  1. Well, I for one adore eating paper towels and toilet paper. Being the sign of the goat it is natural for me to eat anything that doesn't eat me first. You should see me lust after the large packages of paper towels in costco. Yes, they have caught me many times passed out from "TTS (toxic towel syndrome)."

As for shampoos, it is usually us who get DH who have to worry about them they say, but I worry about being glutened if it drips in your eyes or mouth.

Now for my final thing that had me howling because I misread it was "Planters, dust their nuts with flour." Can you imagine what went through my mind? I envisioned people planting things and you surely can figure out the rest.

    I know, I am sick.

  2. Good thing I took my knickers off before I read their garbage.

I actually need them like I need a wrinkle (not the knickers, the cry babies.)

I just had to air my knickers out on this.

I have found it hard to believe on many lists that people are like this but then it shouldn't surprise me. At my job I am constantly listening to people whine about why everything should be for them. It is like running a day care.

  3. A writer's group I have been involved with for many years has got so many people on it who are trying to censure others. I find it strange that a writers who are usually against censorship try to really curtail other people.

Here is the deal, they asked the question as what do you believe. I stated my views on said subject and stated that I personally could not believe said theory but if others wanted to that was fine.

Well some cry baby runs to the owner and said I mocked and belittled them, which I did not. I stated my views and reasons why I personally believed it and ended it. I said it was others perrogative to believe whichever way they preferred. So, 5 months after the fact they are now crying about the fact I do not share their views and my posts should be deleted. Then I get someone going nuts on me.

I thought they were writers and adults. If they said they only wanted people who agreed with them to reply then they should have said so. When someone doesn't agree with me I don't go cry baby all over the place. I take it that some people do not or will never share my views and that if fine.

    This is my little tirade.

So my question is do you expect everyone to agree with you and how would you take it if someone did not share your opinions?

Would you take it to that person or scream to the moderators that you want them to be deleted because you did not like their views on the subject?

Now see me get in trouble for this post.

  4. I'm sorry, I have a very visual and sick mind. I laughed all the way through it and everyone at work here wanted to know what was so funny.

I love the parts about "upsetting the kerosene lamp," "one of the inmates, " and "his mind would give way." Believe it or not in some of the small country newspapers like some of the ones in this province they still write them that way.

I had some of the old girls when I was writing for one of the country news papers freak out because I did not write that way. I told them yes, I did creative writing but that was not what you do in journalism. They still wrote that way and expected that was the way it should continue. The editor and I were trying to change things. There was just too much of; "Aunt Emma Baines and Betty Sue Peters travelled cautiously up the coal train towards the metropolis of Red Deer. They did not accelerate their car over 20 kilometers because of the lack of shoulders and icy conditions. Upon reaching the bustling metropolis of Red Deer they noticed enticing signs in red and green. Giving way to temptation they stopped at the Saan Store to buy various sizes of under panties in assorted colours and then decided to partake of a delicious repast at Patty's Restaurant...blah blah blah"

  5. Srokie, did she tell you if it was B-12 or not that you were not absorbing? All that talk of bread, eclairs, and baquettes started giving me pain.

There is not one of us on this board who can't empathize with how you have felt. I still do not absorbe my B-12 anymore because of this disease so I am constantly taking sublingual B-12's as opposed to shots. I know when I am low in B-12, I get very fatigued.

I am happy when people find out they are Celiac at a younger age. I hate to think of them suffering the decades I and many others have suffered from this disease and the irrepairable damage it has done to us.I am never happy anyone has this disease. It is not an inexpensive or convenient disease to have.

We need our governments to wake up and see how disabling this disease really is, perhaps if some of them had this they would get on board with us in many ways

I have enlarged the font on here in hopes of making it easier on Judy, without the yelling of caps..

  6. I have the Cream Hill Estates (Lara's rolled oats) and Mcanns Irish oats are okay, no ill effects and I am highly sensitive. I do not recommend eating a whole wad at first or you and the bathroom will becom engaged to each other, because of the high fibre in the oats. They are definitely not cheap but I can have my oats again and all is good.

  7. I was there at 11:30 in the morning, 2 pm and in the evening and that place was always full. I am so heartbroken, I was hoping they would put a bigger and better one in the NW with lower tables and chairs. I sent them a very long letter telling them how my family who are not diagnosed Celiacs enjoyed the food also. Plus sent it to my brother and sister-in-law as they are not Celiac but loved the food.

  8. Welcome Srokie, I am also sorry for all the confusion. Remember some times things come across misconscrued over the internet. We were really not trying grill you like unbreaded salmon. We worry because many of us have been through false hopes and decades of torture at the hands of uncaring, misguided, or misinformed doctors. It is better you find out you are Celiac now than 30 years from now.

Once again welcome to the board and we are really a nice bunch of people just a little opinionated and anal about a disease we have to be anal about. There are lots of great recipes and people on this board.

  9. My sister has Raynaud's has not tested positive for Celiac but then they did the test wrong. She also has many of the same issues I have including the dairy issues. I figure if they did things right they would find it. It was the DH that told the whole story for me as they did not want to look further than the ends of their noses and would not do the other biopsies and did the blood test wrong.

  10. Welcome to the board Jacey. There seems to be a correlation between these things and celiac disease. The symptoms of fibromyalgia are very much like Celiac diseasebut considering many of us have these problems also I would say the possibilities are very good.

I figure the reason they haven't matched many of these things up with Celiac disease is the same reason many of us go undiagnosed for so long. Doctors are reluctant to diagnose something that they can't feed you drugs for and some don't believe these conditions exist.
