  1. My dd and I do liquid Zyrtec and it works really well for us. I started taking it several years ago for anaphylatic reactions and now daily. The Zyrtec syrup comes pre-flavored in grape-banana. Yes, Zyrtec is a second-generation anti-histimine. I also take Xolair injections. Xolair is an anit-IgE antibody injection which attaches to the IgE anti-body and...
  2. terps19, I'm still learning as well....One of the websites I gave you in my previous posts was from "Whole Approach." Their a company and support group that deal with candida overgrowth. Tarilee is the health professional that moderates the forum. I've attached a couple of posts were she speaks about FOS. I guess it's like a lot of things...it depends on...
  3. The best probiotic I've found is from USA Labs. I always keep mine in the refrigerator. Also, for anyone that has children...they have a Jr. version that's in a powder base of rice starch. It's the only one that is gluten-free, df, & soy free that I've ever found. Often the childrens tablets have soy, sugar etc. in them. I use the probioplus DDS version...
  4. My dd is allergic to soy. We use Spectrum Organic Shortening. The shortening is gluten-free and soy free. I've found it is a great alternative to traditional shortening. I use is for cookies, pie crusts, icing etc.
  5. Oh, sorry you're sick. I'm not sure about the popscile brand. But the last time I got sick I used Edy's Whole Fruit Bars and they're soooo good. I called to confirm but that's been a couple of months ago. The last time I checked Philly Swirlls were also gluten-free. Hope you get some releif soon.

  7. You might want to give Hero Nutritionals a call and confirm with them. They have a vegetarian calcium with vitamin D supplement that might be worth checking into. My dd took it along with their sour gummies for a while. Here's the website... Open Original Shared Link
  8. I have two powdered egg replacers that I use. I tend to use the Ener-g Egg Replacer most often. These are great for people who can't have eggs because they contain no eggs at all. The egg replacer is a levening agent that aids in the rising of gluten-free breads. Ener-g Open Original Shared Link Orgran Open Original Shared Link
  9. I use Bob's Pancake mix alot because it doesn't have dairy in it. Do you do OK with corn? I haven't tried the Hormel Cand. Bacon but I have tried the Hormel pepperoni a couple of times. Last time I checked the pepperoni was on the gluten free list as well. A lot of people find they do fine with these meats but I've found that I'm reacting more to food...
  10. Thanks Tiffany, I've got some of the short grain, brown rice and it might be fun to make and compare! I found another brand of sushi rice today and I didn't see a warning on it. So I decided to go ahead and get it since it just listed rice. Kokuho Rose is the brand name. I also picked up all the other goodies I need for tonight. I get so excited over...
  11. Kroger carries Rice Select, Sushi Rice and I was wondering if anyone has tried it? I really wanted to get Lundberg Sushi Rice but I haven't been able to find it. The last time I looked on the container it had the "manufactured in a facility with wheat." I normally don't eat shared facility but I really want sushi. I thought about using Lundberg short...

  14. I haven't been able to try any of them yet but I called yesterday and ordered some New Grist. I'm waiting for it to arrive. They said it typically takes 3-7 days to get it but they're out right now. Clubs of America plans to have some by the middle of next week. They said they would ship ASAP.
  15. Thanks, I looked on their website but I didn't see it. I think it's a new product that they're producing. I just got my new "Living Without" magazine and they have an advertisement that says, it's gluten free and dairy free. If I find out something different I be sure to post it. btw...I think they're making tapioca granules and starch as well. I'm...
  16. I've contacted the company but dd really wants to try it and I'm waiting for a reply. Does anyone know if the Tapioca Perals are gluten free? The only ingredient listed is Organic Tapioca so I assume that it would be OK. However, I'm a little parinoid about taking chances!!
  17. Jen, I've taken Allegra & Clartin before, but for the last 3 years I've taken Zyrtec. My dd takes Zyrtec as well. We take the Zyrtec Syrup at night and it helps us not to get drowsy during the day. I also do immuni-therapy and take monthly Xolair injetcions. When my allergies are at the worst I use Nascort AQ also. I know what you mean.....

  19. I haven't ordered from them but you might give them a call to see if you can order or if they can give you a name of a vendor, online or in your area. They do some advertising in allergy/celiac disease magazines as well. Before going gluten-free my local Japanese Rest. started giving these with sushi and take out. I'll try to keep looking and let you know...
  20. My dd and I love them as well. I recently discovered that they come in larger bottles. I had been buying them at Wal-mart but at Walgreen's I found the 120 count! She used to take Hero Nutritionals Yummi Bears but they're sour. She liked them of awhile and then got to where she wouldn't take them. They also say gluten-free on the bottle. That makes life so...
  21. Here's a link for Panda Brand Low Sodium, Gluten Free Soy Sauce that comes in packs. They also have a printable rest. card as well. This was ashame her Dr. said...
  25. As many of you know I'm a BIG Bare Escentual fan!! But my friend gave me the list of Beauti Control products that contain gluten. The list defines what they consider to be gluten.
