  1. Happy birthday and may God bless you today!

  2. Hope this doesn't sound to dumb but is coconut milk actually milk or is it the juice like stuff that you see when you crack open a coconut? Where did you buy the coconut milk your talking about? I would like to find my husband an alternative to dairy milk for things like smoothies. Thanks. Jennifer
  3. Hi. I just wanted to share my sister's story with you. She had the gastric bypass surgery and for the first 2 years everything went fine. She lost over 100 pounds and was very happy. She did have to go to the doctor on a regular schedule in the begining for regular blood work and she had to have some vitamin injections (B12) and she has to take liquid...
  4. Before my husband went gluten free he would sweat a lot and the arm pit area of his shirts was always yellow. Even on dark shirts (like navy or denim it would show a stain). He didn't have any different odor but the yellow stains were very annoying. We were just talking the other day about how this has completely disappeared. Don't know if it was related...
  5. I've been buying the Boar's Head bacon at Publix. It's very good and it states right on the package gluten free and dairy free. Jennifer
  6. Hi Rachel. My husband had bloodwork done at his last routine doctor's appt. and they called back and said that everything was good but his liver enzymes were elevated. The doctor was pretty worried and wanted to have him come back in 6 weeks to recheck and see what other test he would order. I posted on here about it like you did and it seems to be a fairly...
  7. I read on here the other nite that Dixie Lily says there grits are gluten free but I haven't had a chance to call them yet. They have a web site but I haven't checked there yet either. Jennifer
  8. Hi Betty. Hang in there. My husband has been gluten free now for about 5 1/2 consecutive months. He has many days where he feels good (for a celiac) and then he'll all of a sudden have several days to weeks where he feels like crap. I'm assuming it must just be part of the road of healing. When he gets discouraged on the days when he's feeling bad I...
  9. I buy my husband the Green & Black's Organic Chocolate. The package says Dark 70% and another type is Green & Black's Organic Maya Gold. Both are gluten free, dairy free, soy free, and nut free and they can be purchased at Wal-Mart on the candy isle with the other candy. The web site is www.greenandblacks.com and they list all of the food allergy...
  10. Thanks Patti. I was a little confused with the rapid release being on the bottle I picked up. I'm glad I waited could have been an ugly few weeks. Jennifer
  11. Thanks for the help Karen. Unfortunately Shane's are pills not syrup. I'm wondering now if since they only have syrup listed if that means the pill form contains gluten. Guess I know what I'll be looking into first thing in the morning. Thanks again. Jennifer
  12. Thanks for the speedy reply Karen. I think I will pass these on to someone else and stick with the advil. Jennifer
  13. Does anyone know if this is gluten-free and cf? I was positive it was and when I just was on the Delphi list checking on Tylenol I looked for this Promethazine and I couldn't find it. I'm going to call the mfg. in the morning but I was just curious if anyone is using this for nausea and has verified it. Jennifer
  14. Are the Extra Strength Rapid Release Gels the same as the Extra Strength Gel Caps? I bought some and was trying to verify before my husband has to use them and I noticed that it actually says Rapid Release Gels and I've never noticed that before (I guess I picked up the wrong package) so I'm not sure if these are safe and if they have gluten then the headache...
  15. My husband is gluten, dairy and soy free also and I buy him the Helmans Canola Mayo and he really likes it. My question is what kind of Tuna are you buying if your avoiding soy. Every brand I picked up at the grocery store (Publix and Wal Mart) have soy in them. I'm hoping you have found a brand that doesn't use soy because my husband is really missing...
  16. My husband has elevated liver enzymes. His weren't elevated before dx or even right after but they were at this last visit. He was dx last August. His doctor tested him for Hepatitis and he had Ultra Sounds and CT Scans to check for other things going on and since everything else was negative he said its from the Celiac and he'll monitor the levels and...
  17. Thank you so much for the help. Jennifer
  18. Hi everyone. I wasn't sure where this should be posted so sorry if its in the wrong place. I just got a new computer and I don't have the link anymore to the Delphi List and I need to check on something. Does anyone have it handy that could post it for me. Thank you soooo much. Jennifer
  19. My husband had his gallbladder out last August because it wasn't functioning. At the time he was nauseous (all the time non stop), would feel very full after eating just a tiny amount of food (like a handfull of cherrios and he felt like he had been at a buffet gorging), back and forth with D & C and just feeling yucky, he had his gallbladder removed...
  20. Lynne, I'm definately the praying type, and I just said a prayer for you. I will remember you each day in my prayers. Good luck and hope you get some good news. Jennifer
  21. Hi. My husband had elevated liver enzymes at his last doctors appt. This was the first time his were elevated and I'm not sure which ones were eleveated. There are like 3 of them ALT, AST, and Alkaline Phospahtes. He goes back to the doctor in March to have them rechecked and I'm going to request a copy of the reports. I posted a thread about this a...
  22. It could be a reaction to the milk. My husband used to get really sick each time he ate them and then we found out he was casein intolerant also, so that explained it for him. Jennifer
  23. Hi Vincent. My husbands blood pressure had gotten really low since he's been dx with Celiac (actually it was super low before dx and it's now come up and is now just low). His is normally around 100/58 to 100/60. I guess he's weird too Jennifer
  24. Everything looked great, I just wish I could afford the shipping charges to Florida. I was going to place an order because they had several items that were casein free also but the shipping choices were 2 day for 50.00 or next day for 80.00. I was only ordering 2 loaves of bread and a pizza crust to try. If you live in a state on the list the shipping...
  25. You could always make her's at home and bring it to the party then you know its safe and no risk of cross contamination from the graham shells.
