  1. Spring... We're predicted to get more snow this week. Hrmph... Hopefully the forecast is wrong, wrong, wrong... I don't have many winter maternity clothes and I'm starting to get big. I really can't wait to switch to capris.

    ARCHIVED "how Doctors Think"

    Interesting article... Thanks for sharing!
  3. In the period where you put the dreamcatcher above your sons bed, was he eating less gluten due to your new diet? That could have easily caused a break in his symptoms. Celiac Disease can cause seizures. I would definitely have him tested ASAP.
  4. Well, maybe I was wrong about the good men being few and far between... It seems like lots of us have great guys that support us.
  5. Whew... I'm glad it wasn't somebody good that was voted off. I was worried maybe Haley went last night. I can't believe my stupid DVR didn't record it.
  6. Most of the chocolate chips that I've looked at don't contain gluten. I use Great Value (Walmart) brand because they say gluten free right on the bag, but they're less expensive than the other brands. I know there are others that are gluten free, but I'm not sure of brand names.
  7. AAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAAHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHHH!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Our DVR didn't record it!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Who got cut?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!?!
  8. Great... I haven't gotten to watch it yet. We recorded it. Don's putting Tori down now and then we're going to watch. I'm assuming though by that response that Sanjaya didn't get voted off. Man... I hope it wasn't Blake or Melinda to go...
  9. Don was the same way. He didn't take me to the doctor, but he watched Tori and got up in the middle of the night with her even though he had to be at work in the morning. I think he even ended up cooking some meals because I was so sick. I was pretty much bed ridden before I was diagnosed. When I was in the hospital for that week before they tested for Celiac...
  10. Eh... Isn't that what men are for??? Just kidding. In all seriousness though, a man that will do that for his woman is a rare find. Hold on to that one.
  11. I am sooooo craving a cherry ice now!!!
  12. How old is your niece? Perhaps peanut butter and crackers, raisins, fresh fruit wedges, and cheese for snacks. For meals I'd go with simple things like peanut butter and jelly, grilled cheese, macaroni and cheese, homemade chicken nuggets, or hot dogs for lunch. For dinner I'd stick with plain chicken breast, fish, steak, or pork chop (boneless) with an array...
  13. nope, removed by the user... Bummer!!!
  14. Unfortunately, Sanjaya is Votefortheworst.com's new pick since Sundance and Antonella are both gone. Ugh... He may be around for a while. Hopefully not.
  15. I've worked with my husband both in an office environment and at our home business. We are insanely productive when we work together, but we fight a lot over work. The most important thing I can tell you is to seperate work hours from "home" hours. Otherwise you'll end up working or talking about work all the time.
  16. I'll be really p'd if Sanjaya or Brandon don't go home after last night. Sanjaya hasn't sounded good since the auditions. Brandon has had like 3 bad weeks in a row. They're just not cutting it. I miss Sundance too. He was one of my favorites even though he had a couple of substandard performances. His voice was really amazing.
  17. I used Schar cracker crumbs. They make the PERFECT crab cake. I think they make the crab cakes more moist than bread crumbs do. I can give you my recipe if you want. This is by far my favorite crab cake recipe. You could probably also use gluten free corn chex-type cereal and have them turn out wonderful.
  18. I thought Blake was AMAZING!!! I can't believe the judges didn't get it. I would love to hear that on the radio!!! Melinda and Blake are my favorites now. I think they both bring a real unique-ness to the competition.
  19. Okay, I made hush puppies tonight for the first time since going gluten free. The flavor was really good, but the texture was way too dense. What can I do to make it a little lighter, easier to chew and swallow?
  20. I just wanted to post a reminder for everyone that Rita's is mostly gluten free. Obviously avoid the flavors that sound like they have gluten in them like cookie dough and avoid cones, OREO and Nilla Wafer toppers, and pretzels. Everything that has gluten in it is pretty obvious. I took Tori there today to get a Misto shake and the girl behind the counter...
  21. Actually Betty, caffeine can make you more sleepy. It always did for me. Perhaps that's part of your problem? I know, I know, wouldn't it be nice if it were that easy. I think I'd probably visit your doctor and take up your concerns with him. My father suffered from a mild form of narcolepsy which caused him to be exhausted all the time. He didn't necessarily...
  22. Does anyone know if Omaha Steaks are trustworthy? They claim to list all ingredients and not hide anything, yet some of their foods contain natural flavors and such. To their credit, I did see a few things that had malted barley listed as an ingredient. That surprised me. I'm looking at getting more than just plain old steaks. Anyone have any experience with...
  23. Geoff, supposedly all Disney parks can accomodate special diets. I recommend you call Disney and ask to speak to someone in charge of dining. They should be able to help you.
  24. No no no... lol... But I sure did love my Red Bridge before we started trying to get pregnant.
