  1. I see you're in Tarrytown. I lived in Briarcliff for a year. It's so beautiful up there. :)

  2. Great review!!!! I may be adding some more restaurants to my list The info about Port Orleans was particularly helpful because that is where we are staying as well (although I think we're on the French side, but from what I can tell they're connected). We're going with a huge group of people but I've basically already told people that this is all...
  3. I eat the Rice Crisps with Berries all the time. In fact I ate it last night. I've never gotten sick from it.
  4. I can't wait to see your reviews. I am going to WDD in August. On my list of places I want to go to are: Chef Mickey, Mama Melrose, Tony's Town Square, Kona Cafe, 50's Prime Time and Boma. I hope you have some info on those! I've already contacted Disney and found out the procedure I need to follow when making reservations. I can't wait!!!
  5. Not sure about Stop & Shop brand. I use Premio.
  6. I like the Authentic Foods Pancake Mix. And their blueberry muffin mix is incredible.
  7. Definitely Joans!
  8. I've been going to Stew Leonard's since I'm a little kid. When I was first diagnosed I emailed them to ask if they would ever consider doing any gluten free baked goods (because they have incredible baked goods). I got a very curt and rude email that basically in one sentence said, "no they would not." I was annoyed, but I do still shop there; but...
  9. I meant to post this on Sunday, but Happy Hanukah to all others who are celebrating.
  10. I buy the Maxwell's Kitchen gravy. It's excellent. I get it at Whole Foods. Open Original Shared Link
  11. I also had a horrible experience at a Uno Chicago Grill location. There were so many screw ups during this 1 meal; with the finale being the breadstick on my plate, I wouldn't even know where to begin. It was the worst restaurant experience I have ever had and I will never go back.
  12. I bought an incredible gluten free gravy mix for Thanksgiving yesterday. It is by Maxwell's Kitchen. It comes in 4 varieties (turkey, chicken, brown and pork). Whole Foods isn't listed as one of the stores to buy it, but that is where I purchased it. I think most Whole Foods carry it. Open Original Shared Link
  13. I love pineapple but find for whatever odd reason it just doesn't agree with me and gives me stomach pains as if I've been glutened. Same thing if I eat raw broccoli. Like others have said, I'd get rid of the old spices, but it could very well be that pineapple just doesn't agree with you.
  14. I don't live in Chicago, but I just came back yesterday from a long weekend there. Obviously someone who lives there can be a much bigger help but I can tell you that there are tons of restaurants in Chicago that are gluten friendly. I was there for a wedding so several of the meals I had there were in venues I did not choose, but one restaurant we went...
  15. Tater Tots are gluten free and are on the list. My brother just told me over the weekend that the Crispers are now marked as gluten-free on the bag (these were my favorite fries). I called the company just to make sure and they said they are infact gluten free. There were never any gluten ingredients in them, but I simply didn't eat them because they weren...
  16. I stopped eating Amy's products after having a reaction 2 times in a row. I know a lot of people were having problems with her products for awhile. I'm not willing to try a 3rd time.
  17. I use the one from Annalise Roberts cookbook, Gluten Free Baking Classics, but I think the Bette Hagman one is also a good one to use. I would reccomend using the Superfine Brown Rice Flour from Authentic Foods as your rice flour for the blends. It doesn't have the grittyness that many of the others do.
  18. There is a new gluten free bakery opening this Thursday in Briarcliff Manor, NY (Westchester) called Three Dogs Gluten-Free Bakery. There is no website yet, but here is the info: 510 North State Road Briarcliff Manor, NY 10510 914-762-2121 fax: 914-762-2202 email: threedogsgfbakery@gmail.com Hours: Tuesday 8-5 Wednesday 8-5 Thursday 8-7 Friday...
  19. Mine also came out cake like. I kept looking at the print out to make sure I had the oven temperature right because if I had only left them in for the 12 mins., they were barely cooked. They are still very moist with having baked them for 30 mins. and like I said they do taste great, but I just wasn't sure if I did something wrong. My only complaint is the...
  20. I made these last night and I'm not sure if I did something wrong. They taste great, but they got really huge and puffy, never really crisped or browned to much and I had to bake them for about 30 mins. instead of 12! We use our baking sheets for to many things so I don't like to put things directly on them. Could it have to do with the fact that I...
  21. I just looked at the can and unfortunately it does have dairy in it. Sorry. (So far, knock on wood, as far as food goes my only issue is gluten).
  22. I love their tomato soup. It's not generally in the regular soup isle, since it is a British import. I usually find it amongst the International foods. It tastes just like Campbell's. It's perfect for those days you want tomato soup and grilled cheese (I use the rye bread from the Grainless Baker). Mmmmmmm!
  23. LOL! Sorry. Here you go. Open Original Shared Link
  24. Since posting this a few years ago I have found out I now know that neither Houston's nor Cheesecake Factory's spinach dips are gluten free. However, I have found a recipe for a "Houston's" Spinach Dip, and whenever I make it people rave that it is the best spinach dip ever! I've actually had a friend lick the bowl. LOL!!! I haven't been to Cheesecake...
