McCormicks Vanilla is gluten free as it is make from synthetic alcohol. I always use it. Hope that will help

To the best of my knowledge Maltodextrim is ok, Malt is not. Lots of folks do not like the MSG in the taco sauce, but that's preference.

Guess I missed alot. Ok, I'll spend the next three hours reading ALL the posts. I hope every one was polite and respectful of others opinion?
Oh, well, that will have to wait. Friday night - I got a date.

My hair just go shorter and shorter. It never seemed to grow and I had to trim the dry ends.
I can't attribute all of this new hair growth the Oil of Olay. A good balanced diet and trying to heal a body that has been way out of wack for many years....has it's benefits. I am pleased.

I have just read the last page of this thread, and I appogize if this thought preceded my current post.
There is no drug that can cure this disease, to date. Research and development is based on money for rearch. Since the diet is a cure. Research stops here, because no money will be gernerated by phar. sales.
I am sure that that has already been mentioned. I think that it is a medical closeout because it will make no one rich.
Oh well, that's my two cents.

I have found that in larger cities, most restaurants are familiar with gluten free request and seem to be very accomodating. I pull out my gluten free card and the waiter takes it back to the kitchen to speak to the chef. He/She will return with selected choices that are safe. Maybe a little boring, but safe. Good luck and hope you enjoy free of issue.

I use Oil of Olay....my skin looks better. My hair never seemed to grow and now is getting longer and my nails are heathier. It is also gluten-free
-
I usually grade my own. It is really much tastier.

Nope, I am trying to become a woman of virtue again, after being a fallen woman.....
Sounds boring, eh?
Karen
I'll second on the boring.

We subscribe to the Virgina Pilot, out of Norfolk, VA - the article is by Janet Helm, Chicago Tribune. It was a newspaper article and I don't know how to get it to you, Heading is "Allergy warning doesn't spell it all out".
I always thought that Malt is bad, but Maltodextrin was ok? If I am wrong, I have been screwing up for a very long time.

Gluten Article:
"Do not use fat or far-free sour cream to top Taco Quesadillas. They often contain MALTODEXTRIN and/or modified food starch."
Do they know what they are taking about, probly no???
Well, I guess it's good publicity. Any publicity is good.

Wonderful Carrie, putting that in my file. Thanks
That will help lots. Good for you

We have all been there. My husband and I love going to quality restaurants. We don't do that anymore, that the pissy part. There is no reason to do that any more when you search the menu and find nothing you can eat and the chef is too busy to give your the attention you need. But, on the flip side, I have become one heck of a good cook....oops, that reminds me, gotta feed the folks here. (my husband thinks that I have a boyfriend of this forum
I have cried over many a menu!!!!!

To be totally on your road to recovery, you must check your shampoos, lotions, lipsticks/shaving cream, soaps. Remember, gluten is in everything you come across during the course of the day. Anything that has potential to come into contact with your mouth.
If you need so initial product suggestion, please post back, and we will offer some.
What are your other symptions?

I would definately not use any face cream with wheat. Too close to your mouth. I use lubridurm and burts bee (which is wonderful).

Just wanted to say that there are no stupid questions here so ask away.
It is obvious that you have a reaction to either wheat or cassin products. As stated before, if you choose to be tested continue as usual although painful to you.
If you choose to go gluten free, we can send you the Delfi Product List, that lists product by brand name and it is easier for you to shop for appropriate foods.
We all can get you started.
Let us know. Lisa
