  1. Sheesh, what are we going to do in a month or two once we've ordered everything there is to order.

Thank you for the review!! I bought the Premium Foundation Brush in my first order and I didn't like how it worked - too stiff. I think I'll give it another try!

I think the trick was to keep it light handed and keep it moving, lol. It could also be that I put the brush down on the spot that needed the most coverage, lol.

Anyone have any real complaints or any products that they really don't like at all? Overall, I can't say there is anything that is totally awful or can't work in some other capacity.

I can't think of anything I didn't like that couldn't be used in some other way that I did like. The closest thing has been the spring pink lip gloss...for some reason the color just doesn't look on me. But, I can put another color over or under it and it will look good (and I do that frequently with a lot of my lip colors) so that isn't enough to keep me from wearing it.

  2. Cool that Dr. H does the CD57....I always like to see where people are at going into treatment...its interesting. So far I think CD57 counts have correlated pretty well with symptoms...going by those who have been tested in this thread.

Mine was a 78....my symptoms are mostly unrelated to Lyme. :)

My Dr. wants to see the number well over 100 before we stop treating.

Yeah, mine was 84, and I too think it correlates well with how each of us was with symptoms. I wasn't as sick as most were here. Even though Lyme is a major stressor on my body, I believe that a lot of my symptoms are caused by mold and metals.

6 weeks later, he became septic from a hospital induced bacterial infection.

I can't help thinking that he died from all the interventions. And I am scared to death to ever set foot in a hospital again, or ever bring my children to one.

Can any of you shed any light on this for me?

I'm so sorry...that is so very sad. I don't know as much about the lymph system as I should, but my neck nodes haved been swollen for several years up until just recently. On my last regular physical last year, my lymphocytes were low, and all the ART testing I've had done has shown infections, both viral and bacterial. All my stool testing (recently) has also shown bacterial infections. I think we're finally getting a handle on the infections by supplementing and I've been doing a lot more bouncing on the rebounder. My PT also gives me massages in that area to help drainage.

I am just really sad that the answer for most doctors always seems to be to take stuff out rather than trying to find out why.

  3. I just got the mail and I got my test results from Dr. H's office for the C D-57.

Guess what?!??! It was 24!!!!!! My mom started to cry because she was so relieved in a strange sense. ;) I'm so happy in a weird sense because it's another test to prove that something really *is* going on!

Donna, I guess you can add my results too! :)

Does anyone know these other results mean:

    Neutrophils: 69 (38-63)

    Lymphs: 23 (27-47)

Added your number...must remember this time to add it to the spreadsheet at work, lol.

I don't know what the other stuff means...wonder if that was on my report.

Okay, just looked at my report. My Lymphs was exactly the same as yours 23 but my range was 14-46

    My neutrophils was 71 (40-74)

  4. Years ago when I worked in produce my friend was pumping...she would then put the bottles right there in the produce cooler. I would get all freaked out cuz her breastmilk was sitting right next to my lunch!

Okay, yeah, that MIGHT bother me too, lol. I see signs all the time on stuff in our fridge that says NOT to disturb or throw away...makes me wonder what's in there, lol. We DO have 4 other celiacs in my office, so I am NEVER tempted to look.

Last night I did 5 minutes of an exercise video and about 30 seconds on a stair master that we have at home. Last time I did the stair master, I woke up in the middle of the night with excruciating hip pain, but not this time! :P It could have also been the anti-nausea med, which is a sedative also...I may have slept through the pain.;)

Woo hoo, progress! Oh, Kassandra...I think I have over 200 exercise videos! I rachel EVERYTHING.:ph34r:

Kassandra about the mini trampoline, they have them at walmart this week for 20 bucks. I was thinking of getting one, im not sure if it would do me any good cause i probably done have lyme, but i thought it would be ood exercise anyway. We have a big one outside, but its too cold for that and it has 5 inches of snow on it lol.

Bouncing is good for a lot of things...anything that involves the lymph system. It keeps the lymph system in good working order.

I suppose since I spend so much time in the IV room that I'll be meeting lots of people as I continue to go. Maybe if you ever need IV's you can schedule on the same days...that would be fun! :)

...and I'm pretty sure you wouldnt let me fall asleep!

