ARCHIVED Megan's Gagging Isn't Any Better
mouse replied to TCA's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Thank you for the update Tanya. I check in 3 or more times a day to see how you and Megan are doing. I know it is so hard for you to find the time, let alone the energy to keep us informed. Please know that we are not snooping, but are geninuely concerned for all of you. My many prayers and hugs are coming to you daily. -
ARCHIVED Has Anyone Had These Symptoms?
mouse replied to eileen.e.wells's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
I would recommend that you see a Neurologist for the walking and balance problems. Gluten can cause that. PLEASE stay on the gluten-free diet, because if it is a neuological problem, then staying gluten-free helps it from progressing. Listen to your doctor and not your friend in this instance. And Welcome to the forum. You will find much help here from... -

We need to live where there is a quality doctor, just in case I get pneumonia again - he he. Can I have my wine cooler in the kitchen. Don't drink it often enough and it stays forever in the cooler. -
ARCHIVED Glutening - How Long Does It Take?
mouse replied to Lane R's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I start within 10 to 20 minutes with severe heartburn and then I get stomach cramps. That is ususally as far as it goes, but it is usually just cross contamination with me. -

mouse replied to Judyin Philly's topic in Related Issues & Disorders
So glad the Cellulitis is gone, but sad that you have to figure out what treatment to follow up with for the tumors. I can't imagine calling 10 places trying to get answers for this. LOL. Of course I can as we all have placed hundreds of calls to see if we can safely eat something Duh, I can't believe that I said that statement about placing 10 phone... -

ARCHIVED Update On Our Son
mouse replied to VydorScope's topic in Parents, Friends and Loved Ones of Celiacs
Thank you for posting the update about Timothy. I knew he had some hearing loss, but did not know that it had gotten so much worse. That is great news that they caught it in time and that he is really learning to talk and can now hear. You and your wife are wonderful parents and Timothy is so lucky to have you as parents. That is also great news that... -

I am so sorry Tanya. But I am so glad that you are there and that maybe they will see what is happening at home. This might provide some answers before the surgery. Hugs and prayers. -

ARCHIVED Newly Diagnosed Celiac...
mouse replied to Cornhusker's topic in Coping with Celiac Disease
I am the one with Celiac and I cook all dinners totally gluten free. This was easiest as I never had the energy to prepare two meals. My husband has his own toaster and I have mine. He uses the area in front of his toaster to make his sandwiches. He has his own dish towel and I have a separate one that I use to wipe the hand dishes. Our containers in... -

Hi Tanya. When you did not post I was concerned that things were not going well. Isn't that terrible that we expect you to be tied to the computer and not have any life at all. Glad to hear that you did a normal thing even if she had a few problems. Still saying prayers for a great Mom and wonderful Megan. -

Tanya, I have the prayers highlighted for Megan tomorrow. Have a safe trip. About the bottled water - ugh - we buy cases of it as you never leave the house without one in your hand. Not here in Arizona. I wish someone would remember which ones are safe to drink. I just buy the ones on sale. -

Welocme to the forum. I agree with all of the other posts. It is your decison as to what your future life will be. At 27, I was healthy. In my 30's intestional problems started and I was told that I had IBS. I was diagnosed with osteoatrthitis, hypothyroid and fribromylagia in my 30s. I started getting what I called mini flu's in my 40s'. In my 50... -

Tanya, just checking in tonight to see how the day went for you and Megan. I also cannot believe that you posted on my prayer thread. You are such a caring person. I am going to let the tread die. As this thread is so much more important. I am doing better and even got to the grocery store today with hubby pushing the cart. Wore a long sleeve T as I... -

ARCHIVED Am I Or Aren´t I?
mouse replied to Debbie65's topic in Celiac Disease Pre-Diagnosis, Testing & Symptoms
Probably very accurate. You never outgrow Celiac and must follow the diet for life. You can have a false negative, but not a false positive. If your GI doctor did not take the biopsies from the right areas and did not take enough of them, then nothing would show up. Having the biospies is a hit or miss proposition. I hope you go back on the diet as many...
