  1. I'm so far behind, don't think I can catch up...kind of going through some weird trippy thing today.

Lisa - I'm just so concerned for you and don't know what to do, but please just hang in there.

Susie - I'm so sorry to hear about the MRI results! I agree with what everyone has said before me...we're all here for you...please feel like you can be yourself here!

Andrea, this is my biggest issue - right here. Along with my kidney condition comes extreme LDL numbers. My cholesterol has been as high as 575 total. It's very typical. Oxidation and Free Radical issues go hand in hand with what I have. I'd like it to just go away. I feel like a ticking timebomb.

I suspect that a lot of my problems started when I was a little kid. I was hospitalized in a Isolation unit for 2 weeks when I was 2 years old with a strange strain of the Herpes Virus.

    Wow! :(

It would be August 5-18th. All travel expenses paid (flight and hotel) and a stipend for food. Apparently they treat you very well. At the end of the trip we have the opprtunity to travel to Jeju island and go to a lotus festival and visit Tokyo and Kyoto on the way home. So more likely a 3 week trip.

There is NO doubt that this is an incredible opportunity but the question is, between the lengthy travel and teaching, am I asking too much of my body? I put in a call to my Lyme doc and will call my primary but you guys know me better than them (much more details- probably too many).

I want you my dear citizens to weigh in- is this even reasonable to consider? What do YOU think I should do? I would love to go but I don't know if my immune system is up for this.

Thank you all in advance- I consider you my official council (ha and counsel!)

Well, I know what I would do, but not sure it's the right thing. :P I went on my vacation in December on that Panama Canal cruise and then to Disneyworld. I was feeling bad before we left and I told my friend that I would need to rest a lot...somehow I didn't get to rest enough though. I think that was one reason why I got so sick when I got back...had to take a whole week off of work after that. I had just had half my amalgams out and was already feeling bad anyway. I just got worn out. So...I'm glad I went, and would probably do it again personally (especially if it were someplace I hadn't been before), but would most certainly get sicker afterwards.

My friend tried to understand, but she's used to hyper Donna, so the worn down sluggish Donna was new to her and she didn't know what to do. So, if you aren't able to take a break when you need it, well, that might not be the best thing right now.

I think this is what my doctor was trying to tell me last week when he said he didn't want me to take on any extra work. I think he's afraid that I can't recover from any kind of stress to my body, and I think he may be right. So be honest with yourself like others have said, and decide if the risks outweigh the benefits or vice versa.

Sorry, that was sort of disjointed and rambling wasn't it...having an off day today. :P

ok i have not posted that much becasue for some reason i cannot get on to this site from my house right now- very frustrating. but i have some kind of big news. I got test results back and on one stool test- one is still pending- they found yes lots of candida and an AMOEBA!!! I named him Gus.

The bigger one though is i got my metal toxicity test- and this is a huge problem for me it turns out. elevated were- CAdmium, Lead, mercury, nickel and tin. Lead went into very elevated along with aluminum.

I had my first chelation today and will be going once a week. It has made me feel really bad right now and I am only doing 1/3 of the normal dose becasue he know i am so sensitive. I don't feel like i can wirte that much right now but i just wanted to tell everyone the news

    Miamia

OMGosh, an amoeba named GUS!!! Wow, chelation! Wow! I'm so sorry you are feeling bad. How does one get an amoeba?!

I can't stop going poop. It's not diarrhea just normal don't float poops. THey just won't stop coming out all day today and yesterday. I must have been really backed up.

Well, I'm glad you are getting cleaned out! Hopefully that will help you feel better!

  2. Oh heck, I'm just going to retype my metals report, lol...can't go back any more! This report shows everything except silver as being below the reference range, but my doctor thinks this is just because my body is not able to release it. This was hair analysis and because I dye my hair this was the unmentionable hair, lol...that is less accurate than regular hair. I think at some point he'll do a challenge, but we're not ready to chelate yet so no point in doing it yet. My total toxic representation was mentioned in the report, but there was no score attached to it...the doctor had it X'd though, but I can't remember what he said about it--it was below the 68th percentile though...have no idea what that means. More off balance were my essential elements scores.

