  1. I live in Tarrytown and go to Mr. Nicks all the time. We love it! I don't even have to order anymore. As soon as I walk in they know exactly what I want. gluten-free White Pizza, half with broccoli. We also go to By The Way Bakery (BTW) pretty often. Amazing bakery and the owner is a sweetheart. We'll have to check out Slices.
  2. Thanks for letting me know! I never knew about this place. I'll definitely check it out... hopefully this weekend.
  3. I like the Kinnickinick waffles. Not a fan of the Van's either.
  4. I just tried the 7 Ancient Grain bread by Three Bakers (formerly: The Grainless Baker) and it's fantastic!!! Very delicious whole grain bread. Open Original Shared Link
  5. Maxwell's Kitchen makes a great brown gravy.
  6. I have made this cake countless times and it never fails to impress. Of all the desserts I have made, this is the one that gets requested over and over. If you don't own it already, this recipe alone is worth buying Annalise's book.
  7. Lunch (aka The Lobster Roll) in Amagansett now has a gluten free menu!!! It's a huge menu and they even have gluten-free bread on the menu! This is a Hamptons / Montauk institution and very exciting that they now offer a gluten free menu. Open Original Shared Link
  8. There are 6 rolls in a pack. I actually was so excited to see them I didn't even look at the price and I bought a bunch of other groceries. Sorry.
  9. I think that pretty much sums it up. Ha! These will certainly be a staple in my house. For those that live in Westchester County (NY) I found them at Decicco's in Ardsley.
  10. Tate's now has a version of their famous chocolate chip cookies and they are AMAZING!!!!!!! They are the absolute best chocolate chip cookies. They come in the same packaging as the regular cookies, but say Gluten Free on the top.
  11. None of these are actually in Hudson Valley. White Plains, Armonk and Ardsley are all in Westchester and not sure what county Albany is in. As someone mentioned Soul Dog is in Hudson Valley. Excellent! I'm not all that familiar with Hudson Valley. Check out the GFRAP site. Open Original Shared Link
  12. I think it depends what you get. Honestly, I don't love their cupcakes. I had them once and never got them again. I do have friends that love them but I wasn't a big fan. However I think the doughnuts are incredible and I could eat their blueberry crumb cake and chocolate chip banana bread all day, every day!
  13. Babycakes has AMAZING doughnuts, crumb cakes, chocolate chip banana bread, etc. As others have said, Bistango, Mozzarelli's and Risotteria are all AMAZING! Lumi is fantastic for special occasions. They're not exactly places we go as NY'ers but they do have at least one location each in the city that I know of so it's worth mentioning that Outback and...
  14. Yes the Soy Facial Cleanser is gluten free. You need to be careful with some of their "Sugar" products. Some of them have wheat. I know the lip balm does.
  15. I can eat any variety of apples with red skin, but green apples always bother my stomach. I thought this was the oddest thing until one day I was having a random conversation with someone who mentioned they are allergic to green apples and not other types of apples. Apparently it has to do with the type of trees they grow on. I never really researched it...
  16. You might want to also try the NYC Celiac Meetup Group. Open Original Shared Link
  17. As if the gluten free eating in Disney World could get any better... it did! Babycakes, the fantastic NYC (and LA) bakery that specializes in gluten free and vegan goodies now has a location in Downtown Disney. I could eat their donuts and blueberry crumb cake every day!! Check out their website for more info. Open Original Shared Link
  18. Oh wow, you really were right around the corner Patti. The Westchester is about 5 mins. away! Well it's a great mall to go holiday shopping. Even during holiday time it doesn't tend to get unbearably crowded so that's extra incentive to come back : )
  19. I hope you love it as much as I do! I'm doing my best to make my way through the whole menu. LOL! So far I've had wings, pulled pork quesadillas (didn't love these actually), onion rings, mac n' cheese, club sandwich w/ avocado and grilled cheese. Clearly I've made a few visits. Happy Thanksgiving!
  20. I too live in Westchester and if you don't mind, I thought I'd add a few recommendations to your list. Westchester: 97 Lake (West Harrison) - This is a new sports bar in West Harrison. The entire menu is gluten free. The only difference is the bread. The owner has celiac so you're assured that he knows what he's doing. This is quickly becoming a favorite...
  21. I've had this book for years and it is my absolute go to when I need an amazing baked good. I use the Authentic Foods Superfine Brown RIce Flour like she suggests. In fact that is the only type of rice flour I use since finding her book. I've made tons of recipes from her book - pie crust, coconut cake, gingerbread cookies, sugar cookies, etc. I always get...

    ARCHIVED 97 Lake

I just discovered 97 Lake in West Harrison, NY (Westchester County). It's FANTASTIC! I've been there twice in the last week. The entire menu is gluten free. The only difference between the regular menu and the gluten free menu is the bread items are served on and I believe the pizza. They have separate pizza ovens (the gluten pizza oven is on the bottom to...
  23. I think a lot depends on where you live. I'm in NY and we have a few. Babycakes is in the city and seems to be doing very well. Tully's recently opened in the city also but I don't know much about it. My friend owns Three Dogs Gluten Free Bakery in the suburbs of Westchester (Briarcliff to be exact) and she too is doing very well.
  24. My favorite is Le Veneziane. It's corn based rather than rice based. It's hard to find in stores still but you can order it here: Open Original Shared Link or on Amazon: http://www.(Company Name Removed - They Spammed This Forum and are Banned)/Veneziane-Italian-Gluten-Pasta-Rigate/dp/B0027XYI7O
  25. Ristotteria is a few blocks from the Christopher Street subway stop. It's delicious!!!
