  1. Okay guys, every time I drink Propel I get stomach cramps similar to the old Celiac cramps that I got pre-diagnosis. This also happens when I drink Red Bull. Is it possible that I'm allergic to one of the vitamins? Can that even happen? I've narrowed the cramps down to these two specific beverages. I don't want to give them up if I don't have to. Oh, I also...
  2. For those of you who may travel to Dutch Wonderland in Lancaster, PA, I thought it would be useful to know that if you have special dietary needs you may bring your own SMALL bag lunch to eat within the park. They do search your bags, but just let them know ahead of time that you have celiac disease. Also, there's a food stand within the park (Kosher Food...
  3. You could also do open face watercress sandwiches on Glutano crisp bread. Yum.

    ARCHIVED Heartburn

Melzo, I feel your pain. When I first got pregnant, I didn't even know what heartburn was. I'd never had it before in my life. Man, was that a pain in the rear. I had horrible heartburn from about the first month until I gave birth. Ugh... I wasn't gluten free back then though, so I can't help you on antacids. I would ask your doctor for suggestions. If you...
  5. I haven't been there since my diagnosis, but when I contacted corporate I got a definite negative on being able to prepare a gluten free meal. I've steered clear due to their lack of cooperation. However, they did transfer me to their R&D team to place a request for a gluten free menu. I recommend you call and request a menu. If enough of us call, hopefully...
  6. Ursula, I sent you a PM. Thank you.
  7. AQ - 41 EQ - 22 SQ - 22 Ursula - should I be worried? Is there treatment available for AS? Right now, due to insurance situations, it is impossible for me to get tested. Any advice would be greatly appreciated. I've been previously diagnosed w/ Borderline Personality Disorder and ADD.
  8. I e-mailed Wrigley since Eclipse mints are not on their gluten free list, yet the ingredients appear to be gluten free. Here's the response I got back from them. Yea!!! They're my favorite!!!
  9. When I was pregnant, the first thing that I noticed was that baby's crying sounded beautiful instead of annoying. The second thing that I noticed was EXTREMELY sensitive breasts. The third thing was the food aversion/craving thing. God help me, I swear that peanut butter and black olives tasted great on bread.
  10. Wait a second... Are you saying that somewhere has a gluten free Big Mac or are you saying that you're going to find one someday??? Cuz if there's a gluten free Big Mac somewhere, then I want to know about it before planning this years vacation!!!
  11. We will continue to keep your family in our prayers. Please keep us tuned in on her progress.
  12. You could try using a soft corn tortilla. Just make sure you heat it up first so it doesn't crack and break.
  13. I like the cashew cookie ones, but the apple pie and the pecan pie are my favorites. Has anyone tried the new Cinnamon Roll ones?

    ARCHIVED Carabas

I could live off of the Mama Mandola's soup (w/o pasta of course). I also really like the chicken bryan. That's probably my favorite. If I don't feel like having chicken, I usually get the shrimp scampi and a side of garlic mashed potato. The mashed potato is GREAT with the scampi sauce.
  15. There was some scientist's posting on here a while ago saying that due to the "blah blah blah" makeup of materials like Tupperware, they should be clean with about 10 dishwasher washings. I think that was what he said anyway. I can't remember. I know that I use all my Tupperware (but I washed it over and over and over before using).
  16. Both of those drugs can cause a sensitive stomach to go into a tailspin. I've only had oxycodone once and it made me feel SSSOOOOOOOOOOOO sick that I'll never take it again. Hydrocodone used to make me a little nauseous (kind of like being glutened), but it doesn't anymore. It may just be a non-gluten reaction.
  17. The same way it takes doctors (MEDICAL DOCTORS) 11 years to diagnose people! You're fortunate that you figured it out. Many go undiagnosed for life and end up with horrible complications from the disease. Are you planning on getting tested?
  18. I would bet that it has something to do with your parasitic infection. If I were you, I would eat small amounts every 3-4 hours. That should keep you from getting hunger pains. Also, be sure that you're fulfilling an appropriate caloric intake for your size.
  19. Mostly that's just the nature of gluten free baking, but you can add a small amount of unflavored gelatin to make it more moist. I think it's up to 2 TBS, but I could be wrong. You may be interested in looking at the Incredible Edible Gluten Free Food for Kids. It's an awesome cookbook with wonderful, moist gluten free foods and baked goods.
  20. Thanks. Do you know if it's gluten free though? My DH kissed me after putting some on and I'm trying to plan my next few days around this. Oops...
  21. IMHO it's the best gluten free pizza out there, but I know others say it's not that great. I think it's awesome! My whole family enjoys it.
  22. Their website says that all trident gum is gluten free.
  23. Is Blistex medicated gluten free?
  24. Trident gum is gluten free. Wrigley's FAQ says: Do your products contain gluten? The following is a list of U.S. Wrigley products that are free of any wheat, oat, rye or barley gluten: Wrigley's Spearmint® gum, Freedent® gum, Doublemint® gum, Extra® gum, Big Red® gum, Eclipse® gum, Juicy Fruit® gum, Eclipse® Flash breath strips, Winterfresh® gum, O...
