  1. Yes--the seasoned butter they put on the veggies has gluten. They can leave it off and bring you plain butter on the side.
  2. Sorry Kerrighnne--we've been out all day. Here's my "recipe"....I don't measure or anything, just dump, mix, and bake. Meatloaph Pound and a half or so of ground meat 2 slices bread milk (or sub--even water) egg ketchup medium sized onion salt & pepper Finely mince onion, saute in a little olive oil until soft and set aside to cool. Preheat...
  3. Best of luck with it, Jenny. Glad you found your answer
  4. No Problem
  5. Mine too--it was bland and greasy. I love mine, if I say so myself, and it smells incredible.
  6. sandhun, Is there a chance she could be anemic?

  9. Hi inmygenes, What I would suggest is, send the admin a PM and discuss it with him.
  10. I'd be very interested in seeing any links you have to support that statement. Thanks.
  11. Special for you, Lisa We ended up getting 4 inches.
  12. I reintroduced dairy back after 6 years. I stopped eating it before I knew about the Celiac, thinking dairy was making me sick. I stayed completely dairy free even after I went gluten-free, but about a year and a half ago I decided to try some greek yogurt. When I did fine with that, I slowly added back other dairy and had no problem at all.
  13. <giggle> 3-6 here too....after 11PM. I lived here for 10 years before going away and coming back and I never remember a winter like this one!
  14. Today looks like the calm before the (next) storm--due tomorrow. It's nice to see the sun again....
  15. I've been using argan oil. I put 3 drops in my hand (for chin-length hair), rub hands together and run through my hair before I go to bed. I also put 3-4 drops in my conditioner right before using it. Makes my hair softer and shinier. It's also great for your face and skin--a little goes a long way but I don't find it greasy or oily as my skin...
  16. Nope--it's possible! Before I went gluten-free, I had pain in my right hip. It was much worse in the morning, making turning over in bed extremely painful. After a short time gluten-free, the pain went away completely and has not returned in over 5 years. (knock wood)
  17. It means that it disolves under the tongue. Vitamin B12 is better absorbed that way.
  18. Cornmeal/polenta is more finely ground than grits.
  19. MSG is not a gluten concern.
  20. The recent "grit thread"--
  21. Have you ever tried a neti-pot? I find it very helpful with my sinuses--you just use warm salt water so no fear for the baby.
  22. Thinking about you, K8, and hope all is well
  23. The complications can be scary, but sticking to the gluten-free diet will return your chances of getting them to that of the general public. I had been very ill in the years and months before my diagnosis and it all got much worse after a bout with the flu in 2003--I had to quit my job later that year due mostly to the persistent anemia that didn't respond...
