  1. I don't know without looking at the ingredients. But, Smithfield has a very good customer service and I am sure that they can offer you a listing of their gluten free products. Any product that is marinaded or preseasoned is subject to potential gluten. I tend to look for products with the least amount of ingredients when possible.
  2. Yes, both are considered gluten free.
  3. Here is the recipe that you copied from the original thread: osted by: lonewolf Apr 8 2008, 12:22 PM Really, this is the easiest and tastiest pizza crust I've made. (And I thought my regular crust with yeast was good.) This is the Brazilian Cheese Bread recipe from the other thread. I just made little mini pizzas for my kids to take for lunch today. ...
  4. I recall seeing it posted and don't recall any moderators actions. Odd
  5. If your blood work was elevated outside of the normal ranges you DO have Celiac. Welcome to the Club. Positive dietary response is also a diagnosis. Welcome to the Club.
  6. I am always glad to have Celiac Disease brought into the limelight. But Elizabeth's delay in "comming out" has dampened my enthusiasm. I would hate to think that she is riding the "gluten free wave" for profit, while we are in the trenches. ANYWAY....publicity, is publicity, is publicity. Thanks Patti for posting.
  7. Depression can be a big symptom of Celiac Disease. Although not a guarantee, many people here have left their depression with the gluten free diet. If your doctor refuses to test you for Celiac, I would suggest that you find a new one. And, should it be your choice not to pursue testing, you need no doctor's prescription to begin the diet. A positive...

  10. Rice Chex gets my vote to be one of the main stream cereal product to declare "gluten free" by removing the malt flavoring as a previous ingredient.
  11. If you are new to the diet, it is pretty hard to pin point a glutening. It took me about six months to heal enough that I felt a direct glutening. (make sense?). I would not draw any other food intolerances until you have completely eliminated gluten from you diet. As I have said before, a gluten reaction has a loud voice. Once you quite that down,...

  13. The baby Eagles have hatched. This is a special "peep" at something that few get a change to see. I certainly have enjoyed watching this.
  14. That's what I do. But, I think that McCormicks Cocktail Sauce is gluten free (last that I looked)

  18. Some of your husbands symptoms could point to Celiac. Celiac Disease has over 200 symtoms. 19. Yes...all good information. I do TRY to buy gluten free topical products just in case I do have a gluten reactions, I can eliminated that source immediately. I do not find it critical to my health and I do not have any DH issues. In the past three years information as developed and changed quite a lot. As Gemini stated caramel color is not a...
  20. Glad to hear that you are getting started. I kinda feel like it's great to "pay it forward" and the CDF and a local support group is a great way to do that. Let us know about the Convention. I have never been to one and hopefully in the future I will be able to.
  21. www.celiac.org and contact Debroah J. Ceizler, or (818) 990-2354 Celiac Disease Foundation will hook you up with wonderful starter information. Thanks for wanting to do this.
  22. As stated earlier by company response, Yoplait will clearly list all forms of gluten to include barley, rye, malt or wheat. If you do not see these words on the ingredients list, it is gluten free. As so are the products that these companies sell: Open Original Shared Link
  23. It is not the amount of gluten that you consume, but rather the autoimune reaction that as little as one molecule can kick off in your small intestines. The gluten does not do the damage, it's the chain reaction set off by the gluten and your body turns against itself. Make sense? Your personal care products are always a personal choice (except for...
  24. "And by the way, In my panic, I read some threads about getting rid of gluten skin products and gluten everything. I did stop using certain lipsticks because that sits on my mouthc, but this misinformation spreads panic unnecessarily. Gluten is not a danger unless it hits the stomach or villi, which can only happen if it is swallowed, then producing /...
  25. I have had diagnosed IBS for most of my life, and seemed to function with that fact. One day in July kept me housebound and close to the bathroom for two months. My Celiac was triggered by stress and I can pin point THE day. If you wish to pursue testing, this is the test that needs to be ordered by your doctor: Anti-gliadin antibodies (AGA) both...
