  1. I'm just throwing this out there as another alternative. Standard Process makes calcium lactate which is the only calcium suppliment that I can stomach. It also contains vit. D.
  2. Thanks Chelsea--that was interesting. I don't see why they can't use another binding agent in a supposedly gluten-free food. It makes no sense to me
  3. How about that! Both of you are Celiac--at least you both know and understand what the other is going through! Well, I'm glad you found us here--feel free to post anytime--it was nice to "meet" you
  4. Wow--that's a new one to me! Hopefully someone here is familiar with that. Personally, I would not eat it. I'm super sensitive, and just would not take the chance. Sorry I could not have been more help!
  5. It could be just a mistake--but you can't take any chances
  6. Do not eat it until this is cleared up!!! I do see what you mean--the website claims it is gluten-free, but in the nutrition section, it says it contains wheat. You do need to call them and talk to someone before you eat this. I'd be interested to know what they say.
  7. Hi Kaciemarie--welcome to the board! I just looked the soup up on the website, and it is indeed gluten-free. Open Original Shared Link If a product is gluten-free, it does not always say wheat free in addition. Gluten free automaticaly means wheat free. (not to be confusing, but wheat free does not always mean gluten-free--the product could still...
  8. Very nice!
  9. Last night, I still had about 1/2 of a large tupperware container filled with the rock solid stuff. Put it in the microwave, and put it on defrost for 1 minute. It was still firm, but easier to scoop out. I have ordered more Vance's (needed it anyway), and bought some gelatin. The next time, I plan to try the gelatin and a small amount of oil. I have...
  10. Hi Mango--Thanks for the link. I checked out the question page--Open Original Shared Link and they didn't address the makeup, so I just called them. All of their makeup products are gluten-free! I specifically asked about the mascara for you (and me!) and she said gluten-free. She said that most of the hair and skin stuff has gluten, but the makeup...
  11. I agree--if you can post a picture, I'd love to see it! It sounds great
  12. Jaimek, I apologize if I in any way hurt your feelings, or caused you to think I was attacking you or your doctor. That was not my intent. I was simply joining into a conversation, and adding my experience. Again, I am very sorry.
  13. Congrats Chelsea--you're the normal one
  14. I agree--I was the only child my mom breastfed, and I'm the only one with Celiac. (out of 3 girls). As for the percentages, I believe they are low, also. According to the U of Chicago, the incidence of Celiac in a first degree relative is 1 in 22.
  15. "Normal introvert"--sounds about right. I'll take it
  16. I'm sorry, Faegan--I missed your post this morning (was in a hurry to get ready to go out). Sandoz told me the same thing--I take one of their generics for my blood pressure. Glad you got an answer!
  17. From what I can tell, you could not be further from the truth!
  18. Kim--Sounds great! I don't have a Meijer near me, but I wanted to tell you that I like your picture--nice to finally get to see you
  19. Hi Lister--so you've got a big one coming up!! I hope it's a great birthday, and you stay safe and healthy. Have fun!!! Here is a list you may find helpful-- https://www.celiac.com/st_prod.html?p_prodi...-16106309495.04
  20. I agree! And I like the finish--it looks like skin, not foundation. I also use Bisque for any spots that need extra coverage, and Mineral Veil as a last step. I just don't care for their eye shadows--the loose minerals are difficult for me to use that way. The mascara is also not the best--I use it because they assured me it was gluten-free.
  21. Mine were 30, 35 and 52, respectively.
  22. Lisa--It's getting right down to the wire! I just know everything's going to be fine. I'm sending soothing, stress-free thoughts your way--the 10th--right?
  23. I don't want to scare anyone, but recently I was put on Prevacid for reflux. It caused D, but it was manageable, so I stuck it out. After a week or so, I noticed my reflux was getting better, so I thought I'd gotten over the worst of the side effects. I was wrong--the D got worse, and the scary part was that I got something like vertigo. I couldn't walk...
  24. I still get the hip pain, it is much better since going gluten-free, though. I use Bufferin Extra Strength.
