can you make it to where you eat gluten for 3 weeks straight? That might help your diagnosis. -
ARCHIVED Deactivate My Account Immediately
shadowicewolf replied to Karl Otto's topic in Board/Forum Technical Help
Perhaps Karl needs to learn that the world is not going to agree with him on everything and if he feels the need to rant to others to support his opinions it should be stated in a matter that is not offensive to the other posters. If he feels the need to leave, so be it. -

Apperently, the doctor found out that my throat was really inflaimed/damgaed (can't remember too much medication). He said my stomach and intestans looked fine, and did do the biopsys. Will hear back on those on friday. In the mean time, he seems to think that i just have IBS (its a symptome damnit not a diagnosis ) and bad acid reflux. Ugh, now we get...

shadowicewolf replied to jess-gf's topic in Gluten-Free Recipes & Cooking Tips
the chicken turned out really good. That rotissery was the best investment we ever made. The carrots were 'glazed' with butter and brown sugar i think Never the less it was still good. -

ARCHIVED Coping With A Gluten Eating Family
shadowicewolf replied to Elfbaby's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Sounds like your sister is a major brat (no offence intended) Regardless -sigh- those who don't have issues tend to think it is an inconvinence to themselves and, will always do what they wish regardless of how someone else feels. It sucks, i know. An example (not the same but similar): my grandmother made this big poofy dinner rolls this morning... -
ARCHIVED I Can't Take It Anymore
shadowicewolf replied to shadowicewolf's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Thank you everyone, it helps (even in a small way) to see that i'm not alone. For the life of me i can't remember the bread (redmill?), maybe. I'll try your suggestions thank you. -

Several things that i hoped would go away...

ARCHIVED Where Do I Go From Here
shadowicewolf replied to collgwg's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Those blood tests have a moderently high chance of being false, yet with you still being positive . I would consider getting another one while you are still eating gluten to see if it will be positive or not (don't blast me on this, but my thinking is that it didn't show up positive because you hadn't been eating it, and if you reintroduce it for a little... -

ARCHIVED Question About Glutened Response
shadowicewolf replied to mscrzy1's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Is she wide awake when she trows up or still out of it? Anyway, that isn't that delayed. Some people don't start getting symptoms till 3 days later It is very possible that it is related, however i would continue to get her tested just to verify it is before doing anything else. -

ARCHIVED How Careful Do I Need To Be?
shadowicewolf replied to rdunbar's topic in Dermatitis Herpetiformis

ARCHIVED My Youngest Son Is Not Coping At All Now
shadowicewolf replied to Karl Otto's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
Funny i'm autistic (high functioning but still) and yes it was hard to change my eating habbits, but it is not impossible. I was like that when i was younger, however, if something was presented enough and say served differently (cucumber without skin as opposed to skin as an example) i would eat it. Like i said, encourage him, perhaps even take him... -
ARCHIVED I'm New, And I Don't Know What To Do Now!
shadowicewolf replied to Elfbaby's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Oh trust me, i've been through the mill with the doctors Several stated that it was just a 'virus' and i needed to stop being such a whimp about it. One suggested it was all mental, another allergies. None wanted to do the blood test (which i had asked for, just to see how i was doing via vitamin levels and such). It wasn't until i got... -
ARCHIVED My Youngest Son Is Not Coping At All Now
shadowicewolf replied to Karl Otto's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
You can still make pizza gluten free and such as well as many of his other favorite foods. Have you tried rewarding him for eating new foods? It can be anything really like stickers for example. Have you tried making a big deal out of each and every new food he tries? Making them into fun shapes and such? If that doesn't work, i would also suggest going...
