  1. I only saw the first hour, but I totally agree...Chikezie totally rocked. I LOVED what he did, and he looked like he was having a great time.

I don't mind Ramielle, but her song was boring...it was really pretty but I KNEW the judges would be ho-hum. :P

Didn't see Amanda or Kristie, but HOPEFULLY I've got that recorded to watch today.

  2. Is everyone ready for the Top 12 tonight?

I predict Randy will say, "it was just alright for me, a little pitchy, kind of slow in the beginning, but you worked it out in the end".

And I predict Paula will say: "{insert name}, you are so {insert adjective}. You should be so {insert whatever word of the day proud/happy}". And then change her thought in mid sentence.

  3. I found a nice black jar at Sephora...has the shaker insert and a clear top. I thought I'm mix some of my unused foundations and see what happens, lol. I think that was $4...very sharp looking too. Course, I haven't actually DONE anything with it yet. :P

Well everyone...for those of you who don't have any of the full sized containers yet let me just say that they are HUGE!!! They are quite large around, but very flat. :P My order just came, and so I've happily looked through everything and already have labels on them. I am just amazed at the size of the containers, lol. I also got two flat top brushes...can't wait to try one out.

I think I've got everything just about ready to make my "at work" kit. Could have used it the last few days, lol. Today I ALMOST went au naturel, but at the last minute decided to put on a light application. (need to be at work by 5:00 am today, so wasn't going for anything too involved, lol.) Anyway, I MEANT to put on eyeliner, but completely forgot...fortunately I wasn't too messy with the mascara, so it doesn't look to bad, but if I had my "at work" kit, I could have put some eyeliner on. ;)

  4. HAPPY BIRTHDAY MIA!!!!

Egads everyone...I'm crazy busy these days. I worked a lot of overtime Sunday/Monday and this morning already. Dr. S will be very upset with me.:lol:

Did anyone have a bad reaction to Humaworm?????

Like Carla, I had a rough first few days...maybe about 3 I think, but not bad after that. I called and asked them to leave out the sage since I tested positive to that in an allergy test.

OH Donna that name of makeup you use, what's it called again?. I want to look somewhat decent for easter sunday at church.

I see that Julie and Birdy have answered you re this... It's Everyday Minerals and so far, it's the best I've used.

  5. Donna, your train case looks awesome. It's very organized and beautiful too! I thought you were kidding about labeling the containers, lol. You are the most organized person!

    ...

Ok, I need your valued opinions - Which brush is the best for blush? - the Baby Kabuki or the Angled Blush Brush. I had the BK in my cart, but it is now out of stock.

Thanks...not ALWAYS organized, but in certain things yes, lol.

I'm using the angled brush for my blush...it's working really well. The kabuki brush I have (by BE) is pretty fluffy, and seems to make a softer, gentler application for some things.

Joni, I just use my flat-topped bush to apply my blush. Of course this leads to the problem of having the blush spread all over my face the next time I use it for foundation.

Yeah, I don't use the same brush, but sometimes I forget and tap out some blush on my foundation margarine lid, lol. Hate when that happens.

I want so many things, but at the same time want to save a few items for a future order just to make sure I get that so desired special every time, lol! Tricks of the Trade!

I've used that tactic myself a couple of times...I can't believe I've finally reached the point of not knowing what to order! I'm hoping the new site will give me LOTS of new things to ponder.

Donna love that case!! How did you do the labels? The only thing I hate about EM is the label on the bottom that covers up the color. I would rather have a solid bottom with a label and a see thru top so I could see what color I have!!!

    ...

I think my makeup looks all right but haven't had any comments so it must be right or really horrible and nobody will speak up LOL!!!!!

About the comments...it took a while for people to start commenting. I think they didn't know what was different, lol. People finally started figuring it out and then started commenting. My hair dresser's co-worker just did that to me. She was staring at me, and said I looked great, and after about 5 minutes of staring said "I know, you're wearing makeup"

I'd LOVE it if they would make clear tops on the EM jars...I think I read somewhere that either that was a suggestion or they are considering it. I just went to Walgreen's and picked up a couple packages of stick on labels...round colored dots and plain small white labels. I wrote each color name, and in the case of foundations, wrote the category (i.e., cool, buff, beige) as well as the name because sometimes the names are similar to other categories.

  6. I know were you need to put the b-12, in your em pink case lol. Since you always have time to put your makeup on lmao.

  That'll do it! Or maybe I'll use the first pink caboodles box for it.

Donna...I forget my B12 shots a lot of times too, lol! I guess injecting myself isn't memorable enough! LOL!

 Must be true for me too, lol.