By the time I'M ready to have IVs you'll probably be done, lol. :P Although I MAY get to do a provoked challenge in February, is that just a shot, or is it an IV? If that involves spending more than 5 minutes there I'll see if I can get in on a day you're there, lol. Course if I have to pee in a cup every few minutes, that might not make for a good conversation. :P:lol:

Let's hope I don't PUT you to sleep!

  5. Ha, Colleen...I've got two kits in my shopping cart (the mini eyeshadow and the mini personal) and I think I've changed them at least 20 times, lol. I also had to put in another free kit too...decided I need to try my favorite foundations in Matte now, lol.

So today was a play day...no where to go and nothing to do, but I decided to play with my brushes.

Premium Foundation Brush - I just couldn't see how this would work...I'm used to a really big fluffy brush for foundation, and this looked so small. Well, it actually worked VERY well. I'm really surprised. I thought for sure it would clump the foundation all in one place, but it didn't seem to do that at all. I DO think it might use a little more product, but I also think it does a better job of coverage on the first pass, so maybe that evens out. I almost didn't need concealer on my spots!

Eve Brush - Wasn't sure I'd like this either, but surprisingly I did. I used it for applying blush and it did a very nice job. I still like the kabuki brush a little better for this application, but I did like it.

Eyeliner - Very nice. Works the same as the BE brush I have...maybe a little better because I think it's a little finer line.

Angled Brow - This is the one that comes with the mini eyeshadow kit. I don't like it for applying eyeshadow, but I do like it for applying and softening/smudging eyeliner. I suspect it will work very well for brows as well.

Fan Brush - I couldn't imagine what I would use this for, but after applying the eyeliner I had the always present flakes of eyeliner on my check bones...I usually just wipe it off with a tissue, which almost always leaves a little black streak right at the stupid dark circle line, lol. I used this fan brush to brush off the flakes and they all came off without streaking! Very pleased. The brush is VERY soft even over the eye area.

Still to try: the lip brush, but can't imagine that wouldn't be good, lol.

I also tried Thank You eye color as a blush. It looked pretty dark pink in the jar, so I decided to try it as a blush and it worked very well.

I tried Smokey Eyeliner...love it. I also put on some Comfy. This is very smokey brown when put on as an eyeshadow, but looked to be a bit more sparkly and coppery when I tried it as an eyeliner. Maybe a little darker than Gingerbread Man.

So that's it...I'm pretty much done playing with my stuff. I need more stuff. I just have the lip brush and the black eyeliner to play with still...but that seems like it'd be just like the BE stuff. :P

  6. It's interesting .... I've only bounced on it a little as my lymph system hurts some when I do. My herx this month is significantly worse than it has been lately and my lymph nodes hurt all down my neck, back and chest. My neck is swollen ... visibly swollen. I've never had these symptoms ... the herx symptoms, yes, but not these others.

I guess my lymph nodes are pretty backed up, huh?

This has got to help, right? I've been taking chlorella again to help detox this out.

It should help. Make sure you bounce gently at first and just do shorter periods of time, then eventually work up to longer times. If I'm feeling badly, I bounce so that my feet don't leave the mat...they call that healthbouncing and it's just as good for the lymph system. My lymph nodes in my neck were swollen for several years until just recently!

So yeah...if you're with the baby all the time I could see how it would be easier...but OMG...the whole "pumping" at work thing...I dunno....that scares me.

Hey, you've had an orange jug in the refrigerator...pumping should be a piece of cake. :P:lol: Sorry, cracking myself up again.

I don't really see what talking about it is going to do. Its been 9 months, 10 doctors and I don't think anyone has a clue. I think I am going to stop wasting my time and money on eastern and western medicine, I really don't see the point.

I'm so sorry...yeah, I think a lot of us here have been to that point of frustration. Just don't give up hope that you'll be able to find that right one.

I got really lucky because all of my Dr.'s were pretty much handed to me...and that saved me alot of time...

Um, yeah, me too, lol. Thanks Rachel!

  7. I think it's 1000mcg which is probably the same as 1 mg. Not positive about this but I am taking 1000mcg doses twice a day. Seems to have helped. Today is the first day in two weeks a haven't woken up with vertigo and brain fog. I'm actually taking one of the doses while using the Elyptical machine as strenuously as possible for 1 hour. I personally believe heavy exercise helps to mitigate alot of my issues.

