  3. Will someone tell me what happened so I can pretend I watched it? I keep hearing something about Izzy's shocking surprise. What was it????? Soooo curious LOL
  4. It's 4:30pm on Friday here....I like the heat. Just not looking forward to the massive temp drop in three days Okay well sorry for the brief interruption. Now back to the Rachelville Chronicles, From Dairy to Lyme.... (ps I just google imaged "tick" - eeewwww)
  5. Hi Andrea, hi The Dave, hi Melannen, and hi to the 6 anonymous guests (I don't see anyone else here right now). Yeah it's 90 degrees at the moment...according to the forecast it's supposed to drop to the 60s by Monday
  6. I just spent 20 minutes walking around outside and I'm sweating! It's 34C/93F here!
  7. So this is a dumb question but if you're getting sushi rolls from an authentic japanese place is it generally okay to assume avocado rolls and veggie rolls (w/o soy sauce of course) are safe?
  8. Hi Rachel - your use of emoticons lately is so.....artistic. You seem so happy. Yay I haven't been posting much but I'm trying to keep up. Sending happy positive get better soon vibes to all. Has anyone noticed how many guests have been reading this thread lately? There's always lots of them whenever I'm here. Hi guests (Bet they don't...
  9. Hmm....I have a wire retainer thing on the back of my teeth and it doesn't stick to that. I don't chew it that often though (but I do like it. it's good stuff )
  10. Glee Gum is my favorite. It's free of all the artificial junk too.
  11. If I avoid gluten, dairy, soy, limit eating out to almost never and stick to whole natural organic foods I can go months and months and months without getting sick...
  12. I believe beans, strong coffee and soy are all related. Maybe you're experiencing a sensitivity to legumes? But yes, my other intolerances became more apparant after eliminating gluten. I think we become more in tune to how our bodies react to food in general.
  13. If you're friend's child really likes juice that much, maybe she should consider investing in a juicer. She can make small amounts of fresh veggie juice (sweetened with a tiny amount of fruit) for her toodler. That would be a much healthier option than pasteruized/processed bottled juice.
  14. OMG where I'm currently living the health food stores are the size of very small 7-11s and the prices are about 4 times higher than Whole Paycheck. If I lived anywhere near a Whole Foods and a Wild Oats I'd go to both everyday! LOL
  15. I've been butter-free myself for quite a while now (which is a bummer sometimes). Someone told me about a butter called Smart Squeeze. I can't personally advocate it because I have no idea what the ingredients are, but I hear it's gluten, dairy and soy-free (don't know about eggs).
  16. The Cowboy and the Genie A modern day cowboy has spent many days crossing the Texas plains without water. His horse has already died of thirst. He's crawling through the sand, certain that he has breathed his last, when all of a sudden, he sees an object sticking out of the sand several yards ahead of him. He crawls to the object, pulls it out...
  17. There are LOTS of gluten-free restaurants in NYC, so if you do decide to eliminate gluten, you'll still have plenty of options as far as eating out...
  18. Have you tried Tinkyada? I don't think any gluten eater on Earth dislikes Tinkyada. It's seriously better than regular pasta.
  19. I've been casein free for about 10 years. I did a challenge a few months ago with goat cheese to see if I might be able to tolerate something again. During that time, I had no idea what to do with the cheese! I seriously had NO idea what to put it on or how to cook with it. I was at a total loss. All I could think to do was eat little chunks of it. ...
  20. Grrr don't ask me about men right now LOL. I did find the Rachelville koala! I have a pic of him sleeping in a tree. He's super cute
  21. Premature post: Loooooove Ecco Bella. It's the only mascara that's never entirely irritated my eyes. Hi, btw...another ish ish here. I've mostly been lurking. Need to go read the rest of the thread (such quality entertainment )
  22. Just make the window smaller. The words are still the same size. It's annoying b/c you have to scroll quite a bit with your mouse, but it kept me out of trouble
  23. Badger Balm can be purchased from most health food stores and is really awesome
  24. Haha yeah come on over. I believe my title is...receptionist...nothing special. Thing is, the phone doesn't ring much, and when it does it's just so inconvenient to put down my magazine and answer it