  3. And as u all may have inferred, my SJ trip was spectacular!

Definitely moving back. But maybe a month in Portland 1st. (Don't tell my sister yet! hehe :) )

    Well, very cool!

    hey all

does anyone know when people posted about their metal toxicity results-I am scared to go back

I posted mine somewhere around the 3rd week of May...I think my appointment was the 22nd or 23rd, so it would have been the day or two after that. I'll look and repost.

I got my copy of the stool test today. Overgrowth of klebsiella and citrobacter. No E. Coli or Bifidobacterium, which is BAD. None at all.

I had no parasites, which is good. Very low yeast, just a 1 with 4 being bad. It is NOT candida, just yeast. I guess they didn't do a candida test.

I've been reading online about this stuff and many of my symptoms point to this problem. It seems very strange that the GI didn't pick up on this.

I'm not surprised, my GI didn't find the HPylori or the Klebsiella either. I'm glad it's pretty good news though...why don't they test for candida? None of my doctors have tested for candida...I don't get it, lol.

and the camry is now mine. a wonderful addition to the family ;)

Congratulations on your new addition!!!

Did I post about the incredible kids on the way to SJ? I brought a book, newspaper, mp3s but was too busy yappin' w/ a 14 & 15 yr old instead! The 14 yr old girl had written a book!! Her brother was quite accomplished also. Laughin & talking interesting things the whole way. The boy actually told ME things about space travel I hadn't know (or hadn't remembered - and I almost majored in astronomy!)

I never sit next to anyone interesting...I can meet and talk to the most interesting people in waiting rooms, but not on flights where it would be more appropriate, lol.

  4. I'll be able to be like Tom and get online anywhere on my phone!!! Adam got me an iPhone. B)

Wow! My friend (who I travel with all the time) sent me a couple of ebay listings...one was over a million dollars and one was right at a million...we thought it was nice that they threw in free shipping. You know, until Friday, I'd never heard of iPhone--our firm has decided to NOT go to iPhone this year...they're going to stick with blackberry until the new features come out on the iPhone next year! Course I won't get one but might get a discount on one.

I need to get out more (or maybe just watch the news more, lol). :P

  5. I vaguely remember the thread, and as I recall, only one person was critical of the person's descriptions. Several others weighed in supporting her and letting her know that it's perfectly fine to talk about bowel movements and whatever else she had going on.

If we're talking about the same thread, the person was not left thinking she had done something wrong at all. I wish I could remember enough detail to do a search, but I don't.

    Well, THAT's good to know!

  6. I don't think she knows really about the gluten issue. We never brought it up. I do believe I am sensitive to it just because of the mercury.

I am just scared to even try.

Definitely do NOT try any that has wheat germ in it!!! That would be very bad! Make sure you tell her about the gluten issue and that you can't have it in any form.

  7. Hi SusieQ, I see you...Hope your back isn't suffering too much from the hectic weekend you had!

    HEY!!!!

How come they WORKED that time??

How come the dude with the sunglasses doesnt work when I want to use him in my post?? Its happened several times...but my last post....they worked fine??

    WTH is going on??

and...NO....I have not started eating the Big Macs already.

Maybe it was just scared by the thought of Big Macs! :P

Hi Jin, I met with this dentist today. Yes, he gives oxygen to the patient, but he doesn't vent the vapors. He wears a respirator, but for the patient, they just take a regular dusk mask, and turn it upside down to cover your nose and eyes  . I thought that was pretty hokey, to be quite honest.

He did tell me something very interesting. He said the best thing I could do for dental health and pregnancy was to improve my gums, NOT take out my amalgams. He did a cursory exam of my gum health. I didn't care for him to do the whole thing because it hurt. He said that gum disease is an indicator for fertility and having a healthy baby. I do need to be better about flossing, as I'm very sporadic with it. He thought he could remove all my amalgams in one visit, but I would do it in two. He also found some cracks in my teeth with the fillings that my other dentist missed last month.

I don't know if I would go with this guy after seeing his office. He seemed knowledgeable enough, but he didn't have any special equipment for amalgam removal besides oxygen, a different kind of tip to section the fillings in large pieces, dental dam, and a respirator for himself. Any dentist could have that same stuff. I think I'm going to shop around a little more before choosing a dentist to remove my amalgams.

Hum, yes, probably good to shop around a bit!!! A good, really good biological dentist can certainly make all the difference!

