    ARCHIVED Doctor Finding Help

I am way east of Raleigh, about as east as you can go.........and I would not recommed anyone here.....Other than my Internal Medicine DR. whom I adore. He is learning from me but, right there for me. Don't know anyone is Raleigh. Sorry I can't help
  4. B-12 has done wonderful things for me. When first D I was taking a shot once a week, now once a month. It really helps when I get the shakes in my hands and muscles. At 51 and post med. I most likely could use the testotos. and would make the home life a little more cuddley. That's a question for all of us over-the-hill broads. I ha ve been on sooo...
  5. Jessica: Don't worry. Celiac Disease is not a life sentence, it is a life style change. That change in your hand. No pills, no surgery, just simply, a diet change. I won't elaborate here as there are many on this forum that are about your age and many other who develope Celiac Disease after childbirth. I'm sure that they will be very helpful to...
  6. Make sure that you take someone with you who will convey the conversation from the Gastro. Dr. I did not remember anything including lunch afterwards with my husband. I asked him for three days what the Dr. told him. If your attendee is like my husband, ask them to take notes for you to refer to later. I slept it off for the remainder of the day. It...

    ARCHIVED Balsamic Dressing

Thanks for all your replies. I have no issue with Balsamic Vineg., just the dressing in restaurants. I have found out that many use soy sauce in their sauces/dressings. I will stop ordering this in the place that I go to lunch. I now bring my own dressing. I can make a better dressing than I can get in a restaurant anyways. Lisa B.
  8. Thanks, I'll put this in my file and pass this on to a new local member.
  9. I know that you can take a tax deduction since it is a medically required diet. Documentation is pretty hard to keep up with. You can deduct the gas it takes if you have to go out of town to find specific foods and you can deduct the difference in the price cost of gluten free foods vs. regular foods in the same category. It would be a pain in the neck...
  10. The worst of your issue is your anxiety. The proceedure is nothing and you most likely will not remember anything. Please bring someone who can relay to you what the dr. said. Ask them to write it down as you will not remember I know that you have do drink, or take pills to clear out your bowls. That will be the worst Don't worry, you are on the...
  11. Burt't Bees' is wonder full. I also use Lubriderm which is also good (not the oats) Hope this will help
  12. Why not soak your own and have plenty for other conconctions later. Beans are beans. Go to the Hanover site an check their website. They have great information.
  13. Let me add........... When I read a post and go to back, it brings me back the the "click on message board", and not to the new forum site. I may be doing something wrong, but it seems to be changed. Those that make sense??
  14. Heather: I am certainly not an expert at this, but when I am "glutened" I try to drink plenty of water. What you have ingested is already there. Plenty of water will counter the "Big D" issue that comes for most of us with gluten. It will keep you hydrated. What is going to happen will happen Some times you just have to let it take it's course....
  15. Well...if you are sure of the ingrediance, let's goggle them up. You and me. But maybe others with chime in.
  16. Molly , I don't know, but I sure do love it. I suspect that it may be gluten-free, but can't verify for you. It is imported and I have not looked at one recently and am not even sure that it will list the ingrediances. Hope we can find out, I would love to have one (a whole one all to myself)
  17. You can also search this site for shampoo's, face creams, chapstick (substituted), adult drinks and much more. Click on to search and they will pop up. Hope this is helpful. Lisa B.
  18. If your lifestye and obligations are getting out of hand, your diet is causing you stress, work schedule and bathroom issuestraffic delays and no bathroom, all causes stress,I would not look the other way about looking into an anti-depresant. I resisted this for a long time. I reluctantly filled the prescription. I could not have made a better choice...
  19. I would like to add to my library of Gluten Free Books and Cookbooks. I need suggestion for my girls to give me as gifts. ARCHIVED Fast Food

I would be glad to have the list of gluten free-fast foods. But I am a totally moron regarding the computer. They are all opened by WORD. Is there any way to to access the Is there a way to access the list by other means. Without my girls here to help me I cant open the WORD file, it say "no file can be found" and therefore I don't know where to...
  21. Don't know the answer to your question but........... Check the ingredience in margerine and do the same with real butter.....then make a choice. Lisa B.
  22. Idealy, I would like to stay at the weight that I am now and just build up muscles. I guess more fruit and less carbs would help. I have never been in the 120's since I was in my late teens. I have head from people that I know, they they all thought that I was anorexic and now the word is getting out that I had a diatary problem, they all seem to want...
  23. Charmaine: Your daughters Adderal may take some time to settle in. Give this some time. Many doctors are quick to prescribe Adderal, so pleae check her attitude and place in life and age appropriate actions. Monitor this closely. I can not stress this as being so very important. I don't know her age, but some teenagers and young adult can have a very...
  24. Gluten free as best as able for about four months. Lexipro is an antidepresent, which may slow the metab.
  25. Therein is much misinformation. We all rely on this post for the most accurate information. I may have been guilty of this myself, but please do no post something that is safe when it cannot be firmly verified. Products are most confusing for all of us, other than those who have been doing this for years. I myself am just a few months into this....
