    Unfortunately some of us who are allergic to the flu shot have to roll the dice on this one. The last flu shot I had put me in the hospital and I was swollen for more than a month. I have managed to fight every flu that has gone around in this building, I hope I will this year too.

    I don't get the flu shots even though I am supposed to because of my asthma etc. I am allergic to them which I suffer more with them than if I had the flu.

    Here is another place to add to your gluten-free list for all the people in Calgary. The Heildleburg House in Calgary (German Canadian Club) does gluten free, and vegetarian meals. They have a German Buffet but you can call ahead and request special meals.

    What I have done so that everyone doesn't think I am on some fad kick diet. I have told them period that I can not have gluten or anything to do with gluten. This is something I have to do for life because of my health. This way they are not going to say, "are you still on that diet."

    I would do it but I have been gluten-free for three day and I have not had the biopsy. They would not want to pay to fly me down there either probably.     I can't see why you couldn't use coconut oil with butter flavor. I like hemp oil too,actually I am addicted to hemp seeds. I usually use the margarine for baking.     I know the owner of the one in Market Mall I am going to ask her about the other flavors. I can't drink the Orange, orange julius it makes me sick but I can drink the strawberry one. I wonder if they put something different into the strawberry one.

    DeHoughs Bon Bons on 16 ave. NE across from Peter's Drive-In is not just gluten-free, but the dark chocolate is DF and he also has diabetic chocolate. Bernard Calebeaut (sp)? All but the Gilbert line is gluten-free Purdy's Chocolates all except for two. Anything with the crisps and one other are gluten-free, dark chocolate is DF.

    I have been told that perogi's are made out of mashed potatoes and I would do some mixing of bean, soy, or rice flour to give it a shot. If I can find someone with the recipe I bet I could change it to fit gluten free.

    I can do accupressure on anyone except myself, I can stop their headaches, pain and clear their sinuses with it, however the best I can do on myself is my sinuses.     Did they say if this test is done like strips like diabetics use? I would think it would be similar to a home pregnancy test.

    Which bread from Anna do you usually get and have you tried her Banana bread one?

    My problem was I did not know I had to eat gluten for a time before having the test. No wonder I have to retake it but with burning stomach and kidney pains with gluten, I don't know if I can do it again. But if I want the diagnosis to be accurate I guess I will have to do it again.

    On Wednesday I am going to order some of Anna's bread mixes and have them sent up to Canada for me. There is also supposed to be a new bakery here that has good gluten-free and DF bread. I have found the same with some bread recipes they are just to crumbly and dry, that I have tried. I have considerable bread recipes but they ask for copious amounts of rice...
