  1. I also went up like a cup size and a half when I went gluten-free. Well, mostly in the last year. I did gain some weight, but I've dropped most of it and my chest is still larger than ever before. Interesting... Now, my breasts get SUPER sore before my period, to the point where I often question whether or not I could be pregnant. I thought I was the only...
  2. Strongbow is cider, similar to Woodchuck. However, in the Clan Thompson mini-list it says that they couldn't confirm the gluten status. I know there are several of you who drink this regularly... Any input? Is the mini list wrong?
  3. I also had gas pains afterwards. I thought it was from all the demorhal and visteral (sp?).
  4. Wow! This could be our big, mainstream break, huh? Thanks for posting!
  5. I was diagnosed by my gastro after a week in the hospital, dying. I was so weak and sickly that I couldn't even get myself out of bed. I was on morphine, vicodin, visteral, and xanax to manage the pain. It was a horrible experience. I really thought I was just going to die. They did every test they could think of and FINALLY they did the one test in the Celiac...
  6. Clabber girl is gluten free as well as Wal-mart's GV brand. Of course, always double check the label, but both of those say gluten free on the canister.
  7. I imagine you could make it with rice flour, potato starch, and tapioca starch, but I haven't tried it like that.
  8. Ok, ok, ok... Here goes: Bette Hagman's Bean Flour Pizza Crust 1-1/2 cups light bean flour mix (I use her pre-made bean flour mix) 1 tsp baking powder 1/4 tsp salt 3/4 cup milk or milk substitute 1/4 cup vegetable oil Preheat the oven to 400 degrees F In a medium bowl, combine flour mix, baking powder, and salt. Measure the milk...
  9. Hang in there, ChelsE!!! You're a tough girl making it this far. I made it 45 days on my gluten challenge and gave up. I almost threw up in public with no warning and that was the end for me. I gave up gluten for good. I wanted a real diagnosis, just like you, but it ended up not being worth it for me. Good luck!
  10. I almost forgot to mention that it's also rice, yeast, and egg free and EASILY adaptable to dairy free too if you substitute something for the cheese. I personally like it with bbq sauce, chicken, and onion.
  11. Okay, so I opened up my new Bette Hagman "The Gluten Free Gourmet Cooks Fast and Healthy" and I see this recipe for a pizza crust that only uses FIVE ingredients!!! I was in a hurry for dinner last night so I whipped it up (in record time I might add). I wasn't expecting much in the way of flavor, but WOW!!! It tastes and feels similar to a Tombstone pizza...

  13. I have never needed a doctor's note and we go about 2 times a week sometimes. I always take our food in and they've never given me a hard time. You may want to get a doctor's note anyway though in case you decide to take the kids some place else. Most places that are all day attractions that can't provide gluten free food will allow you to bring your own...
  14. Oooohhh... I almost forgot to tell you... At Dutch Wonderland they search your bags for food, BUT if you tell them that you have food allergies, you're allowed to bring in ONE small meal per allergic person. I take my daughter there all the time and I always take our lunches with me. The security guards confirmed this for me after guest relations told me...
  15. Sure thing!!! Also, if you have small children, you might want to check out the Hands On House in Lancaster. It's a great place for 2-7 year olds. Maybe even older.
  16. I live just outside of Lancaster. There's an Outback and a Carraba's just off of route 30 in Lancaster, about 20 minutes or so from Willow Valley. They both have gluten free menus. Dutch Wonderland has a Kosher stand just inside the gates that has a small gluten free menu. Don't expect much though, there are only about 4 things on the menu. There are hot...
  17. Yeah, anyone know for sure? We just had a drink named after our company by our customers and I want to try one, but it has Jager in it.

  19. Does anyone know if Jagermeister is gluten free?
  20. I bought it thanks to her e-mail reply to you. Can't wait to try them!!!
  21. I'm not sure if shrooms would do the same thing as acid, flashback wise that is... Maybe someone else would know. Seriously though, the symptoms that you described sound like a very typical flashback. Hopefully that's all it is. Though, I have some doubt whether you'd be experiencing flashbacks after one usage of a psychadelic. Hmmm... Who knows...
  22. Hmmmm... Okay, question... Did you ever do acid? Feel free to not answer that. If you did though, you may have just been having a flashback. Happens all the time and those are very common flashback symptoms.
  23. She can absolutely still have celiac. Testing usually isn't considered accurate (if you get a negative) until the child is 5 years of age. Enterolab seems to be more accurate for testing young ones. You may want to look into that for some answers.
  24. That is such a wonderful response. I went out and bought the book just to support her. What a sweet woman.
  25. Congratulations!!!