Oh yeah, that makes sense, lol. I take mine twice a day too (or I did before I started the shots). I think the B12 has helped me a lot...I've been taking it since April of last year.

Exercise is crucial for me, lol. My doctors have sort of restricted me from doing it too intensely (an adrenal issue), but it's intense enough, lol.

  8. Donna,

Wow! 2 Pages! My LLMD just told me I needed them and sent me on my way...lol! I must say though, they are getting easier. I don't panic for as long anymore. Actually today I swabbed the area and then just injected it, right away, without panicking, lol.

Today actually I had a weird thing happen, I got a bubble of the medicine that came out of my skin, it was strange. It looked almost like it didn't go in all the way or something...strange. ;)

Ohh, the bubble thing sounds a little weird! Yes, I have two pages of instructions and a third page which is a diagram!

Donna, my doc had me work up to 10 drops in the morning, and eventually add ten drops in the evening. I didn't have any trouble so went up a drop 2-3 days I think it was, and then ended up with a MAJOR herx. After that I backed off LOL. Went up a drop every week or two.

The samento was very effective for me, so I guess that is why.

Great thanks! I'm not sure if I want to work up too high...I should have had Denise test it yesterday, but forgot to ask.

What kinds of supplements or other ways does everyone do for liver support?

Anyone ever have pain in the liver area?

I'm not sure where the liver is in my body, but I got pains all over so maybe, lol. My liver came up yesterday in my testing as one of the stressed organs, so I probably SHOULD be taking something. I'm not sure which of my supplements are for the liver anymore though.

I figure there's no reason to waste some perfectly good juice on something that yucky. :P

  9. Yay, Colleen got to play!!! I'm almost as happy as you are, lol.

I only have two of the blushes - Apple and Girls Day. I'm so afraid of blush and that I'll look like those old ladies who blot two dark, heavy circles of blush on their faces. I guess I should face my fears and go head on and order some more blush . . . . well, maybe I will

Dang, wish YOUR order would come too! Don't be afraid of the blushes. If a shade was ever too much, you could always mix in a little foundation to lighten it up.

  10. Is emergen-c safe to take on the diet, i was thinking of getting some cause its gluten free?

I think it may have sugar in it...some of them do, but not sure if they have an unflavored one.

I haven't forgotten about posting the diet thing, but I'm looking at it and it's much longer than I remember, so I may wait until Monday so I can scan it at work. :P

Also, I think it was you that asked about the turkey sausage...the brand is Shelton. I finally found the patty style today, it's just turkey, sea salt and spices (but gluten free).

  11. Had a BioSET appointment today. We finally did MIASMS!!!!! Yay, lol. Quite a few came up, but I can't remember them all...I know I wasn't shocked with most of them, but the one I WAS shocked with was Cholera! :o Don't know exactly what that means, just know cholera isn't good, lol. Also coming up was vacines and cell metabolism. My list of things affected was very short today though, but the two biggies came up: neurotransmitters and sinuses. :P

I mentioned insomnia, so she tested me for that and it came up too. It was really fun today because Denise was training a doctor (don't know what kind of doctor though, lol)! Denise would explain to him when something weird came up, so that way I got to get an explanation too, lol. They were both happy that I insisted on stopping my allergy shots, lol. :P

Egads, I better hurry...torrential downpour and we just had big thunder. :o

I decided to get some Samento today. I intend to start very small...like 1 or 2 drops maybe twice a day. Carla...any special things to note about taking this...like should it be taken with meals, away from other stuff?

When I got to Dr. S.'s I parked in a spot away from the building. I noticed a small tree branch in my spot. I look up and theres a big tree....I decided to park close to the building. :P

I parked next to you again, lol!

I'm driving home today...I'm kind of worried about what I might find.

Hope everything is okay...hope you got home okay, lol. It's been raining really heavy for about 2 hours now, and we've had off and on thunder...not sure about lightening since I've been indoors except for the drive through the torrential downpour on my way home from BioSET.

That's interesting. They didn't give me any instructions other than "insert into the buttocks at a 45 degree angle." Lol! I think it would have freaked me out if there was more info...lol.

    ...

I have been having the most vivid nightmares!!! Ugh, they are terrible, and terribly real for some reason! Ahh, they are so scary!

Yeah, there are TWO pages of instructions! :o I have a feeling it's not as complicated as it seems, but sheesh, lol.

