    Yes, but it's probably better than pop. It's like having a treat cereal once a week. It's a treat beverage. 90% of the time he drinks milk. The odd time a small glass of pop and during school it's usually wildberry juice which is "juice" not "punch" or "beverage".

    Hmm. Not sure about that. I spoke to the owner the second or third day after it opened and he said maybe they would start allowing kids, but just then they weren't letting kids in. Call them and double check.

    Kalanfan - I assume you're from Canada? Alberta? If you're near Edmonton or Calgary, look for potato starch at T&T Asian market or any other Asian market. Potato flour is not interchangeable with potato starch flour. I don't know why they have the word flour after starch. They are quite different.

    So far, Ty's the only one with celiac in our family. My husband, older son, my Mom and I were all tested and all negative. These were not gene tests, but I do know that I have HLA-B8 and HLA-B44 because about 15 years ago I signed up to be a bone marrow donor, and they did HLA-typing and they notified me of 3 HLA types.
