  1. I just tried their spaghetti and it was absolutely delicious. Of course I'm still a Tinkyada fan, but it's nice to have options.
  2. I try to limit carageenan too. What a stupid ingredient. Do manufacturers think we would choose to eat a glue-like substance? I wish they didn't have to put it in soy milk.
  3. I think that I have reactions to hydrolyzed stuff as well as to maltodextrin. I try not to eat products with either of these things in them.
  4. Exactly the same problem I had with Tom's. My husband uses it now with no odor problems. I prefer natural ones too. But I bought Adidas non-aluminum just to try it out.
  5. That's crazy. Blood tests only take about 48 hours before we get the results here. That's a huge discrepancy between the provinces. Suprise, suprise!
  6. Thanks for posting about this company. I was wondering if their products were gluten-free.
  7. Toasting is a definite for any gluten-free bread. I like EnerG rice breads and crackers and Kinnikinnick bagels.
  8. Your cat looks just like mine, except that mine has white paws. They could be related.
  9. Exactly! Why are we arguing with each other when everyone is different and it is the corporations that are the problem. Rarely do people look at the source of the problem.
  10. These are available at Costco. Does anyone know if they are gluten-free? The ingredients look fine, but there is no cc or allergy statement.
  11. I just wanted to add that dairy of any kind gives me diarrhea.
  12. The website is www.homegrownfoods.com and it lists the Calgary stores where they are sold.
  13. Actually, I only tried them because I read one of your posts saying that you could eat them. LOL Old Dutch is a Canadian brand.
  14. Try Lundberg brand, they are safe and good.
  15. For whatever reason, I have problems with Bob's products. I wish I knew why.
  16. Exactly! Then the doctors push medications to "treat" the symptoms of IBS, which then requires more medications. Just go to the IBS forum where almost everyone is on medication and almost nobody wants to think about dietary change. IBS is a blanket diagnosis (Rome II criteria) for when they do not know what is wrong with you. It is not a disease...
  17. I hope they can figure out what is causing your pain. It doesn't sound like very much fun.
  18. You have only been off gluten for a short time so it still could take months to really feel great. But mistakes are common in the beginning, and it could take a few days to a week before you recover from the couscous. But everybody is different in their recovery times.
  19. I haven't tried them yet because I am afraid of a reaction. But, I just ate a large bag of Lays Natural plain potato chips this weekend with no troubles at all. I react to Lays Stax, so I was very pleased to find out that I do not react to the Natural product line. I am very sensitive too.
  20. Freybe is also casein free. It says lactose free on the label, but I confirmed with their website and they do not add any dairy.
  21. They don't have gluten-free statements on mainstream products in Canada.
  22. Bright red blood means it is lower down, usually on the anus or near it. Possibly you could have anal fissures or hemmeroids (sp?). Both can be painful with some itching and both can be caused by constipation or diarrhea. I would see a doctor to confirm what is going on.
  23. Kraft will list any allergen ingredients such as wheat on the product itself. Also, their website lists gluten-free products.
  24. When I was in Barcelona I wasn't gluten-free yet. But I do remember eating lots of fresh tomatoes. Sorry I can't offer any more help.
