  1. Good morning and Happy Sunday everybody! Picard, I love the name you and your wife chose for the new baby. It's lovely! I, too, will keep good thoughts for all to go smoothly. A baby in Rachelville--how exciting Donna, thanx for the book update. It sounds good. We actually had a brown out last Tuesday night during the storm we had that...
  2. Yep--I need my gossip!
  3. It sounds like a muscle spasm to me, too. Have you tried a warm bath?
  4. Not that I can eat these any more , but here are 5 that I really liked-- Tinkyada Pasta Gluten Free Pantry Truffle Brownies Gluten free Pantry French Bread Mix Enjoy Life Snickerdoodles and Gingerbread Spice Cookies Whole Foods Bakeshop Cinnamon Raisin Bread Grandma Ferndon's Hamburger Buns (I had to add those!)
  5. Celia--You could never offend! You don't have it in you
  6. Mamaw--I'm the same way with drugs--most of them don't like me either! The Gluten Free Bible is known for having some information that is not accurate. There's a thread about it somewhere. I'm glad you're doing well now
  7. Hey Susan--I don't eat them, but I've seen the Blue Diamond Thins at Whole Foods. Have a good time tonight
  8. Something tells me this is going to be a long night.
  9. I "knew" I had a histimine problem years ago--just didn't recigonize it as such. Can't believe how all this stuff is connected.
  10. I get a feeling similar to this, but I think it originaly began because of the Celiac. In the year before my diagnosis, I had a pins and needles feeling on my left side especially. My head, left side of my face, arm and both legs. I would describe it as somewhere between numb and tingling. When I first went gluten-free, it got so pronounced on the left...
  11. Rachel--To see the diet, click on the picture of the food at the bottom center of the page. Incidendly, this is the exact kind of diet I follow based on what does not make me sick.
  12. I found this-- Open Original Shared Link
  13. Hi Donna--I'll be interested to hear if the book is worth reading. I know that this is an issue for me, too. Congrats on the nice words re: your bottom! Great news about our new Vet, Jeny! I'm bringing my cat to R'ville. We've had him 14 years and he's a member of the family He's strictly an indoor cat, so no worries about the geese or anything...
  14. I think for the "custom member title" to appear, you have to have 500 posts. (That's so you can put your own words under your avatar.) Of course many less are needed to go from "New" to "Community Member" to "Advanced Community Member"--those changed a while back, so I'm not sure exactly how many posts you need for those. Oh, and Jeny, welcome back...
  15. The exact words my husband wishes I would utter.... I had to have blood drawn for testing a couple weeks ago. I got a huge bruise that didn't go away for over a week. Other times, though, I won't get a bruise from the needle at all. I think it depends on who is operating the needle
  16. That IS good news! I was worried. How in the world did you get her on the phone ?
  17. Hi Celia--Hope it does the trick! If it does, and it makes you tired or anything, you could also try Claritan. It has no side effects for me. I just got home from Home Depot, grocery shopping and CVS. I went fast beacuse it's raining and humid as all get out The weather in R'ville will be nothing like this! Anyway, I finally bought the paint...
  18. Good one, Ravenwood!
  19. Susan, you crack me up!
  20. Life is encroaching on Rachelville for me, too--I need to get to the store, we're going to have storms this afternoon, the rumbling has already started. I'll be checking to see if anyone heard from Andrea as soon as I gat back.
  21. Ya know Rachel, I would. I don't know if you caught it, but Judy (in Philly) has been without power since Tuesday. She managed to get a hold of me by phone the other night, and I was able to post and let everyone know she was ok. She really appreciated it.
  22. I sent her a PM..Was there a bad storm in her area?
  23. Gosh Rachel, you haven't heard from her either? I figured you would have. I am worried now.
  24. Yea--I hope everything is ok..
  25. Mamaw--I agree that if something is making you sick, don't take it. I also read that Norvasc was not gluten-free in the Gluten Free Bible. Maybe that is where this mis-information is coming from. I read that right after I was diagnosed (I even posted about it here). It scared me, because I had been taking it every day for some time--and that's why I called...
