  1. Well I would much prefer to continue buying Hunts, I like it! and I don't have a lot of options, and so if you are using it than I guess I can too..also I just found out that it is suitable for vegans...thanks!
  2. I wonder what people are using to flavor and thicken their tomato sauces..I had been been using Hunts tomato paste, but it doesn't say it is gluten-free on the label, and therefore I stopped using it, I might have to order something online if I cant find something where I live....
  3. I wondered if anyone has had much success making their own Gluten and Dairy free cheese. If so please share the recipe, as I am thinking about having a go. I miss not being able to make Quiche, or sprinkling cheese on pasta. I buy everything I cant get online from Amazon, and I did see something that might work, but its quite pricey, also I cant quite...
  4. I have unconfirmed Gluten intolerance because I just had to stop eating anything that I suspected had Gluten in it as I had gone from being one of those people with a lovely flat stomach, to looking like I was five months pregnant!, that said I do wish I had had a firm diagnosis, it would make me feel better somehow, but really it is what it is and I think...
  5. Hi, I am an artist, and therefore I quickly became aware that paint and crayons contain gluten, so he could possibly be painting or using crayons at school and then putting his fingers in his mouth. Also I can clearly remember chewing on my pencil at school whilst trying to figure out the complex answer to a Math question I would ask your mum if she...
  6. Hey thanks a lot folks...I did read a lot of info on Wellbutrin before taking it, and so its interesting to hear of two very different stories/effects, I guess it confirms what I read. I will definitely watch my mood and see how I go! On a happy note, today I found a store that stocks fresh Silk Almond milk!!! the stuff they have on the shelves in the...
  7. Thanks a lot..I appreciate your thoughts. I am having trouble sleeping, but as you say that should pass, and hopefully my libido will return! I looked on line again yesterday and it says that Wellbutrin does not contain lactose! and so I think there is some conflicting information out there, but anyway I am relieved about that.
  8. MycasMommy..I am in Costa Rica, and therefore everything is very limited in terms of what you can buy, whether that is Meds or food. They dont have the 100mg tablets, and only appear to have the 150mg and 300mg tablet here, and these are the extended release, but I can ask next time I pick up some more if they have them without the extended release, but...
  9. Hey I have a few questions if that's okay. I have extremely dry facial skin, its bad. This morning I slapped on Vaseline, and then applied more half an hour later, I think I am drinking enough water, and I know I am eating well and taking the correct vitamins, it could of course be linked to my other ailments, but I thought I would ask here first if...
  10. Hey glad your feeling better..What I did when I first went gluten-free was rush out in a panic and purchase lots of biscuits, treats etc and then I came down with Candida, a yeast infection caused by too much sugar....some companies put a LOT of sugar in shop bought products, and so just be careful with that. Once you get in your stride why not make yourself...
  11. Hi, I use Rainbow Light, its gluten-free and dairy and casein free, and it has only 200mg of Calcium carbonate, 20% of daily value. I think its a good vitamin to take, and it gives you 6mg of iron, 33% of daily value. Open Original Shared Link
  12. Hi I have ordered Barilla and I am waiting for it to arrive within the next week from Amazon...I have been using Heartland, and quite honestly it is really excellent!! I just thought I should try Barilla to see which one I prefer, both are from Amazon.
  13. I will give the cinnamon roll recipe a go..I don't know why I haven't tried to make cinnamon rolls before as I really love them.
  14. Although its hot where I live I still like to make curry..and so tonight I used my Wok to make a real nice chicken curry. I like to make my curries on top of the cooker sometimes rather than putting them in the oven, usually when I want to cut down on time. And so I threw in the chicken, with (3 tsp ghee which I made myself, as it is then lactose and...
  15. BM..TIA, that sounds terrible, I had to look that one up! I think your right that you could possibly end up having a major stroke if you did a full length gluten trial... For myself I went through a tricky period with GERD, and its hard to find the words to express the misery that can cause, its a wretched condition to have, and I had to make some big...
  16. I see, thanks. I will continue going gluten-free as I know I am gluten intolerant, it just would have been nice to have had it confirmed. I didn't ask my GI for the blood test, he wanted it because I am struggling at the moment with many allergies/problems and I think he wanted to be able to get a clearer picture of what was going on. I am so sad that...
  17. I knew that for some tests you needed to be eating Gluten, but for this particular test my GI indicated that we might pick up some sort of measurement...I cant go back to eating Gluten, but really I do wish I had done things in the right order because I really really wanted to know without doubt.
  18. I actually did a lot of research on endoscopy recently, and from what I can gather its a lot less hassle than having a colonoscopy (the prep) and you will be sedated/sleeping...what I can tell you though is living with fear every single day, imagining the worst every single day is going to be far more detrimental to your health....Maybe you are feeling a...
  19. Thank you cycling lady...that is exactly what I thought, and the blood test was done yesterday. I have stuck firmly to a Gluten free diet. Not sure what to think now. I am waiting on some results for Mast Cell and my GI wanted to do these tests as well.
  20. Hi, that is good news for you! I have re read your post and it really does sound as though you are eating something that your body is struggling to deal with...or coming into connect with something every day that is triggering these symptoms. You mentioned energy drinks, those are really bad for people with delicate stomachs, even occasionally. so I would...
  21. I woke up from my Colonoscopy feeling great!!! just relieved, which is how you will feel too..There is nothing to it, but I wont lie, the prep is not pleasant, in fact its the worst part of the whole procedure. You will need a jar of Vaseline to keep your undercarriage from getting really sore, and don't be alarmed if you are sick, I was and nobody thought...
  22. Hi, I have had the following blood work done and I wonder if you could possibly help me with the results, its in Spanish to complicate things further! I was never formally diagnosed with Gluten intolerance and I have been Gluten free now since around Sept 2014, the guy that I spoke with o the phone today indicated that this showed that I do not have Gluten...
  23. Thank you all very much I will start looking at this... There is so much that I don't know about this disease, rashes, pains in joints etc, which is why I need to stick around and become more informed.
  24. Hi Laure, I don't have a clue what any of this means...and I think I need to could you suggest a link that explains it easily..thank you.
  25. Thank you for your thoughts I will definitely think about what you have had to say.
