  1. Yeah, gab section is also okay with me, lol.

Well, I know people are ordering from the new site. I ordered from the old site today. I'm still not comfortable ordering from the new one yet, and besides I really want to wait for the kits, so that helps me stay strong, lol. Carina never made a general announcement saying it was okay, but she responded to a lot of the comments in the news section, giving the impression that it was okay. She did say the site was secure, but the issue is with the certificate being recognized...that should change when they go live for real.

  2. Aw Rachel, I hope it doesn't turn out to be anything too serious or costly!

Jin, good to hear from you...sorry it's been rough lately!

Julie...mini coopers...very cute, see my new avatar, lol. The Italian Job was a movie released in 2003...the three main getaway cars are mini coopers. You can fit probably two in a normal parking space (one behind the other).

  3. Andrea, I didn't order full sizes for quite a while...I got lots of the free sample kits first, then got some of the mini personal kits, then eventually (like just a couple of months ago, lol) ordered the full sized kits. If you have enough things to fill a kit, it can be cheaper than buying the six things individually.

I think the mixing bowls are primarily for mixing colors together...but as with most things, they can be used for a lot of stuff. The mixing JARS are huge...I think those were designed for those people who need to mix two foundation shades to get the right one.

  4. I know Paula...the only thing I really NEEDED was the full sized foundation of Sunkissed Fair, but I've been using my silk dust like crazy, so decided to just add two of those to my order, and well, I ordered another full size of my Ginger Peach and Nick Nack....so that only left one spot to fill, lol. I also ordered another one of the soaps to try and another one of the creams...I'm really liking the creams for my feet.

    Here's what I ordered:

Custom Kits: Personal Custom Kit - Full

    eye color: Floating Feathers Large

    eye color: Ginger Peach Large

finishing powder: Tinted Silk Dust Large

blush or face color: Nick Nack

foundation: (Beige) Beige-Sunkissed Fair 8g Matte

    finishing powder: Silk Dust Large

Skin & Body: Green Tea Everyday Everywear

Skin & Body: Grapefruit Lime Peppermint Cleansing Bar

ROFL! I have one!!! I highly recommend it. I've had mine for three years and it's wonderful.

Yeah, I watched "The Italian Job" last night just to dream about it, lol.

Quick question: Does anyone know of an organic bar that is gluten-free (preferably dairy and soy free as well though not necessarily) that has a decent protein-carb ratio and not made with almonds or cashews?

Gosh, don't know off hand...all the ones I eat have one or more of those (except dairy) of those.

    Stupid mainstream Dr.'s.

Now I have to take thyroid meds for life but it probably would have completely resolved on its own once everything got back in balance. :(

    Stupid mainstream docs!

So I realized today that I'm going to be having surgery this week! (Assuming everything goes as planned...) It hasn't hit me yet, but woah! I'm kinda trying to not think about it, but I've never been under general anesthesia before. I've had local, but not general...ahhh!!! :P

Wow! What day is the surgery? I've had general anesthesia a couple of times now...the worst thing that happened was I got nauseated afterwards, but they can give you something for that.

  6. Oooh, lots of excitement in cultville!!!

I see that Andrea has tried and likes our GLUTEN FREE minerals.

I see that a new special is up...must go place an order! :P I was going to wait for the kits to be available on the new site, but there are some things I can get from the old site that will go in a kit. Sheesh, I put everything in my cart at the new site on Friday (ALMOST hit the submit button, lol) and it came to $94. So, definitely I'm going to wait for the kits, lol. Still, I can always use an extra silk dust, and I want a full size of my new favorite foundation, so I think I can fill a kit on the old site, and still have enough left to fill a kit or two on the new site.

I've decided my most favorite look: Any of my four foundations, but probably Sunkissed Fair the most, Nick Nack, Ginger Peach, Gingerbread man as an eyeliner, my brown/black mascara and my plum frost lipstick. Yes, very nice, lol.

