  1. Ok first I am going to say I had major tingling, and pains that sometimes felt like fire and needles in joints, arms, back, legs, hand and feet moved around in waves. Strenuous activity, heat, or sunlight seemed to make it worse. We learned for me a major part of this was Magnesium deficiency, I would suggest a magnesium glycinate in a chealted form from...
  2. There are many articles on beers and even "Gluten Removed" beers not being safe for celiacs and still containing over the 20ppm amount. I would say your celiac friend might be a silent celiac, of those those who has symptoms less pronounced and almost unnoticeable. The immune system I bet is still tearing up his insides when he drinks those, he should have...
  3. I fell in love with EO Shampoos and Conditioners, I love the Kreatain ones for straightening, they also have some for treated and damaged hair.
  4. We all go through this, hell I thought I was going insane and dying before I got diagnosed your not alone there at all, I was even running a bucket list expecting to die in 6 months. Can take a few weeks for it to start to improve you will notice major differences in 2-6 months on a strict gluten-free Diet. Fatigue and anxiety are normally made worse...
  5. Two of my customers have fibomyalgia, they both lead active lives. One of them has talked about how they found taking a bunch of digestive enzymes and having smoothies packed off of fats. protein powders and whole foods has been a life saver. Perhaps see about your levels of different nutrients and see if you have a deficiency. You might have enzyme issues...
  6. Welcome to the forums, Well, you have to be consuming gluten for it to show up in the blood test, at least a cracker or half a slice of bread for 12 weeks on the blood test or 2 weeks on the endoscope. Doubt you want to try a gluten challenge, it is where you try to consume that and then get tested for confirmation. After being gluten-free so long I...
  7. It was a bit more of a questioning statement I had where I mentioned sending it off to get official test done on the forums. I have posted a update on here where I did so. I thankfully held off til the test came back before emailing the company about food poisoning. I only inquired to their production line, where they mentioned they did not certify anything...
  8. Lab results back in is negative, seems I was thrown off by the vinegar and the red coloring, What got me sick that week was something else in my diet I later pinned down. Sorry for the misinformation. I got it checked by watchdog also just to be sure, and it seems it was my mistake. Open Original Shared Link
  9. Yeah I been testing it more, always use a disposable plastic sample fork for loading it. Seems it is very sensitive, will give false positives on certain products, will also clog and error out if there is not enough liquid present in the sample. Has issues with foods high in tannin, acids, bright in colors, or containing vinegar. On the bright side, at least...
  10. Yeah...sorta had a part in that, jeez feel like a ass. Anyway at least it is not giving false negatives. Rather have it go off on trace amounts then miss a contamination. Though it has caused some unnecessary whistle blowing, really am questioning it a bit more now.
  11. Going to say I find a nice blend of Magnesium, Niacin, and B-vitamins works wonders for my energy and fatigue. I take a collagen supplement also that seems to help with joint issues. I have a list of what I take to stay active brand wise. I get most from luckyvitamin or amazon depending on who has the best prices. On a side note, I have to take way above...
  12. https://www.celiac.com/forums/topic/91878-newbie-info-101/ Huge help, I do suggest getting checked for deficiencies, a lot of us end up with issues absorbing nutrients from our foods due to our damaged intestines, common issues are Magnesium, Iron, B-vitamins, Niacin, Folic Acid, Vitamin E and D along and sometimes others. I really do suggest trying...
  13. Going to copy and paste a rant I did quoting multiple people from the community, "Celiac Disease, people tend to think that it is a diet related issue and just gives us a stomach ache, well its not, A LITTLE IS NOT ALRIGHT! Celiac disease is an autoimmune condition and that means the bodies own immune system attacks itself. So anytime we eat even a tiny...
  14. Gloves and a dust mask, would be my suggestion. I know our local store has a girl who is allergic to cilantro, and a few other herbs. She wears gloves while working the checkout.....Yes cilantro allergy where she breaks out in hives form touching it and working at a grocery store in Texas, not exactly a match made in heaven but she seems to have it under...
  15. Just tried out the Nima on some non gluten-free certified hemp protein I got on a good deal. Came back gluten positive, well figured that was to good to be true. Saved me finding out the hard way.
  16. Made without the garlic oil topping, tad drier but only 2 of them made it into a foil pouch for storage, <,< the rest I sorta ate before they even had a chance to cool, BEEN YEARS since I had good cheesy garlic bread and these tasted better then my memory.
  17. Thanks for the support, seems it is mostly kept in check by the same diet I have been doing for years, I just now know why the fruits bug me, and have the peace of mind as to why I had those issues with the blood. SO I guess now I just need to keep off those higher fructose fruits, adding a vitamin C supplement in, and going on about my life.
  18. Vegan Cheesy Garlic Knots 1/2 cup almond flour (60g) 1/4 cup coconut flour (36g) 2 tsp baking powder 1/2 tsp garlic powder 1/4 tsp salt 1 1/2 cups shredded vegan mozzarella cheese sub (6oz) 6 tbsp virgin coconut oil , melted 1/4cup apple sauce 1. 19. Funny my right foot started having extreme pain along the right side from the ball of the little toe down the side then up in and around a area behind the connection to my leg above the heel in that dimple. Could not walk on it at all and had a friend who was a massage therapist look at it and she spent 20 mins getting breaking up crunchies, and getting it...
  20. Well after having on and off bloody stools and, and mucus issues for a few years now, doctors finally diagnosed the cause. Sometimes it would just be a few drops, others it would be globs of mucus and blood, Been trying to get it figured out for awhile and I lost my previous post on it. Sum it up I been having issues with getting the colonoscopy done, partial...
  21. Have you had more blood test since then? Need to see if you numbers are down, you might have it sneaking it somewhere or in something you do not expect, like a soap, seasoning, or having something in the kitchen contaminated like a pot, knife, spatula, blender, etc. I personally have had blood in my stool despite all the issues myself (actually having a...
  22. Yeah used to be great when you could go to a bar and find a safe rum or cider from a brand you trust. Never did like beer as it always made me deathly sick even before diagnosis. Now days I have nervous panic attacks trying to fit in at a bar cause beer has been spilled on everything, and knowing the entire place is CC hazard from hell. Rather just sit at...
  23. People can fail the blood test and still have celiac, the golden standard for the test is the endoscope with biopsy where they take several samples of your intestines and check for villi blunting and damage. You have to be eating gluten at least a cracker or half a slice a bread a day for 12 weeks prior to the blood test or 2 weeks prior to the endoscope...
  24. There is a follow up endoscope with biopsy they will need to do, where they check your intestines for damage. They will go in and take several samples and check villi blunting etc. That confirms your celiac disease. Note you need to be consuming gluten for the test so do not jump on the gluten-free diet just yet. BTW the PTSD like symptoms are one of the...