Donna you could always make a spreadsheet and color code your syringes and other paraphenalia for the shots as an extra reminder

 A spreadsheet...why didn't I think of that! OR at least color coding. :P

I dont know if theres anything more traumatic then having real-life friends find this thread!!

But yeah....it was FUN!! Laughter is just as healing as PINK!! :D

I do searches now and then to try to locate scientificness from previous pages....its always freakin hilarious when I end up in "Rachelville Gone Wild"!

It was a really fun time, lol. I have some co-workers here with Celiac and one of them told me about this site, and while I don't think she posts here, the possibility is always there, lol, so I try to keep specifics about work very vague...although if they saw my picture they'd definitely recognize me.

  7. Now to try more blushes!

One can NEVER have too many blushes! Oh wait, that's eyeshadows...oh wait, that's makeup. :P

Who thinks the special will change tommorow lol. Im betting the 15th lol. My cart is alll ready i just need to hit send lol.

Yeah, I agree with Julie...for some reason I had the 15th in my head regarding the special. We'll see...the way they've been going it probably won't change until the end of the month.

    That's a beautiful case, Donna :D

Thanks...I'm LOVING it! Makes me feel all girlie.

Thanks, Donna. I think I'll order some more sunlight concealer then. I measured my kabuki handle. It's 1 1/2 inches long. The one in their picture now looks so stubby with hardly any handle.

Love the new case you bought. I hope you're feeling better now.

Thanks! I bet you must have the old kabuki. The long handled kabuki handle isn't all that long, but I think it's longer than 1 1/2".

  8. I've used the multi-tasking concealor a couple of times. I like it well enough, although I tend to use sunlight the most. The multi-tasking is a more natural color...more like a foundation color.

Yeah, I wasn't loving the eyeshadow brush which is why I went on a spending spree at Sephora for eyeshadow brushes.:lol: The bristles are a little to stiff for my taste.

I just ordered the flat top, so don't have it yet, but if it's anything like the long handled kabuki, I'll love it. Did you order the long handled kabuki...I DO think they changed the regular kabuki at least once though.

  9. It's funny because I've always thought I had a thyroid problem, but I've been tested by conventional doctors, alternative doctors, and the HN doctors which are sort of in between. I'll have to look at the actual numbers tomorrow when I get home. It was sort of satisfying to see that ART says the lyme is majorly affecting the thyroid. That was the organ most affected by it...that and the head, lol.

Thanks for the info nyxie, carla and julie!

Re the shots, lol. Last week, I remembered at 5:00 at night...a little too late to take it. :P

Today I remembered after I was here at work...I won't be home until 9:00 at the very earliest and most likely later than that, so it won't be happening today. I actually meant to take it on Friday when I was home early, but completely forgot until the afternoon. I guess I need to put the stuff in a more prominent place...it's on my counter in my livingroom, but I guess it's not quite visible enough, lol.

  10. I have the same picture, lyme, thyroid, adrenals. What are you taking for adrenals again?

My thyroid always tests normal on conventional tests too

I'm taking so many things, I've lost track of what is for what, lol. I think all the Neurosciences stuff I'm taking either directly or indirectly supports adrenal and neurotransmitters.

I think I'm taking the B12 injections (which I've forgotten two weeks in a row now, don't ask how that's possible, lol), for this too.

I'm not taking it anymore, but the HN doctors had me on something called Support Adrenals, and basically, it was just a B complex/multivitamin, with a few extra things.

I'm taking something from Neurosciences called AdreCor, which I think is mostly herbal stuff, not so much vitamins.

I think I'm taking pregnenelone which is a precursor to some of the adrenal things.

I'm taking L-Tyrosine, but not sure exactly what that supports, but it's connected to the neurotransmitter/adrenal issue.

  11. Boo on the blood pressure and body temp, did they give you any idea what that could be from?

It's probably adrenals. The lyme is also affecting my thyroid (so ART has said the two times I was tested), but the thryoid tests normal. So, that's why she wants to retest me...she's thinking the adrenals are not up to where they should be yet.

I didn't feel well the last 2-3 weeks and a few times thought I had a fever...when I took my temp it was 95.6, and this was when I was up and about...not just after waking up. :(

  12. Hello everyone...I've been reading along too, but it's been so danged busy at work I can't post much. I'm at work now, just waiting for the onslaught of work that supposed to be happening...I've been here for 2 hours so far and not one single thing from these guys. I just KNOW they're going to wait until I'm ready to go home to give it to me.

I had some appointments on Friday with my HN doctors. I saw the internist who is the one who has been testing me for adrenal/neurotransmitters. This was just a follow-up but we discussed a couple of things. My really low blood pressure and body temp is back. :( She wants me to NOT drink too much water, and wants me to eat more salt, lol. I told her if I eat any more salt, I'll pickle myself.

