  1. I love the both the chicken nuggets and the fish sticks. I get them at Shaw's supermarket.
  2. I can finally make me some cocoa puff treats!!! Same as rice crispy treats but use cocoa puffs instead and add peanut butter to the marshmallow. Tastes like it were Reeses treats!
  3. Honeycomb??? Is that even gluten-free? I heard they were not. Not 100% sure but I think I remember seing that on this forum. Editing after searching. Honeycomb is NOT gluten free. The ingredients lists Barley Malt.

She went to a demo for Cherry Brook Kitchen and said she was impressed on how the chocolate cake with chocolate frosting tasted and she never would have thought that it was gluten free.   7. I eat a couple oranges or grapefruits before I go outside. The citrus in the blood keeps them away.

  11. To me, cutting out refined sugars and lots of exercise got me in the best shape I have ever been.
  12. Carriefaith, did you try this recipie? I did, you should have seen the mess in the kitchen I threw everything out. It did not turn out at all. I must have dome womething wrong.
  13. I was doing an hour of exercise a day, 4 days a week before I went gluten-free. After I started the diet I started gaining weight. I don't eat sweets at all. I have chocolate here and there to satisfy my cravings. Now, I exercise 6 times a week and I'm back to my normal weight. I figure that gluten-free stuff have more calories.
  14. I'm with you there Patty. I don't wear sunglasses unless I'm golfing cause I do need to see where the ball goes. My lashes are too long for them.
  15. I'm in the same boat as you Monica. Blood tests were a little high (doctor didn't give me any details). She told me to avoid wheat, barley, and rye and I did exactly that. No more gas, bloating, or D. I don't get as particular in restaurants either. I do always ask what their food is homeade or processed. Example, I would order homeade mashed potatoes but...
  16. Hahahah...I feel the same. What a rip-off. I bought glutino cereal bars. Need like 3 of them for a complete breakfast.

  18. I do love "La Messagere". I prefer it to New Grist but it's more expensive. I bring a couple 6 packs back with me every time I go to Canada. I also bring a 12 pack of Smirnoff Ice...it's really cheap at the duty free shop!

  22. Wow...wish I lived around there!! There is actually a bakery like 15 minutes from my house that bakes gluten-free stuff. I haven't gotten around to going yet. I heard they have gluten-free cannolies....wooohooo!!!
  23. hahahaha...it is true but I think the disease is getting more and more known to the public. I mean think of like 10 years ago, how many gluten-free items could you find in your local grocery store? With time, I believe it'll change.
  24. I've never had a problem thank god. I'm from the maritimes and I miss fresh seafood. Legal Seafoods is the only place I trust and eat seafood that is actually fresh.
  25. I agree..I think it was hard at the beginning but after I found substitutes for everything I like, it was kinda easy. I think it maybe be hard for a picky eater but I eat ANYTHING!! I can't think of one thing I don't like.
