  4. Bea, I like my veggies soft, so I roasted them at 400 for about 45 minutes. I did an acorn squash along side in a separate pan. That soup sounds so good! I like the idea of doing the chicken first, and then removing all the excess fat. Does he do the first step in the crock pot or on the stove?
  5. Hee! Beaver tails I can nae believe Em has never mentioned this!
  6. I tried 'em roasted last night and they were delicious! I washed them, cut off the end and left them whole. Tossed them in a couple tablespoons of olive oil, sprinkled on a little sea salt and roasted until tender.

  9. If it's the anemia, it took a little while for it to abate for me. I felt better gradually over a few months. Have you been supplementing for long? It also takes the intestine some time to heal and begin absorbing well again. If it's happening when you haven't eaten, maybe try not going more than 3 hours or so without eating something that includes...

  15. That sounds awful For years, nausea was my main symptom. It would get so bad that I wished I could throw up, but I never did. I'm convinced that it was the fear of vomiting in public that triggered my panic attacks. <shudder> I almost never vomit--save for a few "stomach flu's" during childhood and when pregnant the second time.
  16. Quick thinkin' and amazing control! My younger son would always make it to the bathroom. The oldest would just let 'er rip where ever he happened to be. There was another time where he threw up in his bed, so we put him in the guest room bed while I cleaned up his-- and he puked there too. Yes, I gave him a plastic wastebasket...... Another...
  17. One time we had to rent a carpet shampoo'er at midnight.....we were living in Georgia and our house was sold. My eldest puked off the side of his bed and there was this gigantic orange-y stain all over the off-white carpeting. <gag> I sent Mark up to the the Winn Dixie and at first they wouldn't rent it to him since the policy was not after...

  19. Mornin all Wow Suz--the anemia Agreed that it may explain a lot of things. Are you supplementing? Velcro has turned out to be a "model" traveler Tell Skit that he is fine and seems to be enjoying the trip. Striped appendages
  20. Sorry you had to answer your own post I would have probably just used all white rice flour, since there was cornstarch in the recipe. Also, almond flour might have been good. Gluten Free Pantry has an excellent pancake mix, too.
