    The facts remain the same, the opinions differ. All the research and support organization for Celiac and it's Awareness, render the McD's french fries safe for people with Celiac to consume. Please do your own research. Do a search on this site. It's a personal choice.

We have always suggested that people educate themselves on the issues and make an educated choice for themselves...

    In the US, Modified Food Starch is generally corn. If, derived from wheat it, by law must be listed as Modified Food Starch (wheat). Try Yoplait. They label as gluten free. I like to support those companies. Congratulations and Welcome to the Club!

    If I recall properly, people absorb 75% of the fluids we intake in our small intestines. So, if there is damage to the small intestine, as would be with Celiac Disease, it would make sense that absorptions of fluids would also be hindered. Drink as much as your body wants.     I have had no issue with McD's Fries, but I accept the risk of possible cross contamination from any fast food restaurant.

    Lynayah, it would be easy to wash your fruit well and, if you felt it necessary, cut out the area where the label was stuck to. There are so many areas of concern on the gluten free diet, this one appears to be an easy fix.