  8. and part 2

You know how we were talking about funky nailpolish colors? OPI has come out with some great new ones! There are six of them, and the line is called Psychedelic Summer! Just Groovy is the shade I really want the most! It is this awesome blue.

Strawberry Fields is another one that is nice. It is a pink. Here is the link so you can see them for yourself: Open Original Shared Link I think you will love them as much as I do! I e-mailed them to see if they are gluten-free. Hopefully, they will send a reply soon.

 on the vampire slaying!! Speaking of nail color...my toes are now candy apple red with white flowers on the big toes! I also bought a variety box of nail colors which includes black and white. Also bought a metallic blue...looks almost black, so I'm hoping it will be metallic navy when I put it on.

    HERXATION HIDEOUSNESS

Thanks for the compliment, Jin. Yeah, it's a glamour shot. Unfortunately, I don't look like that on a daily basis!

I think everything is coming together for the wedding at the moment. 26 days to go!

    Robin

Very nice pic! Wow, the excitement is mounting!

STILL no answer from Tom and Susie????? How can we NOT tease them??? I think we've been doing well with this request ... till now ... better get that answer ... did Tom go visit her???? Are they still under the influence of Susie's famous mojitos???

Exactly! I see Tom on now...maybe we'll get an update! Someone Plllllleeeeeeezzzzzzzeeeeee update us.

Getting ready to go to the doc again. THe lower left and right pain are getting worse. I can't really bend over or move around too suddenly. It's like a stabbing pain. I don't know why.

Its hurts more when I am bloated. everything bloats me even water. Will I ever get through this! I know I still have leaky fillings. I can taste them and they are right next to each other.

I want these teeth out but I don't know what to do in the meantime. Everyday it is worse and I am frightened.

So very glad you are seeing her today! Especially since you are having that pain...she may be able to tell exactly where it is coming from and what needs to be done.

I had a great day in the country but it wiped me out, I almost came to visit you. My sweetie's directions didn't include the A part of the highway sign and I drove to the border before I realized I was lost.

Well, it certainly would have been nice to have you visit, but I would have really worried if you made it THIS far down. :P

  9. My seasonal allergies and sinus problems completely went away when I went gluten-free. I did so much better family members were AMAZED! Morgan went gluten-free and her sinus symptoms disappeared completely, too. It's the ONLY symptom she has, so she does eat gluten a few times per year ... she does not have celiac though.

My allergies are also much improved! Almost don't notice them at all...a lot of that went away when I went gluten/casein free, so while the allergies may not be directly caused by Celiac or gluten intolerance, I think the burden on the immune system is reduced enough to allow it to do what it's supposed to.

Brain fog is quite a bit better the last several days. Still fatigued. Some pain but that's definitely better. I am being diligent with the carbon, probiotics too and am up to 10 drops a day of the cat's claw. Still need to increase my protein intake more as my stomach can handle it. Am using xylitol instead of sugar--anybody know if that is a problem? So far just in small amounts.

    ...

One other thing--my face is oily now with several zits at a time. This is a real change so I am thinking it is another indication of change in my system--with hopefully more detoxing.

Glad things seem to be improving! I thought xylitol could also be made from corn...don't know for sure though. My face has been breaking out too! Crazy, cuz even as a teenager I didn't have skin problems!

Gotta go to bed now...vacation is over.

    Aw, so sorry, lol!

For Talitha, who has a lot of intolerances but is not otherwise obviously sick, Dr. Elizabeth said that it would have been possible for her to backfire if we had undergone chelation without doing this testing. Her sulfa pathways are blocked to some degree anyway. That is the LED treatment we are going up for on Thursday.

Very excited about Thursday!! Also glad you will ask Dr. Elizabeth about the possible affects of negativity. Hopefully your mother will at least not try to discourage you or Talitha even if she doesn't agree. I don't think my mom or aunt fully believe in alternative treatments, but they've seen a positive change in my health, so they can't deny something is working. :)

I could just see you sucking the chocolate off of the goji berries, then spitting the berries out! That is so funny!

Chocolate is something that is difficult to resist. It is one of my favorite things. Sometimes, you have to have it!

Not a pretty picture is it.

