  1. Yeee! You'll find of us everywhere b'y! Yes the labelling will be rather clear I read, which is good good good. The UK has a law similar to this, and we're going in those footsteps, which is needed.
  2. What about a Shoppers? One of those in the mall? Some have pre-packaged fruit cup thingy's, and all that which are gluten free. However, there is also the option of SOME and not all, but SOME Chinese food take-aways have pure rice noodles, or sauteed vegetables which are gluten-free. New York Fries does have gluten-free chips, but the seasoning counter...
  3. Hi! You are SO fortunate to have had an endoscopy to find this out. Welcome on the board, and watch out for triticale too. It's a cross of wheat and something else that I can't remember right now, but it's 100000% pure sickening gluten.
  4. Honey'd Chex and an apple. *sigh* Chex. It's becoming sickly.
  5. Tonight I'm having Shepherd's Pie! Naturally gluten-free.
  6. Pear WAS right. It was just part of the healing phase I think. I'm just fine with it now! Unbelievable. I hope I;m nto just turning into a hypochondriac
  7. I used to think epsom salts were a posh fancy baking ingredient, and I often wondered why they were in the personal care section of shops. Above poster, you're spot-on.
  8. Enabler. Thank you much! I needed some mroe recipes. I find a lot of my old recipes do not work converted to gluten-free, simply because wheat is just what MADE the recipe! But, I'm working on it though. I'll win in the end, I will.
  9. Newfoundland? It's currently Rain, Drizzle, Fog, and rain, with a chance of flurries Actually on August 4th, items in Canada that are gluten-free will indeed be labelled, or rather, things which contain "gluten" will be labelled as part of the new Allergen & Gluten Labelling Law.
  10. STOP! I just had cake. Now I'm craving muffins. There's no maintaining weight with this forum But you must give us the recipe for those banana nut chocolate muffins. Puhhhhllleeeaaazzze?
  11. So today my wonderful Mother bought me a loaf of Kinnikinnick Candadi Yeast-Free Multigrain Rice Bread (name of the year, that is). I've noticed on the nutritional information of the packaging that is says that one slice is 142 kcals. However, on the website, the Nutritional information for the very same bread, lists one slice as 90 kcals. What one is...
  12. Chocolate! I don't know why, I really don't know why. Whenever I'm glutened I crave milk chocolate. That only makes my stomach worse, but my symptoms are more in my head (headache, brain fog) and sometimes hive-type-things. I only really get nauseous when I've been HEAVILY (like a bullet-shot) glutened. Then all I can handle is water, no food. Maybe almond...
  13. Today was a gluten-free Honeybar, and an apple. Filling. Quick and easy.
  14. Frosted Flakes are sickly anyways, I don't miss them at all But there's no replacement for Corn Flakes. Even the Nature's Path Honey'd Corn Flake imitators is no match to the real thing!
  15. A waffle, chocolate, and two apples. Come on....it's Sunday.
  16. Hello! You'll learn a lot, even some things you didn't want to know....but then later on you realise how happy you are you've learnt it!

    ARCHIVED Pop Chips

They're alright for me, but Salt and Vinegar are sickly anyways. Maybe there was some CC? They might not be overly concerned about it, so I would give them a call. You weren't around flour? I find when shopping in the grocery store, walking in the baking aisle where the flours are can be sickening.

    ARCHIVED Doctors

Has anyone ever seen Doc Martin before? That's the kind of town I live in. One doctors office, and everyone knows everybody, so there's not much of any chance of me finding a new doctor. But yes, I am staying gluten-free. Thinking of wheat and barley makes me sick, and as much as I cave a rye biscuit I stay away. It's POISON. Thank you for your support...
  19. It must be just me, but I can't have a teaspoon and I'm full for the week I never knew that though, about easing into oats! Thank you. Fats and proteins are what you need to watch though - healthy ones will control your appetite.

    ARCHIVED Doctors

Many of you know of my troubles with a doctor who was filling in for my regular GP, that told me I was bulemic, anorexic, etc. Well I went to see my GP who was back from a well-deserved (IMO) holiday to Australia. She said that I looked better, and I told how well I felt since going gluten-free. I told her about how I have been regularly "going", and...
  21. It is. See here Open Original Shared Link
  22. Ah, I see You can't get Vegemite here, so I dunna haveta worry. I do buy the one with yellow lid, pot-belly. But I love it, though it does take a while to finish off a jar, because I like it subtly, not thickly, though if I did spread it thickly I wouldn't complain
  23. I don't drink alcohol. I've had wine, beer, whisky/whiskey......never again. I never got drunk, I only had sips. It makes me instantly sick, so it's safe to say I'm alcohol-intolerant. But do be careful! Mouthwash has a different alcohol in it which can also make you (it does me) sick. You may want to see a doctor, but it doesn't seem to be causing you any...
  24. Very well. I haven't changed my eating plan ever since going gluten-free (other than using gluten-free food) but I also read that I'm probably eating more without noticing, because that's part of the healing stages. I will take the advice though and try to eat much less starch!
  25. I had leftover steak, thoroughly heated and placed on Genius sandwich bread, sprinkled cheese over it. I also had an apple and a brownie I made from an (obviously) gluten-free mix: because I have a chocolate problem.
