  1. Thanks psawyer for the info. I don't drink cola drinks but it's always good to add info to everything I'm learning Cougie, we don't have trader joes here. We are lucky to have lots of places that stock fresh whole foods though, and lots of local markets.
  2. You could very well have a problem with gluten. Would you consider staying on gluten for the time being and get tested for celiac? I only say this because although you don't need a diagnosis to be gluten free, if you do have celiac you should be tested for other auto immune problems which can occur. Wishing you much strength in your journey xxx
  3. I hope you get some answers soon. But yes, stay on gluten until you're tested, or you may get a false negative result. If they took a lot of blood for testing, maybe they could still request a celiac panel be done? It's worth checking out. Good luck and keep us posted!
  4. Hello and welcome It's rather ironic for a pastry chef to be celiac, but how fabulous that you'll be experimenting with gluten free baking! You sound like you have such a positive attitude towards being celiac, which will help in your journey tremendously! I second getting your teens tested. With celiac you just never know.
  5. Hi all I was wondering whether anyone knows if Don boneless leg ham from the deli in Coles is gluten free? Thanks!
  6. Yep, I'm in Australia :) Our times are pretty much opposite I think. When it's day here it's night there and vice versa. I've noticed some people on the forum in the US come on just as I'm going to bed. And sometimes when I get up in the morning you lot are going to bed. When you posted your last message it was about 8:30 am here.

    So you're in California? That'...

  7. Its a Nerological thing..sorry about the misspelling...It's complicated...some days no problem ..other days...can't spell anything right!!! Sometimes I'll correct my spelling several times and STILL type the SAME mistake..over and over!!! very fustrating!!!

  8. Really??? we'll have to ask a moderator about that...if we can?!!! LOL I've used Message before..its more privete, and has more space to talk....Whats the time diference in Alstallia..you're in Alsrallia right..I get confused (dam brain fog..celiacs really bad to day..crazy pains every where!!)

  9. I'm glad you have answers for your ongoing medical problems. Gluten free straight away for you, but your kids will need to stay on gluten until they're finished with their testing. I think it's important to get them tested, so you know for sure whether they're celiac. I would imagine a positive diagnosis would make it easier to explain to their school, etc...
  10. Hello! Thanks for adding me as a friend :) I'm not sure why it says I'm unable to participate...here I am, lol! It says you're unable to participate too, but you're definitely participating!!!

  11. That's terrible to bribe children with a party!!! An end of year celebration should be for everyone to attend, it shouldn't have conditions put on it like grades (this puts pressure on kids who find learning difficult) or SALES! That is seriously messed up!
  12. ...Get the hang of this!!! LOL

    Darn thing cut me off!!!

Thankyou... your my first "OFFICIAL FRIEND" !!!

  13. I'm a little confused, on the top right hand side of the screen I got a little folder saying "TWINKLE started a persoal messege"...but on the left side of my screen the messenger box said you are unable to partisipate, (which is OK). I 'm not sure which it is??? I'm not able to retreive any thing at the moment...so forgive me if your trying to answer.I'm still trying to ...

  16. Well my stomach has settled down to only mild cramping, but I feel wiped out! My joints are still niggling enough to make me uncomfortable as well. But the worst thing is an increase in my anxiety. I have suffered very badly with anxiety for years, and I noticed it settling down (slightly) in the last couple of days. But now I feel anxious and twitchy over...
  17. Every one of my four children loved the nursery rhyme 'twinkle, twinkle little star'. I have fond memories of singing it to them often. I still do to my two youngest. So my username is for them, my four beautiful twinkling stars, who light up my heart and my life
  18. Yes, definitely get a rice cooker and a slow cooker/crockpot!! You can make soup, stews, casseroles, curries, roast dinners (meat, veg and all!), bolognaise sauce, desserts and more!! Potato/sweet potato in the microwave, pudding in the microwave, rice porridge in the microwave. There's lots you can do Chin up, being gluten free isn't all bad.
  19. I'm just starting a gluten free diet and so far I will use my stainless steel pots for both, but I SCRUB them out afterwards - they've never looked so shiny! My Teflon cookware I won't use for my food though. I'll have to buy others for me. I haven't bought new utensils yet, but I'm not using the wooden spoons and things in my food. My kitchen is where...
  20. Everyone here has been advising me to stick to a simple whole foods diet that consists of rice, vegetables, fruit and meat mostly. Try to avoid processed foods. I felt very unwell for the first few days and didn't want complicated foods at all. Hope it has you feeling better soon!
  21. What an exciting thread to read! I'm going to try this! I need to find all the different flours, but I'm making it this weekend! Thankyou
  22. I was looking for something sweet to eat so am going to make some kettle corn for the little ones and myself. Thankyou!!
  23. That's not nice at all. Hang in there, you sound like you're almost done with testing and can be gluten free very soon.
  24. Thanks mushroom I had forgotten I posted in this thread! I just figured out I can check the threads I posted in in my profile. It is getting easier
  25. This is my story My link I hope that worked! If it didn't, it's on about the third page of the pre diagnosis section. I'm gluten free at the moment, I'm not sure what will happen in the future at the moment, I need to wait until I see my doctor next
