  1. I have been gluten free for almost two years. For a long time, during meals, I would have facial perspiration and found no real connection. I even posted that question here with little answers. It turns out that eating dairy, I will have an immediate reaction with the familiar facial perspiration. I can tolerate limited dairy without intestinal distress...
  2. Hey Patti - I have seniority I think that it's cool that the "old" crowd is still around.
  3. Congratulations Tom on your two year anniversary! My two years are coming up in August. It's nice that you pop in here from time to time to help those that came after you. Celebrate tonight with some of your Redbridge and best to Meg. Maybe we can work out a dinner at the Banks this summer. Lisa
  4. Gonbad: Although a few people react to MSG, it is not gluten related. I have not issues with MSG. But I would clean you grill well and use natural wood charcoal. (or get a new grate)
  5. Maltodextrin is gluten free although Malt is not. Confusing? Progresso's Creamy Mushroom Soup is gluten free and much better than Campbells. Charcoal briquettes contains gluten so I would suggest Natural Wood Charcoal (Cowboy Brand). Happy Grilling
  6. You must have recently deleted some of your messages. That's just how it is indicted.
  7. "...it's been a while since I used my bread maker" I hope that you did not baker regular bread in that machine before. That would be a MAJOR source for cross contamination.
  8. You don't have to buy those pricey gluten free items. Just stick to meats, rice, potatoes, rice, veggies and fruit, nuts, etc... If you need some suggestion for meals, many of us would be glad to help.
  9. So many of us have been diagnosed with IBS for oh so many years. That may be the precursor to Celiac where the trigger is needed. What happenes in the transition from IBS to Celiac Disease? Is it a weaked system or over-heated regarding the defense system? Does that make sense? I know that IBS is not a diagnosis, but why do so many of us have the symptoms...
  10. Where in China are you.? My brother is in Shanghai. Just noticed, MSG is gluten free in the US, in China is it wheat based? Crap, this is why it's so difficult for everyone.
  11. Hey Nikki: Your Queen is coming to the Colonies. Jamestown is about two hours away, but I am enjoying the news coverage. I also think that she is going to visit Virginia Tech, where they have had such tragedies. Looking forward to the visit.
  12. Well, I guess I came in through the back door. #l5,000 HOLY COW!! Lots of happy faces here.
  13. Now that sounds scary. I sure wish they could get to the bottom of this.
  14. Happy 1001 Rachelville! OOOPS, well I thought so. Congradulations anyways.
  15. It wonderful to hear about some good news. I am so happy for you and your daughter!
  16. ditto on the oats, sorry.
  17. Sorry about you Dad babe. Been there, done that. I'll be thinking about you.
  18. Sort of. You carry the gene and are predisposed for Celiac. It often takes a trigger such as stress, pregnancy, surgery, etc. to kick Celiac into high gear.
  19. Roxanna: I cannot tell you the pants that I threw out. Two months I could not leave my home. This "no feeling" is nonsense. I remember needing the bathroom which was six seconds away and I got there in seven seconds. Granted, there was no warning, or very little. That was a discussed lost of several good jeans. This was relieved after two months...
  20. So sorry you're feeling bad. The wine may have contributed in the excess. Today I ate out with my daughter and felt that I ate safely. Late afternoon and tonight I feel like I am underwater. My arms are heavy, legs are heavy and all in slow motion and major fatigue. 24 hours will be the determining factor to a gluten effect. I have found that the...
  21. I would also be concerned about the latex gloves, but if my memory is correct it is not flour related but perhaps cornstarch or cellulose. Many doctors/ dentists have un-dusted gloves and I would request that.
  22. Colgate is gluten free.
  23. I do believe that they pulled Zelnorm off the market...and can't remember why.
  24. OMG Nora was wonderful!!! She put a big smile on MY face. Love the "vintage" photos.
