with shrimp and crab and lobster bits Any japanese...
  12. could you do a gluten free, vegan pizza? That might work, most kids love pizza.
  13. you don't have to have a wok to stirfry things. A skillet does just the same. Just take some sort of meat, veggie, sauce (there is a gluten free soy sauce somewhere but i don't know the brand), and mix them up together. You could also do it with rice noodles or serve it with some rice. -shrug- I'm one that loves stir frys and asian foods.
  14. Sueing is over the top imo. Accidents can happen, and also there is a disclaimer at the bottom of most resturant's menus (that i noticed before i went gluten free) that stated that they couldn't be held responcable for allergens or something to that extent. I will say that i will only go out to my local steak house, when it first opens for the day. The...
  15. ugh, she relented once i told her of the 3 month thing. I suppose she's just optimistic that i may not have it. i don't see why i have to prove it when i couldn't even handle benifiber
  16. What if i did the blood test without eating it? Would that be any proof?
  17. thanks for the encouragement nn; My mother wants me to have the bloodwork redone again after my surgury on wednesday. I told her fine, but i have to go back on gluten for a while to do it Its just she won't drop it, and honestly if me going back on it for 3 or so weeks (from what i read, thats normal for blood tests?), then i'll do it (and feel...
  18. i just get really bad indigestion :< not fun.
  19. i use walmart brand acidominifin (sp fail) and moltren (i don't like taking this one though).
  20. kept it simple: Boiled chicken rice and a lettice salad wasn't feeling too good.
  21. I've had both the bloodwork and genetic testing done for celiac (and they both were positive), but my endo was negative (mind you the GI doc did it 4(!!!) or so weeks after i went gluten free). He refuses to say whether or not i have it or not. I asked my new GP what she thought, and she said because of my test results and because she doesn't know much about...
  22. -raises hand- Yep yep. I've had ultrasounds and bloodtests done on mine. It showed NOTHING. Go in to have a HIDA scan (my new doctor had a hunch due to my pain and nonstop indigestion), and lo and behold i find out my gallbladder is only working at 5% of what it should be (low normal is 30%). I meet tommorow with the surgon who's gonna take the blasted...
  23. Yep, yep, and yep. I get panic attacks :< Not fun at all when it goes off like that.
  24. Contact the disabilities office, they are more often than not love to advocate this type of thing. (btw, i go to a smaller school with only maybe 5 celiacs there nn;)