I am fortunately NOT having as many vivid bad dreams as I used to but yeah, I've had them. Once I dreamt I was in a house and a huge tidal wave came through...I could see it coming but couldn't get out of the house...it was like slow motion as the wave came through the house. Mostly my dreams are epic action mini series type things...they go on and on and I frequently dream of cloak and dagger type of stuff. Weird, lol.

Anyone know of any mold test kits I can pick up?? For some reason I thought they have some at Home Depot??

Yeah, I ordered the test plates from the place Scott references on his website. They were EXPENSIVE!! But the cost includes analysis. I got 5 plates and set them around in the different rooms. They have a culture medium in them, and once you close them up and mail them off the mold will grow on the medium. My livingroom was the worst at 10 (their scale only goes to 9, lol), with CANDIDA of all things!

Mold can sure cause a lot of issues that's for sure. Sounds suspicously like your friend's child could be suffering from it.

I think it's from Dr. B's guidelines...not sure, I got it from LN. I thought it was interesting because I know some of you said you had done the shots and had no changes in urine coloring. Hmm..? Maybe the dosage wasn't high enough?

Yeah, mine didn't turn pink or red after either shot. I just had the shot yesterday and ever saw red. I'll ask them next time I go in.

Im thinking im going to call and see if i can find an mold test here, waht exactly are they called.

Mine were just called mold test plates.

When we lived out in the country, we were literally the second from the last house on the power line. The next house over had their power coming from a different city entirely than we did.

As a result, we were always the last to get our power back on. We had propane, so we still had our stove (which didn't use power), but nothing else .... including WATER! We were on a well, so the pump didn't work if it was off. We could get water from the pond to flush the toilets (a pretty decent walk, so we'd have the boys bring buckets up to the porch), and if it was summer, we could bathe in the pond ... that was kind of fun ... very clean water, BTW.

Now we're on the same block as the fire station ... we get our power back on first if it goes off at all. :)

Yeah, when I lived in Hawaii, we had this huge hurricaine...knocked my power out for a couple of days, but on the second day the people across the freeway had lights!!!!

Now, I'm just down the street from the fire and police stations (and city hall, lol), so yeah, when power goes out in this area, we get our back fairly quickly. Unless of course, the transformer behind our building blows up, lol. That happened and we didn't have power for 36 hours...they'd put in a new transformer and it would blow up. Kind of exciting, but darned annoying at the same time. :P

  12. Well, it kind of looks like war zone around here...okay, I exaggerate, but it's pretty messy out there. There is another huge tree down across the street...one fell last year in nearly the same location...just on the other side of the street. As I drove down the street to go grocery shopping I saw another good sized tree down...fortunately THAT one was in a parking lot.

My mom said her power didn't come on until 8:30 last night...so it was out for over 9 hours. Fortunately for them, they have a gas stove, so they can still cook and heat water and stuff like that.

  13. YAY! My double quotes are working :D ! I didn't have a chance to ask why I couldn't do it. I just tried one more time and it worked!!!

Woohoo, welcome to the double quote club! :P

My order came!!!!! I am so excited. I have to go cook dinner for the hungry family, but guess what I will be doing when the kids go to bed tonight. Trying on new makeup, of course!

    YAYAYAYAYAYAY!!!!!!

You know, I tried the premium foundation brush today with an intensive foundation. It worked really well. But I think it was because I had a lid to tap off all the extra makeup into, and that made it so it didn't cake on all in one spot. If the intensive doesn't cake, it must be a good brush. I'll try it again tomorrow, but I think it actually does a nice job.

Oh okay, I'll try it, lol!

As much as I hate to post anything non-EM  , I think you would like this place, Joni:

    Open Original Shared Link

You can buy single ingredients and pigments and they give you basic recipes so you can create our own shades. It sounds kind of complicated, but fun :D

I will NOT look, I will NOT look, I will NOT look...oooh, too late, I think I have to look. :P

  14. Ingredients

Sorbitol, Mannitol, Natural Raspberry Flavor, Natural Peach Flavor, and Magnesium Stearate.

The Sorbitol and Mannitol are my problem ingredients. Those tend to give me gatrointestinal issues more than mental ones though. I got my second B12 injection yesterday, and so far so good and no intestinal issues either.