  10. Hey all- Wanted to pop in and say hello. I think the worst of my herx is over but I am one irritable bi-ach today and I don't know why

Donna HAPPY BIRTHDAY (I think I'm a day late! :o) but hope you had fun! Uhmmm...brownies!

Thank you!!! Glad the worst seems over...yeah, I WISH I knew why some days I just wake up bi-achy! Haven't figured that out yet. :P

    Donna

I was thinking the same about too much to soon. The l-glutamine though really wipes me out.

I can't get out of my bed. -_- I woke up at 3:30 P.M. today and I am still groggy and tired like I have the flu. She says I need to take this because my intestines are in a lot of distress.

I pooed a lot of mucous the other day and they really hurt. :(I see her again tommorow. She said we need to find something to fix this constipation. Her name is mikell suzanne parsons if you want to google her.

I'll google her tomorrow...glad you are seeing her tomorrow! Make sure you ask her all this stuff, lol. We've got to get some food into you somehow...broth just isn't enough. You can eat a couple of veggies right? Maybe puree them with the broth...they're easy to digest that way plus you'll be getting some vitamins too. How about baby food...no joke, but I bought some a few months ago when I thought I wouldn't be able to chew for some reason...can't remember now, lol.

Donna, Thanks for reviewing your amalgam removal adventures for me. OMG, six amalgams with gold crowns! No wonder you have a lot of mercury to remove. Luckily, I don't have any crowns. So, you had 5 amalgams removed in 2 weeks. Was that over two appointments? Did your dentist have the alternate air source, dental dam, and mask for you? This is how the dentist I talked with does it. Actually, he has oxygen for the patient and puts a mask over the nose and eyes so you don't absorb the mercury vapors. He also tells me that he removes the amalgams in large sections.

Oh, love your avatar!!! Yes, I actually had 3 amalgams (I think 2 crowns) removed on my very first visit. Then I went back two weeks later for the permanent crowns, and he did the next 3 amalgams. I went back two weeks later for the permanent crowns, but it was right before Thanksgiving so I didn't want him start the next round.

He had air filters in the room, but I didn't wear a mask. He did use a dam. He had a HUGE vacuum hose right next to my nose/mouth to suck out the vapors and that was vented outside the room (outside the building I think, but don't think it was let loose in the air either). Your dentist sounds very good! I like the altnernate air source! My dentist did it in quadrants, and had the Holidays and my vacation not fallen when they did, I think he would have just done all of them two weeks apart. I totally think that would have overwhelmed my system.

I forgot to mention that I had a root canal 1 month before I started the amalgam removal...that particular tooth was redrilled THREE times! I'm surprised I don't set off metal detectors.

Yes, I saw that thread too. What I felt bad about was that the original newbie poster felt attacked (and rightly so!) and said she realized she didn't belong on the forum. I saw no further posts from her.

That is just so unfortunate! Newbies have so many questions and I hate to see them made to feel unwelcome like that. I totally missed that thread!

  11. You said you had some chocolate covered goji berries? I have never eaten goji berries.

What do they taste like? I heard they have a lot of antioxidents. Meanwhile, almond butter sounds so good to me too! Chocolate with it would be even better!

 well, I mostly only tasted the chocolate, which is why they ended up in the disposal. :P I was Racheling the goji berries for the chocolate. Hello, my name is Donna and I am a chocoholic!

My new naturopath says I am low in zinc. I wonder if I should start taking this as well. I want to try vitamins and minerals. I know my body needs them. So what's the hold up on the doctors giving me these. It really upsets me. As the l-glutamine wears me OUT.

The hold up may be that they don't want to overload your system. Even good things can be bad if your body isn't able to handle them. I know on several of my vitamins and minerals, they had me take MUCH less than the serving size on the bottle. I think with as many problems as you have I'd run it by the doc first.

Both my doctor and the BioSET lady said I should be very careful about taking stuff that I can't handle yet even if it's good stuff. Vitamin C is a good thing right, well we couldn't find any of them that I could take more than just a few miligrams of (testing through BioSET).

I saw someone get really upset in another thread because someone mentioned the consistency of their stool.

