  2. Here is the absolute best gluten-free crust I've ever had--I got the recipe from here quite a while ago by member "hangininthere" who I don't think posts here anymore. It goes together very easily.... 'New York Style' Pizza Crust Makes one 16" pizza crust 2 tablespoons rapid-rise yeast 1 1l3 cup warm milk 1 teaspoon sugar 1 1l3 cup brown rice...

  5. I love meatballs on pizza! Also, bacon and green pepper. Sometimes, though, I like just cheese (lots) and pepperoni. I like to mix mozzerella with a little extra sharp cheddar, and when the pizza is all assembled grate fresh pecorino romano over the top before it goes in the oven.
  6. I hate to say it Nik, but night sweats are a pretty good indicator. I never really had daytime hot phlashes until the last year but I had night sweats for several years. 9. I'm so sorry about your narrow minded doctor--thankfully you have the "long-distance" team working with you. I wish you much luck with everything--please keep us posted
  10. My mom has been on Premerin for 40 years Just recently did they at least cut her dosage--and she's in her 70's. Horrifying to me, but "if the doctor says it, it has to be so" She also has perfect blood pressure, but is on meds for that too.....just in case I just don't get it.....<headscratchingemoticon>
  11. Didja hear that PeOter???? Truer woids were never spoken!
  12. Sadly, I can't tolerate the gluten-free oats either. My reactions used to last much longer in the beginning, although everyone's are different. They can last anywhere from a few hours to weeks. Mine used to take 2-3 weeks and now after 4 years they are generally pretty much over in a day or two. I think part of that is that it's easier now to figure...

  16. I'm as grossed out as anyone at the thought, but I found this quote very interesting-- "At the end of the 21-week trial, all of the volunteers were offered medication to get rid of their parasite but all opted to keep their hookworm."
  17. I would too, without question.
  18. Exactly. A phone rep from a company can declare a product "gluten-free", meaning there are no gluten ingredients added but presently there is no actual legal description of "gluten-free". If pressed further, they would never guarantee that their product was completely safe--there are just to many variables. That said, I've used Colgate (I switch between...

  20. At my Kroger, the brand is Poindexter Nut Company. They have almonds and walnuts in one pound resealable plastic bags that state they were processed in a peanut and gluten free facility in a white stripe across the back. The last time I was there, I saw bags of pecans too, but I was in a hurry so I'm not 100% sure they were by the same company but they...