Anyway, she is retesting me for the neurotransmitter/adrenal stuff just to see where we are, and she's also testing me for the bacterial stuff (yay, my friend the stool test is back).

Then I saw the physical therapist. Um, this was the most excrutiatingly painful session I've ever had. He barely touched my back and it sent me to tears. He was just amazed that usually he can burrow his elbow into me with no problem, but the thumb was causing major pain.

Then I saw the chiropractor. Told him about the painful PT session, and the pain in my neck has been worse too. He asked me what I'm doing differently, but I couldn't think of anything except the detox and lyme stuff Anna put me on. I did tell him it was busier at work and in life in general because of the refinancing, etc. (the pain in my neck is on the left side). When I sleep on my right side, it sometimes causes bad pain in the left side of my neck. He asked what I do with my left hand...the only thing I do is carry my purse on my left shoulder. So, he wants me to NOT carry my purse on the left side, and he wants me to use a pillow to support my left arm when I sleep on my right side (so it doesn't stretch down to the bed).

So, my condo closed tomorrow, and I should be funded by the end of the week. Once that happens I can pay off my stupid bills, then hopefully save some money pretty quickly to get the carpet out.

That's it for me until Saturday...I have another BioSET appointment on Saturday.

  13. Okay girls...ping pong eye color looks really nice as a blush too, lol. Very subtle. I decided to wear that as an eyeshadow and it looked so pretty in the jar, that I swiped my cheek with the eyeshadow brush...then a little more, then a little more. Did both cheeks with one of my new brushes. I later followed it up with just a touch more with a real blush brush.

Mom said that I looked even better this week. Both mom and auntie agreed that it makes me look brighter and peppier. They are used to seeing me exhausted and pale. :P

    I  my new brushes!

I forget is this the one that had room for your expanding collection of EM??

Pretty much. It's not all in there...I weeded out the stuff I won't wear much, so what's in there is the stuff I'll wear most often. There is enough room in there for double layers of the sample sized containers, so if I wanted to I could get it all in there.

Omg that case is so cute lmao. I need to take pics of mine i guess and post them, since yours is so much organized then mine. I even lost my pink pajama eye shadow and im mad lol.

I even dreamed about shopping for brushes last night, i really need a new hobby lmao

 Where could your pink pajamas be?!

and BOO, about all the pain you went through at your appt.

Yeah, not sure what was up with that, but the PT guy was so amazed because he can usually go so deep with his elbow. I can stand pretty heavy pressure, but this was just so weird. After I discovered my mascara on the headrest, I didn't want to put my face back down, lol. I was afraid I was going to get mascara on my blushy checks.

  14. I LOVED my magic bullet! In fact I've purchased three. I keep breaking them (it's a long story, lol). I do intend to buy another one, but first I'm trying out a similar type of attachment for my oster blender (that I just bought because I broke my blender (another long story, lol) after I broke my last magic bullet.

I don't cook, so no real recipes, but I used mine mainly for smoothies...very convenient and the clean up is so much easier than dragging out the big blender and taking it apart to clean.

  15. Cheri, yay on the compliments!! As far as blush... I pretty much really like all the ones I've purchased, the only two I haven't been crazy about were the two free samples. Anytime is too light for me, but I think I can use it on my eyes. I think my top favorites are still Pink Ribbon and Nick Nack, but the others aren't far behind.

I think we should post this in the "get this look" section of the EM site. Or maybe not.

    ...

or darker than a drag queen after visiting the tanning salon.

I just experienced something extremely horrifying. I thought I just lost half my EM collection. :o omg thank god I finally found it safe and sound.

:o whoa, even scared ME!

If I had said fan brush I could test this technique out for us, kind of like a guinea pig :P

Okay, okay, I'll try it with that darned mojave camping stuff and see.

And what about Donna, i thought she had the day off and was going to play with her EM and train case :lol:

Yes, had the day off, but the reason I had the day off was for a doctor, physical therapy and chiropractice appointment. They're all in the same place but I was there for a couple of hours. So, my makeup was FANTASTIC today...was in love with my face for a change, but unfortunately my body wasn't liking physical therapy today, it was so painful that I started crying a bit...darned if I wasn't face down with my face smushed into one of those headrest things. When I picked my head up, my mascara was all over it, lol, and unbeknownst to me at the time...all over my eyes.

We won't talk about THAT look. Can you say RACOON! :P

So, naturally I had to treat myself after that torture session, and stopped at Sephora for more brushes (actually I had planned to do that whether or not I had been tortured, lol). And, naturally had to buy a couple of lip glosses.

And, played with my EM and train case last night. Pictures were taken. :P I'm just waiting for my stupid computer to quit virus scanning because uploading pictures is slooooooowwwww enough on my dial up connection without the virus scanning going on.
