  1. What one was the most important? You had to tell him? I thought doctors were supposed to tell US what is the most important/concerning.
  2. Haven't eaten it since I've went gluten-free. Though I did buy some which was certified completely gluten-free, so when I cook it I guess I'll find out I'm not a big rice person anyhow.
  3. Just because they're gluten free doesn't mean they're not cross-contaminated Oh well, more protein.
  4. Sometimes I feel bad for doctors. I genuinely believe they must be busy with all those patients. But would it kill them to at least PRETEND to be concerned? When you go in to see the new doctor, go in happy and tell him your symptoms. If the reaction you get is of no help, you could calmly but assertively say "Listen, please. I'm sick. I've had _...
  5. I had chicken breast and spuds with this seasoning I found randomly shopping. And chocolate covered almonds Oh, and Gluten Free Pantry chocolate-chip cookies
  6. Now try toasting it and tell us how it tastes. Have you tried it with jam or butter? Maybe you've invented some sort of new nuclear weapen disguised as bread??
  7. YES! I know what you mean. I'm allergic to cats, but since going gluten-free, I'm able to be around cats for around 1 or 2 hours before I even have to wipe my eye.
  8. Very good! Looks like I'll have to buy two different size trousers then -- one for bloat and one for normal.
  9. I've been gluten-free for just over a week now, and I find that my stomach is still bloated. I never expected it to go away within a week, but in your experience (those who have had it as a symptom), how long did it take for it to go away after you went gluten-free?
  10. I have one. Doctor: "It's probably not coeliacs but it could be coeliacs, don't worry about it"
  11. Yes! I second this! My doctor wouldn't even suggest coeliacs, but since I've been gluten-free....I have been getting better! Funny thing, doctors. They say they're here to make us better yet try to hide what's wrong with us.
  12. Hahahee!
  13. I hope no one is tired of my questions I contacts President's Choice about their Chocolate-covered Peanuts, asking whether they were gluten-free or not. Well, I STILL haven't gotten a response so now I'll ask you. Are their Chocolate Covered Peanuts gluten free? Here's the ingredient list: Milk chocolate (sugar, milk ingredients, cocoa butter...
  14. I think so! She called me today because I had more bloodwork done. Out of an act of kindness, at least she told me my hemaglobin is gone back to normal and so is my iron. I haven't been gluten-free for very long, but I was when I had these tests, so that might have something to do with it. This doctor is only filling in for my doctor who...
  15. Bob's Red Mill is available, I'll check it out. Thanks for your replies I'm also going to write the manufacturers to double-check.
  16. I nearly fell off my chair when I seen the title of this thread, but I'm good now, having read the replies I'm not a coffee person myself, but it's a nice treat, however the reason I think coffee would have gluten is because it could probably in the glue that holds the instant packets together, or the K-Cup kind, but I doubt it
  17. For my breakfast, there's nothing I love more than porridge, however due to CC, I can't just go out an buy Scot's or anything. In the gluten-free section of our grocery store, I found a box of porridge which had a label "WHEAT FREE" sprawled accross it. But, does wheat free necessarily mean gluten-free? Could they still be cc'd with barley or rye?
  18. I think I'd have better luck trying to drown a fish My Doctor wouldn't let me see them! Because of our free healthcare under the MCP/NHS, Private practitioners are few and far between. My Doctor (I feel) is only in it for the money, but she told me that apparently she's "told me everything she can" She also said my hemaglobin will fix...
  19. My iron was HIGH on the last test....hemaglobin (or whatever) was low. Which doesn't make sense, I was re-tested for that only today, because she said the results were probably wrong. But yet I'm still anaemic. Anyways I'm not too concerned, because I've been going gradually gluten free the past few todays and today completely. One symptom has stopped...
  20. Yes I did. I was told I'm anaemic....ANOTHER symptom of coeliac disease the doctor ignored.
  21. Hello everyone,so of you know how I've been having problems getting a proper diagnosis. Today I finally got my blood results back, and they were negative for coeliac disease. She will not send me for a biopsy, but she said I was gluten intolerant and sensitive. However, I know I have more symptoms than this, and I have diagnosed myself, I suppose you...
  22. This might just be mad...but maybe try to add a slight bit of honey?
  23. Thank you so much!!! I really hope this is it.
  24. Tomorrow, once AGAIN....I'm going to my Doctor to get the "Final" answer as to whether I have coeliacs or not. I think (I kind of know) I have it. I can determine that by myself, but tomorrow I get the results to my tests.....again. This time, maybe they'll actually have them, unlike the last time I went
  25. I know.......some people even manage to get gluten in cabbage. I don't know why, I don't want to know how