Oh holy guacamole! They'd definitely be traumatized by THIS thread, lol!!! How awful to not be able to describe what you're going through...this IS afterall a Celiac site...most people here have SOME kind of poop issue. :P

  12. Hello and Welcome!

I was one of those that got rid of a lot of stuff. I kept my stainless steel pans, but got rid of my non-stick stuff. I got rid of my wooden spoon and things like that, because it just seems like I wouldn't be able to get them clean enough.

I bought new strainers, but this time got stainless steel instead of plastic.

I had just purchased a new toaster oven, so since I was able to remove most of the insides for cleaning, didn't worry too much about that.

  13. Happy birthday Donna.

Everyone: I'm trying to read the posts or at least skim them--just don't have energy to respond much right now.

    Thank you!!!

I't really hard to keep up sometimes isn't it?!

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!

I hope you had a good day- it sounds as though it was pretty relaxing- and hopefully your treat won't cause any problems.

Anyways you deserve to have 100 treats and bright blue toes and lots of warm epsom baths becasue your amazing

Thank you dear Mia, what a very sweet thing to say!

Isnt Mia just the sweetest?? This is why she's Sweet Spice.

Donna....YES....epsom salt baths, bright blue birthday toes...and...and...I just cant bring myself to say it.

    OK...since its your birthday...TREATS!!

Hope you're having a great birthday!!

Why thank you! :P I DID reign myself in...all bumble bars are still where they were...I even dumped some chocolate covered goji berries down the drain so I wouldn't eat any more. I may extend my birthday until this morning though...haven't decided yet...haven't eaten yet...still debating.

    OMG - -- nieces left at 4 - - - out-of-town friends arrived at 5 (my college roommate and her oldest daughter - oh Tom, from San Jose:)) - - - I am making mo-hee-tos - - - - just the quickest drive-by to wish Donna

    HAPPY BIRTHDAY!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

    Do I read this right?

Thank you!!! I agree with Carla....did I read this right??!! :P

I would be very interested in knowing what this bloating thing is all about as well. When you wear a pair of pants and six days later they won't go around you...it is NOT because you ate too much!!!!

I get bloated mostly from eating too much sugar. Doesn't have to be simple sugars either...too much of any kind of starch, but lots of things can do it. :(

Hi Lisa, I have 5 amalgams. You and Donna are scaring me because you both got sick after taking out your amalgams. This is exactly the reason I'm afraid to do it!

6 of my amalgams had gold crowns over them! I definitely had galvanic reactions going on! Also, every one of those molars had been redrilled and refilled at least once BEFORE the drilling/filling when the crowns were put on!

Keep in mind that I had 11 amalgams, so I had 3 out on the first visit and 3 on the second visit...those were two weeks apart (the week before Thanksgiving). I then convinced my dentist to let me have a break for Thanksgiving, my vacation and Christmas/New Years. I got sick the day I returned after my vacation (about the middle of Dec). I think I wasn't eating properly because I was on vacation, and I was definitely NOT resting like I should have been. We did a TON of walking and then went to Disneyworld were I did even MORE walking and poor eating. My adrenals were extremely fatigued even before we started this whole thing (I'm still not recovered actually from adrenal fatigue). So I think all of those things combined made me pretty sick.

I had the last 5 amalgams out starting in January over a two week period. I got much less sick from the second half. I was eating properly and resting and taking my supplements as scheduled. I felt a bit run down and had bad sore throat, but seemed to recover from it faster.

It really does depend on the person. Do you consider yourself to be healthy right now? Do you think your body can handle it? If your body doesnt have enough time to detox from one removal and then you go to the next and then the next...you could be accumulating mercury faster than you can get rid of it.

It really depends on how well your body detoxes and how strong your immune system is. You could always do the first removal and see how you feel and then go from there. If you feel any sickness I wouldnt rush it all in one month. Its better to go slow and be safe.

I dont see it yet but my computer takes forever to refresh...it'll probably show up tomorrow.

Yes, I also hadn't started BioSet on the first half yet, so I definitely wan't detoxing properly and had no idea about pathways, etc., which I definitely had a problem with.

Peas is like one of the 3 veggies I can eat....I eat peas everyday. I guess I dont have too much problems with the skins...not unless they're causing all this freakin constipation.

I've been eating peas again too lately. Yay!

