  1. Oh I did see you!!! I think you actually handed me a bag. Ok you saw like a bazillion people, but I was wearing faded green cargo pants, a navy blue tank top and had sunglasses on top of my head. You guys put on an amazing event! Not only was it so great to try lots of products to see if I liked them before spending the money; I got to try products that...

    ARCHIVED Fiance

Nicole please think long and hard before throwing your entire relationship away because a bunch of people on a message board are telling you to. Like I said, DH was less than supportive all the years I was sick but the second I had a positive medical test of what was wrong with me, it was like a total 180. He just went to 3 supermarkets to find me the...

    ARCHIVED Fiance

I was sick for about 10 years before getting diagnosed, and my boyfriend at the time (then fiance, now DH) never flat out told me it was all in my head but he wasn't always so sympathetic when I would complain I didn't feel well and while he never uttered the words out loud, he definately made me feel a lot of the times like it was all in my head. He definately...
  5. I know you can definately order the products to be shipped from both vendors. I think they are both to small scale to end up in like a Whole Foods in the near future. But I would definately reccomend ordering. Whatever the shipping cost may be it is definately worth it!
  6. Interesting. Ok I take back my deoderant comment.
  7. I went to the Suffolk County Celiac Vendor Fair today and I found 2 amazing products. Both a gluten-free Bread (actually 2 different kinds) and gluten-free bagels that taste incredible. But one of the best parts is that they taste great without toasting or adding a ton of stuff to make them edible. The bread I tried is made by the Gluten Free Bread Basket...
  8. Well the hairspray I would switch because that you could definately ingest because of the spray, but if you're deoderant is roll on I wouldn't really worry about it. Maybe others will have a different opinion but I've never licked my deoderant.
  9. The vendor fair was INCREDIBLE!!!!!! Great job Deb, Amanda and all the other Suffolk County members that where there. I wanted to look for you guys but OMG was it packed! I got there around 12:00 and I couldn't believe how many people where there. I bought bread from The Gluten Free Bread Basket - delicious!!! I just had a roast beef sandwich I...
  10. That is awful. I'm so sorry this happened. You can only hope that maybe one day karma will have this snotty waitress in a similar situation. But I definately think you should let them know what happened. Her behavoir was not at all acceptable. Just think if that was your attitude to a parent if one of your kids at school fell down and broke their leg. Your...
  11. Definately the rainbow cookies from Earth Remedies! (yknow the ones you would find in bakeries that are bright yellow, pink and green and the top and sides are covered with chocolate). I also remember from another thread you mentioning you like the black & white cookies. I've never had theirs, but if they're anything like the rainbow ones you'll want...
  12. This sounds like a great idea, however I have a suggestion. I think people in the 15 - 25 age group, while no matter what your age we will all always share certain issues, I think that is a very broad age group and I think breaking that into 2 segments would be more beneficial. For instance I think those in a 15 - 21 age group would benefit from focusing...
  13. Nini's post the other day about the Classico sauces has me craving pasta with alfredo sauce. I had 1 of the Classico sauces before without a problem, and that seems to be the consensus so I'm not afraid of that brand. So please reccomend your favorite alfredo sauce (Oh and I should note, I want this for quick easy dinners when I get home late...
  14. I'll be there!!! I'm so excited!! I look like... well like my picture on here
  15. I found them at this place Mrs. Greens. They have several locations in Westchester, NY & Connecticut
  16. I had that happen with Terra Chips. It was the only thing I had eaten so I know it was from that. Now I'm terrified of them.
  17. The rep I spoke with said they will be available at Whole Foods.
  18. I know both myself and someone else posted about this product coming to market but just wanted to post this from their site. It's great to see they are really taking the steps to make sure there is no cross contamination. I called and products should start becoming available in the next couple of weeks. 19. I use Davis Baking Powder. Just the regular baking powder you can by anywhere.
  20. After seeing someone post on here about S'Better Farms having gluten-free corndogs I decided to give them a try. I bought them a couple weeks ago not sure if I had the courage to try them. Well tonight I was being lazy and didn't feel like making anything so I decided tonight was the night. I was truly suprised how good it was. It's a corndog so lets not...
  21. Another vote for Living Without. I called Gluten Free Living to find out about getting an issue to see if I like it enough to subscribe. The woman on the other end was very nice an pleasant and offered to mail me a free copy. I thought great! That was until it took about 2 months for me to get that free copy! Now under normal circumstances this would be...
  22. Christine you should order the Authentic Foods Brown Rice Flour. Annalise reccomends using this one and I did. I remember her saying that she tried like every rice flour out there and this one gave the best taste and results. I have to say I would agree.
  23. So I was just flipping throught the May issue of InStyle and one of the pages of Scene & Heard section, while talking about an event they mentioned the menu and how there was something for everyone including Emmy Rossum, who said she is allergic to gluten.
  24. Has anyone tried the gluten-free Pantry Skillet Meals; specifically the beef stroganoff? I was thinking of giving it a try but wanted to see if anyone had any postive or negative feedback on it before I spend the $. TIA.
  25. Ughhhhh I'm so sorry this happened to you. I actually had the same thing happen with a rotisserie chicken at Sam's Club a few months ago. I got home late from work but had to go there to grab something, was starving and grabbed the chicken. I read the ingredients and it looked ok, but then when I got home I took another look and hadn't even noticed the seasoning...
