IH has posted some good information and very appropriate for this thread. But, aside from any gluten or Celiac issues, extended use of birth control will diminish you menstrual cycle.
-
Using birth control for extended years (20), will diminish your menstrual cycle down to nothing.
After going off the birth control, within several months you should restore your normal cycle (if nothing additional has developed since then).
Not too sure gluten plays a role here.
It's pretty much hormone related. But, then I guess hormones could be out of wack due to deficiencies.
UKGail, I began Peri menopause at 35. A b%$@# long before my time.
It lasted about ten years, until full onset menopause. But, then I have no family history as my mother died early. Probably just genetics.
I always get tickled with the word Men-0-Pause!

Please
It sounds interesting.

Just tell them that you have a gluten intolerance. When you eat gluten it makes you very ill. 'nuff said!
And if that's not good enough, get new friends. Personally, I have found that not too many people really care. That's okay with me though. I just get on about my life.

An elimination diet and a gluten challenge is a test. Just because you don't get a piece of paper from your doctor does not mean it is not a test. Trust your body.
I agree

Excellent!
I must try this!

Confusing the picture further are private labs that offer tests of stool or saliva that they say can definitively diagnose gluten sensitivity. Experts say that such tests haven't been validated and shouldn't be relied on for a diagnosis. "If anyone claims they have a test that is specifically for gluten sensitivity, there is no such thing, though I'm not ruling it out in the future," says Dr. Fasano.
This is an excellent article, please read it in entirety.

I keep searching on line for it's gluten/gluten free status. Is anyone familiar with this?
-
I make my own, but can't recall measurements.
Cook gluten-free shells in salted water, drain
Add some butter, lots of cheese and half&half
...to the consistency and taste that you prefer. Easy Peezy!
(ditto)

I've only been gluten free for a little while but anything with GRAVY I'm a gravy nut case LOL
too bad you can't mimic bleu cheese LOL
Blue Cheese should not be a problem for those of us with celiac. I do miss Knorr's gravy (I used to doctor it up and make it even better).

I make lasagna all the time. I just use the Tinkyada noodles but don't cook them first or they melt. I have never put an egg in my lasagna.
I have seen recipes with really thin layers of egg plant as the noodles but I have not tried that.
How do you keep it moist Karen. Mine is either really dry or too mushy. I don't cook the Tinks. I use left over spaghetti sauce.
I guess it tastes like spaghetti lasagna. <thinking>, so why go through the trouble, just server spaghetti.

Jess, I have been in your shoes as has my adult daughter. I told her, not to very long ago, that the reason may not be clear right now, but someday it will be.
Hugs to you and a good cry is required. xxxooo

**FAIR WARNING: I HAVE NOT RECEIVED A RESPONSE FROM COCA-COLA ABOUT THIS STUFF YET, SO I COULD BE WRONG, BUT I AM HAVING A REACTION, AND THIS WAS THE ONLY NEW THING I'VE ATE IN THE PAST DAY.
I bought some of this shopping this past week, and guess what? It seems to have glutened me. Unlike the other "Simply" products, and I didn't notice this before purchasing, the ingredients aren't "Cranberry Juice" and that's it. It's got a bunch of other crap in it, one of those things being "artificial flavors". I can't think of anything else that I ate yesterday that would have got me, but this seems to be the culprit. I'm gonna email Coca-Cola, as they distribute this brand and ask them, but I'm thinking it's NOT gluten free at this point in time.
Hey Josh.

The ingredients do not indicate any gluten. Wheat must be listed and I don't think that malt/barley or rye would be in this product. But, please post your response.

Sake - fermented with rice and Koji enzymes. The Koji enzymes are grown on Miso, which is usually made with barley. The two-product separation from barley, and the manufacturing process should make it safe for celiacs.
...this is all I got!

Welcome Gary! Take a walk around.

Yeah, PF Chang's is one of my favorites. Unfortunately they don't have lunch prices for any of their gluten-free options but you can be rest assured they took great care of your food when it comes out on one of those red plates. Just don't eat the fortune cookie, cause they always bring me one...maybe just so I can read the fortune.
Nor the soy sauce and mix that is already on the table. Always ask for gluten-free soy sauce. But, eating there is always a treat for me. It's and hour and a half away...therefore the treat.

Thankfully the belladonna homeopathic helped avert my migraine though I had to sleep 11 hours afterwards.

Only recently did I realize that some children can have intestines that are not where they should be. There is a medical term for this, but I don't recall it. It's something that you can be born with, indicating low body weight.
If your son does not eat well, it might be painful for him. I will look in to the official name.
And, never mind others.
Here is the information that my daughter's niece was diagnosed with, with successful surgery, recently.
Intestinal malrotation/volvulus
Intestinal malrotation is a birth defect involving a malformation of the intestinal tract. It occurs while a fetus is forming in its mothers' uterus. A child with malrotation is likely to experience a twisting of the intestine known as a volvulus.
This will cause an obstruction, preventing food from being digested normally. The blood supply to the twisted part of the intestine can also be cut off, which can lead to the death of that segment of the intestine. Learn more about intestinal malrotation/volvulus here.
I certainly do not want to alarm you. But this might be something you might want to discount. Check with your doctor.

I have answered my own question. As I feared, the edges of the pasta were crispy. Not as tough as the wheat pasta was, but certainly not something you'd want. Daughter hated it! I won't be making any more lasagna for another year or so.
Hahah...Lasagna is not my best effort either.

I agree.
I didn't mean to stomp on your vent. Everyone deserves a place here to vent.

Realizing the ingred list was on the bottom & that simply turning it over would be an instant mess, I was thinking "prob no one else in the store would have to do this", making sure the bottom wasn't already wet before dangling it above me to squint at the ingreds (need new glasses .. I hope) as quickly as possible given the questionable container integrity evidenced by all the pools of grease in the display case.
[Mods - plz enter this in longest run-on sentence of the day contest, if that's still goin on] lol
I did that yesterday. Why do they put the labels on the bottom of the hot rotisserie chicken. It's dangerous on many levels.
Tom gets the prize of the day for the longestrunonsentence.
