  1. Woo-hoo! So they're still gluten free? Yea!!! They are AWESOME chips too, very good. I hope that maybe you've found a chip that's safe for you. Gibbles are made (I think) practically down the road from my house, in the next town over, so I thought they were just a local brand. I guess you're close enough to get them too.
  2. Gibbles brand chips told me that all of their potato chips are gluten free and produced on gluten free lines. This was about a year and a half ago though. They seemed very knowledgeable and the guy I spoke to was very nice. I never got sick off of Gibbles either and their BBQ chips are fabulous. They do make pretzels and rolls there too, I'm not sure if...

    ARCHIVED Outback...

Outback is wonderful, but you may want to ask them to rinse your cup out before filling it. I have found bread crumbs in my cup many times and had to send it back. I have also gotten sick from not noticing the bread crumbs until it's too late. I personally like the mad max burger w/ a side of steamed broccoli. It has so much flavor, I personally think it...
  4. I always eat Grandma UTZ chips because of their gluten statement on the bag. I've never had a problem and lately I seem to be awfully sensitive.
  5. Wow! That sounds phenomenal! Thanks for the great idea!
  6. Ha ha ha ha ha ha ha he he he he he he he ha ha ha ha ha... Thanks. I needed a good laugh!
  7. Check with vendors on the brand and ingredients of their ice cream. Maybe you can still have a treat. Also, someone posted here before saying that cotton candy is gluten free. Yum.
  8. If your sister actually has celiac, mostly gluten free is going to cause her as much damage as not gluten free. A little bit of gluten is just as bad as a lot of gluten. Perhaps you can convince her to get tested immediately now that she's seen how much better she'll feel gluten free. She will need to consume gluten up until the testing unless she chooses...
  9. Potato flakes make GREAT breading. If you want something super simple, you could always try Kinnikinnick's breading mix, it's very tasty. You could also do gluten free bread crumbs and egg. As for your little one, chances are that at 10 months she would have tested negative whether she has celiac or not. Even if she does not test positive for a wheat allergy...
  10. Walmart's GV brand maraschino cherries are gluten free. It says it right on the jar! Yeeeeeeeeaaaaaahhhhhhhh!!!!!!!!!
  11. NO WAY!!! I love that show!!!! Errr... I mean, my daughter loves that show! That's way cool!
  12. Thanks guys!!!
  13. I noticed the gluten free labels on GV brand about 6 months ago. I have only done my grocery shopping at Wal-mart since. And I buy mostly GV brand. One more reason for the snob in me to succumb to Wal-mart. They're just great.
  14. It's not a big deal if I can't have them... A friend is bringing me two six packs of New Grist and two six packs of Bard's Tale. I'll have plenty to drink. I just wanted to share in the festivities with the boys. I'm sure they'll all understand though if I can't. On a side note, Jules, it's good to be cautious about what you eat/drink. I never put...
  15. We cannot have solid licorices like Twizzlers because wheat is the binder. However, anise by itself would pose no problem. What else goes into a Jaegerbomb?
  16. Yes, I'm talking about Jaegermeister. I'm pretty sure the actual Jaeger is okay, I just don't know what else goes into it.
  17. Jules, oat flour (avena sativa) is VERY common in makeup. Wheat protein is common in shampoos. I find wheat or oat in many lotions. Oat is in almost all Bath & Body Works brand lotions. Maybe you're just already using all the right stuff??? Don't forget to check your makeup, chap stick, etc...
  18. Anybody know if Jaegerbombs are traditionally gluten free? BIG party this weekend at the races!
  19. This probably won't be of any help, but... I got that same hot tingly feeling on my head when my serotonin levels were off. I went off of an antidepressant cold turkey and it really sent me for a loop. Anyway, perhaps you recently got a little bit of gluten that caused a chemical imbalance? Or perhaps your body is recovering from chemical imbalances due to...
  20. Argh, Chelsea... I get that ALL the time, people asking me if I'm pregnant (I'm not). That has to be one of the worst insults. I just look them dead in the eye and say "nope, I just got fat." Then I give them a withering smile and walk away. Hopefully that keeps them from every embaressing anyone else like that. Ugh.
  21. Ooohhhh... I do that with pre-making little mixes for myself so I only have to add wet ingredients. Also, pre-making the pizzas in muffin pans, baking them, and freezing them, make great little snacks. They're like bagel bites without the D! Very delicious.
  22. Yes, the Foods by George pizzas are frozen. They've always been a little too pricey for me at $6.50 for a personal sized pizza. Get the Bette Hagman Fast and Healthy cookbook and try the "Easy Pizza Crust" recipe. It's by far the best, it tastes and feels like REAL pizza. Mmmmmmm.... I've been making it virtually every day. If you do the bean crust one...
  23. Do NOT Use a pan with holes in it for that bean crust pizza. It will drip right on through. The bean crust is very good, I was the one that posted the original recipe. It's very runny after mixing, but it bakes out very nice. I would get the Bette Hagman Fast and Healthy cookbook and experiment with the different pizza crust recipes that are in it. I believe...
  24. I thought TUMS were gluten free, just with a CYA statement. I take them all the time and have never gotten sick from them, not even a little bit and I'm usually pretty sensitive. Anyone know of a good, OTC antacid that doesn't taste horrible that IS gluten free?
  25. I got the Wellshire ones at my regular grocery store. They have a rather large gluten free section.