I am glad you enjoyed your b-day treats, even if they irritated your system some. Hopefully, the reaction will not be any worse than what you already have. If you had eaten the Bumble Bars, that might have been a different story. I have never eaten one. Peanut butter is hard for me to stay away from. Right now, I am having trouble due to the yeast bread.

I still haven't eaten yet this morning...trying to decide if I want to polish off the almond butter with one of those bumble bars and just be miserable for the morning and get it over with! :P

  14. HAPPY BIRTHDAY! Your plans sound exciting to me! That sounds wonderful! A brownie and nutbutter? It cannot get better than that! As you can tell, it does not take much to please me! My expectations are pretty low.

Why thank you! I can think of one thing better than the brownie...I completely forgot I had chocolate bumble bars in my cabinet!

Oh, and while I was taking the 30 days of pepto I was also taking OTC prilosec...forgot about that.

The problem with the scar is different than toxicity. I didn't quite understand exactly what she was saying to me. I kind of likened it to acupuncture meridians, in that the scar sort of short circuits your energy from passing through that area. Or your signals get mixed up. She was talking to me about things getting switched in the brain and unswitched, but I honestly can't remember it all (stupid brain fog).

This is sooo interesting since I have that large scar across my abdomen and my intestines is where I have a lot of my problems. :) No scars in my head except for my wisdom teeth, but that's where I have the other half of my problems. :P

    Happy B Day Donna :D

I hope you have a great day.mmmm that almond butter brownie sure does sound good.

I hope next b day it will be with ice cream too!

I hope you are feeling better today. You know with the full moon out we breed more of those parasites and the moon last night was hanging low.

    Take Care

    lisa

Thank you!!! Um, yes...chocolate peanut butter ice cream next year!!

Actually, I'm sure it will come as no surprise that I feel a bit sick after my brownie almond butter fiasco.:lol: I'll live, but tomorrow I'm going cold turkey back on the candida diet. :P

    Happy Birthday Donna!!

    A Cancer, just like DH

When you get a chance, can you tell me what you did to detox from removing your amalgams. I remember when you were posting about that.

Thank you!! During the removal I was taking something called Pectasol. It's a modified citrus pectin which my doctor said would bind with the mercury during removal. The dentist told me to take selenium, eat lots of sulfur foods like eggs, onion, and garlic. I never did pick up the selenium, but did start eating some garlic and eggs. The first half of my mouth was done in November. I got really sick in December when I got back from vacation...my doctor put me on extra vitamin C--lots of it, lol. That helped with the detox as well I think.

In January I started seeing the BioSET lady who put me on chlorella and a bunch of homeopathic stuff and some herbs. I don't think any of it was specific for the mercury except the chlorella. I started the second half of the removal in January, and by that time was taking the chlorella, pectasol and vitamin C. About this time I started to feel sick again (sore throat, foggy brained, achy) and face got really dry and itchy. I had my last amalgam out on February 7...the dentist said to not start chelation for 6 months...I felt sick off and on for a while after that, but things started to clear up shortly thereafter. I continued to take the vitamin C and pectasol.

I've cut back on the Vit C now, but I still take the pectasol...it still tests as good in ART. Chlorella tests the best though...Scott continues to emphasize how important that is when I see him.

There isn't a whole lot of info out there about the pectasol, but from what I could find, it actually looked pretty good. It IS expensive however, and not so easy to find...well the capsules are, but I'm taking just the powder form.

  15. Ah, 3 Dog Night...one of my favorites from the days of old.

Big hello to our birthday girl!! Any plans this weekend, Donna?

Nothing big...a couple of friends wanted to take me out to lunch today, but I decided I didn't want to do that...they'll take me to dinner in a week or so. Just hung out with my mom and aunt today, did a bit of shopping, ran over to pick up a stock of vitamins from BioSET, then came home took a nice epsom bath soak, then had my brownie with almond butter. Not exciting, but very relaxing.

Okay, I still haven't made it out the door and why because I am here.

 There's that vortex again! :P

I recall you saying the Helidac therapy you did only had 2 antibiotics. That was surprising. According to the research I did, you need a minimum of three to eradicate it. I was on three! I took Flagyl, pink bismuth, and Amoxicillin. My doctor also had me on a PPI. Prevacid is the only one that has been proven to help kill h. pylori off.

