  1. No I'm pretty sure Ramapo Valley will ship it to you.
  2. I like Arrowhead Mills Open Original Shared Link They do have fruit juice as a sweetner, but appear to be sugar-free.
  3. The coconut sorbet from TJ's IS the best ice creamy substitute ever!!! If you don't have a TJ's, and can tolerate a little bit of soy, I like the Soy Delicious ice creams as well (I guess they just changed the name of it to So Delicious). Here's a link to the gluten-free section of their website and a chart that indicates which of their products are gluten...
  4. Yum! Thanks! There is no better combo than peanut butter, banana and chocolate.
  5. I got it at the Bevmo in Encinitas. I had read an article on the Gluten Free in SD website that said Ramapo Valley was now being sold in San Diego. I couldn't believe it when I walked into Bevmo and they actually had it!!!!! (and p.s. it makes our $7 loaves of bread look really cheap in comparison - but i guess it's still better than having to pay for...
  6. Weird. That used to happen to me too. I definitley stopped having that problem after eliminating gluten. I never made the connection though.
  7. 1. yes 2. medium 3. vegetarian 4. yes 5. oven 6. single
  8. Can you eat stevia? I've eaten gluten-free cookies that were made with stevia instead of sugar and they were pretty good.
  9. I've read that you crave the foods you are intolerant and/or allergic to. Maybe you could try to remain completely 100% casein free for atleast a month (maybe longer) and then reintroduce it and see if you notice any differences. I think it's hard to tell what's really happening when you go on and off it - I believe you need to stay CF for a pretty significant...
  10. I like the natural organic dark chocolate bars you find at Whole Foods and other health food stores.
  11. Me too! I could never in my life tolerate even the slightest amount of dairy - but I'm realizing that raw diary does not make me sick. It's really interesting to read about the differences between raw and pasterized dairy, and what happens to dairy when it is pasterized and processed (yikes!!!!). I like www.westonaprice.org for information on these types...
  12. Thanks for the info! I love that stuff too. Good thing I usually stick with the orange
  13. Yeah you should try it! It's not nearly as minty as the artificially flavored stuff. I really like it though.
  14. I really like Glee Gum. Here's some info from their website: Glee Gum is made with all natural ingredients including: pure cane sugar, rice syrup, natural flavorings and colorings. Our gum base has super chewy natural chicle harvested from Sapodilla trees in the rain forests of Central America. Glee Gum is: Vegetarian, Additive Free, Lactose Free...

    ARCHIVED Hand Lotion

Liz - Sorry you had a bad experience (I'm guessing that's probably all you really wanted to hear?)
  16. Here's a link with some info about gluten-free beer: Open Original Shared Link They just started selling Ramapo Valley beer at my local Beverages and More...which is pretty awesome! It's the first time I've been able to buy gluten-free beer in San Diego without having to order it online. I'm actually pretty impressed too...all the BevMo employees...
  17. LOL. Yeah I guess I need to go buy a better strainer so I can wash quinoa without losing half of it down the drain. Anyone ever try the red inca quinoa? It's different...kinda good though.
  18. Thanks for letting us know! Is it just called "Organic Trail Mix?" I eat the Organic Cranberry Harvest Trail Mix, which I always thought was fine. Maybe I'll have to look into that one further. ps I'm really glad the dried mango slices are gluten-free. I would be really really sad to give those up!
  19. Yeah definitely. It's just kind of a pain to wash when you buy the whole qunioa....but I still think it's really good. Actually thinking of making some tonight.
  20. hahahahahahaha The only thing I don't like about quinoa is it's really hard to wash. Maybe I just don't have the right kind of strainer. Hmmm. Go figure we have to worry about strange soapy stuff being in the foods that are supposedly safe and naturally gluten-free.
  21. I just joined too!
  22. I just made that cashew ranch dressing. It is so good!!!! I think I'll be making that really often from now on.
  23. Maybe I'm totally weird - b/c I think it's good! Did you rinse it really well before you cooked it? If not, it has this soapy coating that can make you really sick. It's some sort of natural pesticide that you have to entirely clean off before you cook it...and it tastes really bad if you don't get rid of it. A lot of the time when you buy quinoa that...
  24. Alpsnack bars, Organic Food Bars, Larabars and Clif Nectar bars are all pretty good.
  25. I was actually surprised to find about four or five celiac and gluten free groups already on myspace. Just go to the groups homepage and run searches for the words "celiac" and "gluten"
