  1. Would you say that it is absolutely necessary to have a bread making machine?..I looked at the one you have purchased and its a bit pricey, perhaps someone could recommend a cheaper one on Amazon. I don't want to skimp though if it is something I really need! a real necessity! as I'm a firm believer that you get what you pay for. I am going to order some...
  2. I cannot comprehend the logic behind changing Clinique Dramatically Different Moisturizing Lotion. By introducing Barley into the mix they have effectively cut their sales "Dramatically" I cannot help but wonder why, why it was necessary, and why they even thought it was a good idea to change something that works, and has worked well for years!...
  3. Hi there...I have recently purchased online the new moisturizing lotion from Clinique. I found the link below, from what I can gather it appears that Clinique have introduced Barley into their new product...I cannot believe that they would do that and yet it looks to be correct...what are your thoughts please? 4. Hey! Yes I am still feeling really pleased with myself, for some reason I thought it would be harder!! and of course it just looks like the real deal! What I am not so pleased about though is that I have discovered that I am not simply lactose intolerant. Through a diary elimination, and some very worrying allergy symptoms it appears that I have a problem...
  5. I have made my own Almond milk today!!!...and its creamy, easy to make and tastes good. This has really excited me for some reason ha ha!. Basically I decided I was not happy with a lot of what was on offer and found Rice milk to be the best, but really when I looked at all the added ingredients, and the fact that it is so sugary I decided to have a go...
  6. Hi, It is true that once you have been diagnosed, or know that you are Gluten intolerant, that you should not take anything with Gluten...I do understand how difficult it is at first, and of course it will take you a while to get in your stride. Here is what happened to me quite recently... Last year I discovered that I had problems with dairy products...
  7. Sorry, I just realized your looking for butterscotch chips...maybe if you are just looking for something different to the normal choc chip than these white chocolate chips might work.. Open Original Shared Link I know that www.nuts.com have butterscotch chips but I dont know whether they are gluten or dairy free though.
  8. I have ordered some from Amazon, I will be collecting them on Friday and so I will be happy to let you know what I think of them then...if you can wait that long! here is the link... Open Original Shared Link
  9. Thank you. I must say I do like spice cake, and so I will definitely give it a go!
  10. Yes, I am excited to order it!
  11. Hi, thank you everyone, I am going to order it! and I will post a signature too...I am in Costa Rica and you wouldn't believe how tricky it can be finding the simplest of things.
  12. Thank you ladies... I don't have a library where I live, I am not in the States or in the UK. Yes I could use Bob Mills flour for sure. I am avoiding soy though, and I have to avoid all lactose, even yogurt, the reason for this is that I discovered over Christmas that I was having a terrible reaction to some Meds I was taking, and it turned out...
  13. Hi, I was thinking of purchasing "The How can it be Gluten free cookbook" but on reading some of the reviews I read "if you are lactose intolerant, do not buy the book as the flour blend asks for powdered milk and some of the recipes call for additional powdered milk as well" and so of course this has put me off, and I am left wondering...perhaps someone...
  14. I have used Badia a lot..I buy it from Amazon, its good value too. Open Original Shared Link
  15. I know your right! ha ha...I must admit I am trying to make a lot of things for myself nowadays, so I should give it a go..thanks!
  16. I have just enjoyed salmon risotto...made real easy! I cooked the salmon (for two people) in a wok with a little olive oil, I then added some garlic, salt and pepper, a handful of frozen peas and a little water, I put the lid on and let it cook slowly for 10 minutes, I drained the water, and added some dry pre cooked rice I had in the fridge..I served it...
  17. What you have described is exactly how I felt (and no doubt many others) when first diagnosed. I do think that there is a profound sense of loss, knowing that you will never be able to lead the life that you once had, and so it is a natural and normal response. But you have to remember at this stage you have no idea that in a few months time you...
  18. I guess I am like many, not overly confident on reading the ingredients and trusting that I have it right, on top of that a lot of it is written in Spanish where I live, and so I was wondering on the off chance that someone might know if Kühne Schlemmertöppchen Silberzwiebeln (pickled onions) is gluten free. I have looked of course but couldn't find anything. ...
  19. Laura, thank you, I am limited to what I can find and buy where I live, I'm not in the States, but I have looked online and discovered a popular bread making mix and so I am going to order a few packets to make my own, and then I can just stop buying bread, really I don't know why I didn't think to do that before, because I have realized that its actually...
  20. Hey thanks for that I will look at these and pass them on.. Karen...your right, I will pass that on to him! I became gluten-free from Sept last year. CLady...I might have to start making my own bread..its something to think about. sunny....I have no idea how long I was Gluten intolerant, but I suspect maybe 2 or 3 years when I think back to how...
  21. Gosh this is why I don't eat out much! you just cannot trust people, not sure why that is exactly....maybe they just don't care enough, its just sloppy, and if they had this problem they would understand.
  22. Everything in my house is Gluten free, everything!! apart from some bread, which is kept in an airtight container in a separate cupboard, for my husband and daughter. Because I have a few health issues at the moment I did not want to overload my husband with the importance of cross contamination in the kitchen, but he needs to be clearer on this as last night...