There are little stickers covering the sifter holes on the little containers (unless you have the new closeable sifters), believe it or not some of us (me) didn't know this

 yes good point, the stickers are completely invisible--I found them purely by accident, lol. As you have seen the sample jars are very tiny, so I tap out the minerals onto a margarine lid or if you have a slick paper plate you can use that to swirl your brush into the minerals.

Another question......do you gals use lighted makeup mirrors or just your bathroom mirror and lighting?

I've been thinking about getting one, but I've just used the lighting in my bathroom. I have pretty good lighting in there (although NOT natural, lol). I DO have a magnifying mirror to do my mascara and eyeliner because otherwise I will poke my eye. :P

You'll have your answer if you feel better while away from the house...not fun though.

Does anyone know how to copy and paste from a pdf file?? I found some mineral info that sounded pretty interesting, might be helpful, I just don't know how to copy it from the pdf in order to paste it here, other than transcribing the whole thing (which I really didn't want to do)

Do you have a full version of acrobat, or do you only have the reader? You can try saving the PDF as a .rtf file. If it was scanned from a regular document, that might work. Or, the full version has an OCR feature that will "scan" the text and then allow you to grab it. Or, you can send the file to me and I'll do it. :P

Why can't I just take the abx, herx, and improve?! Ugh!!!!

      Rachel--24 said:
Being on abx doesnt guarantee that you'll herx and get better. Some people are taking abx for years and years and still fighting the infection. I dont know of anyone who just has Lyme....however, I do know of alot of people who *think* they only have Lyme and those are the ones who tend to take much longer to recover.

Yeah, this is why my doctor doesn't want me on abx yet...my body would not have been able to handle them with the mold and metals issues. I did three years of abx (not for lyme though) from 2002 to 2005 and I just got sicker and sicker, so doubly now my doc doesn't want to go that route until my body is stronger.

I am sorry you have it. That is such a long time to go untreated. I know my family is full of celiac symptoms, not just me. Is there anywhere on here where you and others wrote down the order of your symptoms? That would be helpful. Also, did you ever have a time where symptoms went away mostly for years? I have read on websites, but know those aren't always how it happens in real life.

I wrote out my symptoms a couple of pages back I think...or was it on the other thread, lol. I had about 47 of the 75 symptoms. I can't give you a timeline of when they happened...they are a mish-mash of symptoms and they come and go in varying degrees of severity. The absolute worst symptoms for me currently are muscle soreness (almost severe), neck stiffness, and my neurotransmitters and adrenals are totally messed up causing all kinds of problems. Anyway, here are my symptoms:

Never saw a tick bite or rash

Of the symptoms listed on the first page, these are the ones I

Wonder if I can get travacor online? I am expiramenting on my mom trying some things to help her sleep. She won't go to the ND and spend any money, especially after the fire. She goes to sleep okay but wakes up in the middle of the night and can't go back to sleep.

You can, but I think you have to be referred by a practitioner. I can order directly from the company, but they have to have an "order" from my doctor. I am fortunate in that I can buy them locally in two places...my LLMD sells them and my BioSET lady also carries them. I was taking TravaCor but my neurotransmitters shifted a bit, so they had me stop that.

I'm taking CalmPRT, Kavinace, AdreCor (or ExcitaPlus) from this company.

  11. Well I still have insomnia. It was getting better and now lately I've been having problems again. I was just retested for neurotransmitters, but haven't got the results back yet.

I think I may ask Dr. S about that blood test when I see him. I had the minerals/metals evaluation, but that was hair and not my head hair either, lol...my copper was 23 and the reference range was 9.0-24, so it was pretty high, but not over the upper number.

Out of that list of foods I eat:

Chocolate (1 tablespoon, pure unsweetened cocoa, and not everyday)

Poultry (lots of turkey and maybe chicken twice a week)

    Nuts (mostly cashew butter)

    Leafy greens

and sometimes a few frozen blueberries