I took the prevpac which is prevacid, clarithromycin (Biaxin) and amoxicillin, plus they had me take a bunch of pepto bismol (bismuth)...like ten tablets of the pepto a day. I stayed on the prevpack for 14 days, but stayed on the pepto for 30 days.

    Happy Birthday Donna!

Thank you! Wow, I am impressed with our little Talitha!!!

happy birthday donna... I have to say it's impressive, you know, for a 7 year old to do as much as you and be that independent... you just don't see too many 7 year olds like that anymore...

Thank you! !! Yes, quite the active, adverturous, independent 7 year old :P Actually though, my mom said I was pretty independent. :P

    Donna!! Happy Bday!

Thank you!! You must be loving SJ today....another beautiful day here!

  16. Thank you everyone!!!

Patti, I did one better...had a chocolate Gluten-free Casein-free brownie with almond butter. Hum, may have to have the Choc Bumble Bar later though...who needs real food on their birthday anyway.

Andrea, as my aunt said today..."how does it feel to be more than half a century old?" So, I guess I have LOTS of experience!

  17. Well - - in short - - I never was even REMOTELY sedated or tranquilized today, despite more than double the dose. They gave me first batch, checked in on me after 15 minutes, said I'd be quite drowsy....and I was wide awake, told them that not only could I MULTI-TASK, I could do all of their jobs.

:o !!! I'm glad it wasn't bad for you!! Hope you are feeling well today! Can't wait to hear the results...

I had my first ART session yesterday with Eve Greenberg. She knows Scott the better health guy, and is a Dr. Klinghardt groupie. When I told her about my 5 amalgams, I immediately got a lecture. This was within the first 5 minutes of our session. I was a bit turned off about how strong she came on. I told her I wanted an objective evaluation first. The testing then began.

I think Andrea and Rachel covered the what should you do thing pretty well. I would agree with what they wrote.

I'm so sorry she came off strongly on your first session...I'm hoping that is because she is passionate about what she does. :P

I like watching Scott work...I can see on his face that he is so very interested in what he finds, and when something confirms something else.

So she didn't test for lyme? In my first session Scott found the lyme, mercury/metals, candida and lots of infections both viral and bacterial--I hadn't really mentioned lyme to him, in fact told him BioSET hadn't picked it up, so both of us were surprised when it showed up.

Does anyone NOT know Scott??

He's all over place...today he was interviewing Dr. Garry Gordon (world leader in oral chelation therapy) on the link between Lyme and Mercury. Should be interesting to read about.

    ...

For example I'm sensitized to all the metals in my body...my immune system is reactive to them. I got treated to "swich-off" that immune reaction....which would relax my immune system a bit and perhaps allow my body to let go of some of these metals easier. But no....BioSET cannot clear the mercury from my body. Its still there until I go through chelation.

Thats why ART can pick up the residuals from those viruses...because they are there.

But yeah....it doesnt mean they are active....could just be remnants from previous infection.

And I am sensitized to the metals, candida, infections, but not to the lyme which is why BioSET finds everything but the lyme. ART is also still picking up H.Pylori, which I know is a residual thing now.

Yeah, Scott goes to a lot of conferences and things...plus the reporting thing he does for the lyme newsletter.

Has anyone tried the Bodi Detox Patch? Any opinions on them or any other brand?

I have a country day today, much to do to get ready to travel, see you all later.

Don't know much about the detox pads...I know a few people on LN use them, and I've also seen a few people on the mercury boards who have used them.

Hope you have a great day in the country!

  18. What is a herx?

I found this online because I can't even think right now. (Which reminds me, I also have a screaming headache)

The Herxheimer Reaction is a short-term (from days to a few weeks) detoxification reaction in the body. As the body detoxifies, it is not uncommon to experience flu-like symptoms including headache, joint and muscle pain, body aches, sore throat, general malaise, sweating, chills, nausea or other symptoms.

  19. Lisa, I'll be your "twin" today then.

Well, I am exhausted. My throat has been sore for most of the day and when I swallow my ears hurt! My intestines also hurt! It must be a herx or a flare...yah, that's it cuz I refuse to call it a reaction to the nearly 1/3 jar of cashew butter I ate yesterday. Oh, oh, I'll blame it on the ALA...cuz it JUST CAN'T be the cashew butter!
