ARCHIVED I Did It... I Made Bread!

Sorry for the confusion. The 2 tblsp. of salt should be 2 tblsp. of sugar. And the Potato Starch and Tapioca Flour are both cup size measurements. Sorry; I was sleepy when I wrote this. -
ARCHIVED Symptoms Worse When Pmsing
jkmunchkin replied to abbiekir's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
So interesting you say this. I don't tend to have to many problems with dairy but the other day I had a milkshake from McDonald's (which is gluten-free ofcourse) and the rest of the day was having major problems. All I had eaten that day at that point was some grapes in the morning and Tomato soup from Pacific Foods so I know it had to be from the milkshake... -

Ok well since you're getting married in 2 weeks it's probably not to late to modify your cake. Do what I did. I had them make the top tier of the cake a gluten-free cheesecake, and we cut from the top instead of the bottom. Each layer is kept seperate (not that you see that) so you don't have to worry to much about it touching the other layers, but just to... -

I've been on Synthroid since I was diagnosed several years ago. I've had my dosage adjusted several times now, most recently as of 2 weeks ago. I started out on 1 pill of .050 every day. Then we took it up to taking that 5 days a week and 2 pills 2 days a week. Then I started taking the .075 dose, 1 pill every day. I went for my regular 6 month check up a... -
I have more stupid moments than I can possibly remember, but there are 2 that stick out the most in my mind. My family will never let me forget the year I ruined my sisters birthday. They had gotten her a Carvel cake and told me to put it in the upstairs freezer for the next day. (We had 2 kitchens in the house because my grandma lived with us till she...

I went to a cooking and tasting demo a couple weeks ago by Annalise Roberts. She made an incredible Submarine Bread and it seemed pretty easy so I bought the cookbook and figured I'd give it a try. Well I made it last night and it's great!!!! I'm not sure if it rose as much as it should have, but it did rise and it looks pretty decent. But most importantly...

Hey Jen, It's still here!! I haven't been there yet but I plan to. I just called them and they plan on re-opening this Saturday. (They had a fire and were renovating). Hopefully you'll still be here then! Oh and that isn't the same deli (the website you found). That is a kosher deli in Westchester County. -

Ok well I was all excited when I saw the Shitake Mushroom Gravy but now i'm kinda torn as whether to try this. In NY we're big on packaging and taste. LOL!!! I can overlook the packaging but Ebrbetty's review of the gravy didn't make me very hopeful. -
Yeah it was definately the toaster. I eat Haagen Dazs Rocky Road ice cream religiously and never have a problem.

ARCHIVED How Do I Plan A Gluten Free Wedding?

Have you considered not having an entirely gluten free wedding and just making provisions for yourself. This is what I did. To be honest as much as I said I planned to eat at my wedding and not be one of the brides that doesn't eat at her wedding; I barely ate. I was just so busy talking to everyone, dancing, etc. that I had a few of the appetizers at the... -
Actually that was the case, but they got so many calls from people asking if they have gluten free pizza that they decided to make it. I would assume they also still make wheat free pizza with spelt flour, but they are now also making a gluten free one. I haven't tried it yet.

I gotta be honest, I really think you should maybe talk to a professional about that. I mean I certainly get b$tchy and find that I can tend to be in a pretty pissy mood when I have PMS.. but never to the point of suicidal thoughts. Maybe someone else has some better advice, but this doesn't sound like normal PMS to me. -

Do you add xanthum gum to it at all? I tried that once and while they tasted great I had to scrape them off the pan because they just flatened into one big cookie. (This was my first baking attempt and before I'd ever heard of xanthum gum). -
